Best stereo for a budget and they installed it for free it made my speakers even sound better and it’s good for someone who wants to put a sub In the back of there car/truck

My spouse wanted a back up camera. Instead of having an additional device in the car, I installed this radio. Apple CarPlay works perfectly for her phone as the primary connected device. When I drive the car alone, it sometimes doesn't want to connect to my phone right away even when hers isn't in range. Video quality of backup camera is good and the lines for the lanes adjust when turning the steering wheel. It's a bit annoying/ something to get used to for not having a physical button for the volume control.

It's not too bad. I wish it had a knob for the volume. It didn't have a wire to connect to my voice button on my steering wheel which really sucks. Overall the quality isn't too bad the EQ is set to certain settings but you can customize it. It does have wireless Android Auto so that's why I bought it but I still have to say hey Google instead of pushing the button to do a hands-free while I'm driving. If it would have been able to hook to my steering wheel completely I would give it five stars but since it only hooked up to the volume button and not the hands-free mode for the speaking part I would have to say that's the biggest downfall. Also this salesman did a very poor job of ordering what I needed. He didn't order two different things that I had to spend money on myself. He ordered the harness for it to go into the truck but he didn't order apart from Honda that I could have got generic to fill the hole. So I had to go to Honda and spend $179 on this little piece of plastic. Then I had to buy an amplifier for the subwoofer that comes into Honda ridgelines because it says specifically that you need to have an amplifier and he didn't add that into it so after it was all said and done I ended up paying almost $800 for this thing instead of what it listed for. Luckily the installer at the other store I had to go to was cool and didn't charge me the extra labor because it was their fault so I give that guy at Muncie Best buy a big five stars but the salesman at castleton one star

If what you are looking for is wireless carplay or android suto thrn this is a great buy. If you are looking for something with great adjustability I would look elsewhere. Switched from a joying android headunit thinking the sound must be better from a pioneer head unit. Ya. They sound about the same and the lioneer has a smaller screen. Thr positives is I havent had any real issues with connectivity. Galaxy 23 ultra connects when it powers up.

A really good head unit, however the sunlight can wash out the screen even when at the highest brightness.

Had geek squad install this after purchase and they were great. Did it super fast and efficiently. But so the product itself works great. The wireless carplay is almost instanious when you turn the car on. The touchscreen feels just as nice as the one in our 21 elantra. Will be purchasing again for my old mustang. A must have for older cars/trucks

Good Unit, Wireless apple carplay works flawless. Unable to get unit to work with weblink and vozsis properly to use with amazon alexa. Have looked for updates and non available. Unit reads press parking beake>release>press>p-brake again and press ok on screen (ok) option grayed out and unselectable. Will more likely return unit and get a better one. User Interface is very limited. Installed an backup camera and works fine. Overall a good unit for the customer that just wants apple or andraid car play.

Installation was easy and it really changed the whole feel of the car I installed it in. This was for my wife who has an older 2013 car that's paid off. She was on the verge of getting a new car mainly because she was tired of not having bluetooth functionality and was a little jealous after seeing some of the audio systems in newer cars. After the install she was super impressed with this radio and felt as if she had a new car. Totally worth the investment if you're car/radio feels dated.

Reviewing for a 2015 Mazda CX5. What is great? The Audio is great! The steering wheel controls work, back up camera works, bluetooth phone audio works. Best buy installation service is great. Very professional and timely. The workmanship of the install is like factory. The unit looks great. What is NOT great, which earned it a 3 stars? I lost my vehicle controls which were part of my stock receiver, such as Autolock time, headlights, auto door locks, etc. The worst thing is there is no mention of it anywhere in the Pioneer documentation that you would lose this functionality. Also, the Wireless Apple Carplay is funky. Especially if you have more than 1 drivers with an iPhone. The first time you start driving the car, you need to plug the device in to start the Apple Car Play. Then you can unplug it. This is wierd and a bit of a hassle as opposed to the advertised expectation.

This radio is amazing. I would have given this 5 stars, but it is next to impossible to see the buttons on the left hand side of the screen is the sun is shining on the radio. I have enjoyed the wireless CarPlay with zero flaws. I cannot speak to the Android Auto, but I imagine it would be similar.

The only problem was when my daughter picked up her radio (Christmas present) she was required to pay $79-$80 for installation and 2 other things……wireless harness and face plates. My daughter has scheduled her radio installation for January 11, 2024 and I’ll send with her my printed order that I bought the entire unit with parts and installation. Thank you for understanding and making this Christmas present correct and refunding my daughter’s $79-$80 dollars.

I just wanted something with wireless Apple CarPlay. Does what I need it to do. A touch of lag when you change songs but not real noticeable. Love having Siri available with the provided mic to tell it to Navigate me to a store without having to pull up my phone. All the maps and navigation work great. No real complaints.

Wireless Carplay works great. Touch screen is sensitive and accurate. It does not get very bright in my opinion. Google Maps needs restarted a lot as it will get wonky and fly your avatar around, but believe that may be a software issue on Googles side.

Loving the new radio. Really helped bring my tuck into the 21st century. Installation and wiring was pretty straightforward. Would like to point out the GPS antenna is needed for wireless CarPlay and I didn’t know that when I was installing.

Best Buy installation was great. We set it up with a backup camera and it works great. On a longer trip the unit disconnected with my phone…had to restart the truck to get it going. It can get a little confused if I switch apps while it’s booting up. And the maps have been working fine but zooms in and recenters too often, it’s a little distracting. Maybe I need to look at the settings on the phone to iron things out. However, at this price point I’ve been pleased with the overall performance.

The only reason this is a 4 star and not a 5 is because we had to buy a lot of extra stuff with it for it to be compatible with our truck. Ended up being around $800. Also the screen is a little laggy but that is completly fine for the price, IF you don’t have to buy extra components

I needed a new head unit, and as I've been pleased with Pioneer in the past, I decided to go with Pioneer again.

I did a lot of research before deciding for this unit. Price was right for the technology im getting. I love that i can connect wireless my phone. To get android car. And it does the job. Sounds great! And easy to connect. Some options for looks and sounds. Is a really solid stereo. Only flaw that i found, is that i personally like the physical volume knob instead of the touch one.

This radio made a huge difference in our 2008 Audi TT Roadster. The stock radio was clumsy, difficult to use and really didn't work for our needs. The service at the Best Buy in Olympia Capitol Mall was OUTSTANDING. John was knowledgeable (even about an obscure car like ours). His service went above and beyond and was pleasant and professional.

Great product. It’s a nice upgrade if you have an old school setup. Everything was straight forward when installing. Only thing I didn’t like is that while using wireless CarPlay, the audio doesn’t sync to the video. There’s a slight delay. Don’t know if that’s a general carplay issue or this product.
