Good quality but bad options .

The size of the unit was an issue and did not fit into the available space in a 2015 dodge caravan. Bending metal and modifying the plastic housing was also an issue. Manufacturer verified it would fit but there was questionable issues. The proper cables needed took time to locate. Best buy did not carry the cables needed.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was goin for this radio initialy because of the price and decent features for price plus i liked all the color customization options. It was this or a comparable sony of same price but with a few better features such as 55w×4 power vs 50w×4, led display vs wvga display, wifi vs no wifi and some minor other advantages ii saw in the sony. Both were on demo display in store luckily because i ended up being very dissapointed in this pioneer unfortunately, not only did the sony of same price have the above advantages but i found the pioneer a little bit more annoying to navigate through and the biggest suprise that ruined this pioneer for me came when i began playing around with the settings/menu options, i turned lights to automatically rotate colors, played with eq and some other features that i turned on that werent on before then it happened, i went to turn on/activate another feature that previously wasnt on and bam, i get a message saying no memory left! Really? So apparently this thing has some type of preinstalled amount of memory and u can only activate/turn on so many features until u get use up the memory at which point u have to disable or adjust some of the features u activated/turned on, in order to use others or u get the no more memory message and cant activate other features till some are deactivated! Big unexpected dissapointment, needless to say at that point my mind was easily made up for me and i went with the sony of same price.

Not compatible for 2013 Chevy Impala

I went back to Best Buy installation team and they gave me an appointment for January 1 2024. I made the appointment however nothing was done to retifiy the situation. I have to turn the car radio off before I get out of the car so it doesn't drain my battery. They said this car radio was compatible with my 2013 Chevy Impala however it drains my battery. I left my original car stereo with this installation team but I wish I had taken it back.

Posted .I am sorry to hear you are having a problem with the AVH-521EX.
Have the installer check the connection of the red wire. When the key is off, the red wire should not have any voltage. If it retains power, it can drain your battery.
