    Had i knew more than going by the description provided, i definitely would not purchase or recommend this to anyone especially if you have a Volkswagen. I called Bestbuy.com as it wasn't completely what the site description said in relation to Android capabilities and doesn't even come up on pioneers site under Android searches as hear. Was told i couldn’t return it but i could try to at 1 of the stores which both are almost 2hours roundtrip from where i live.

    I was told it had all the features I was looking for. That was incorrect. It only had said features if you went and separately bought different devices to add to it.

    I wish I could give this no stars. The lag time between this unit and my iPhone is horrible. Glitches and gets stuck, freezes, keyboard won’t stay calibrated. Shuts off on its own like 2-3 times a day. This thing is a sloppy, slow, dummy of device. Pioneer….I expect better from you. I’ve spent too much money on your products from 1987 until a couple of weeks ago. This is not acceptable.

    The radio itself is fine. I assumed it had CarPlay or some sort of navigation ability for $300. The WebLink is awful and has 3 apps. One of them is yelp, thanks pioneer

    Bluetooth cuts out frequently. My other receiver has no problem connecting to Bluetooth devices. Also, the ad (demo mode) when it kicks on, it will make the receiver sleep and cuts out the music. You can solve this by deactivating the demo mode. but demo mode is there to keep help screen from being frozen on one image. Another BIG problem was that only this receiver cannot be found at pioneer website to download updated firmware. AVH-521EX doesn't simply exist according to pioneer. Discontinued?

    The unit is decent except for the Bluetooth lag and latency while listening to music. This audio/video sync is also terrible during Bluetooth streaming playback. During YouTube videos, the mouths move and then you hear the sound a few seconds later. Spoke to Best Buy and Pioneer but was only told that it is normal. This is not normal and I wish that I never bought this unit!

    this particular radio was a nightmare for the BB technician to install, no back up camera connection and the phone connection is garbage! Someone made a big, big mistake saying this radio fit my car! The BB technician did his best with what he had!

    Dropped the truck off with no issues for installation. After they were finished my airbag sensor light was on. Took to my mechanic and they burned out the sensor. Paid out of pocket to replace and waiting for Best Buy to contact me back about reimbursement. This reflects on Best Buy not the actual radio.

    Doesn’t have navigation. Was not what I expected as the tag hanging below the item (with specs) showed that it did have more than what it actually came with. Maybe the wrong description was put up for the item. Would have returned if it hadn’t already been installed.

    bought radio with free install but best buy doesn't have the parts to do the job !!! they are not able to even order the parts!!! extremely upset!! sent me to an appointment 5o miles away to find it out. waste or time & gas.
