Installation seemed straight forward and relatively easy. I would recommend Best Buy’s installation team. They were very courteous and professional.

Then a few days later, the unit completely stopped working (pressing the reset button fixed it). Since then, the unit freezes and needs to be restarted. Unit is still less than a month old. As for functionality, the unit does not have a mute button, which is very annoying when my kids are in the car or my phone rings.

Posted .I am sorry to hear you are not happy with the DMH-342EX.
If you connect your phone via Bluetooth, it will mute the radio when you receive a call.
Also, press and hold the Home icon, it has 4 little squares, this will mute the radio too.
Please contact our Product Support at 1-800-421-1404, select option 1.
They will provide troubleshooting assistance on the freezing issue.

It would be better if the phone would be able to use the apps via bluetooth instead of a usb cable. It has reset the stations and time a few times since I installed it.

Installation a little sub par. Just mounted mic thru dash cluster. Didnt go extra step to put where original mic was.
