This will be my 6th pioneer NEX unit.. the 8500 has taken the cake, i have installed these units in all my personal and business vehicles. Couldn't be happier

I purchased and installed this radio but ended up returning it to Best Buy. I own a 2017 Nissan Rogue SV. Thinking this radio was perfect. It was awesome! WIRELESS Apple Car Play and Android Auto functionality, built-in GPS/Navigation, HD Radio, Sirus XM radio compatibility and was a great unit for use! However, I ran into some issues of the radio with OEM operations of the vehicle. First, I was not able to change the time on my instrument cluster (near my speedometer) - even though this is small, it annoyed the mess out of me due to looking at two different times. Second, the radio was not always a perfect connection with my Apple Car Play and sometimes audio was EXTREMELY choppy when playing wirelessly through bluetooth and wifi. Last, when I shut my engine off, my factory radio would continue to play until I opened my driver's side door. With this radio, the unit turned off immediately when the engine was turned off. While I don't plan to sit in the car for 3-4 hours after my engine is turned off, I would at least like a few minutes to listen to the radio or stay on a phone call. So my engine would need to be continually running in order for the radio to stay on. I had this radio for under a month and made the decision to have the radio uninstalled and my old factory radio reinstalled. While I was saddened to lose the functionality and new features for my vehicle, a few of the operations were not working as I would have planned. However, if you have no issues with any of this or have an older vehicle. This radio would be a GREAT edition to you.

I installed this in my 2011 Cadillac Escalade to replace to stock Navigation unit that was outdated. I used the Maestro module and harness to retain all factory functions. This maintained steering wheel controls, and this harness allows you to customize the steering wheel controls to do what you want, retained seperate video function for both rear tvs and even wires in to the OBD2 port to read check engine lights and other live data from the vehicles computer(tire pressure, intake temp, RPMs, and a ton of other live data).

The Pioneer W8500NEX can not be overstaded as the best DVD/Navigation component available for your auto., with evrything you need at your finger tips like android auto on board navigation.wifi, and bluetooth link etc.... This is by far one of the best purchases I've made in a long time.

I bought this unit for the in-board navigation system. The screen is clear and easy to read. It gives incredible directions, shows your speed as well as the posted speed limit (and a little red light to show if you are speeding), and locates gas stations for you. The voice is clear and strong. While it can be wrong with newer subdivisions or changing roadways, the GPS is fairly up-to-date and accurate. It will occasionally take you to closed roads, or roads with gates that require a sticker or pass, but other than that, it is great.

Had best buy install it in my vehicle. Nice when it works. Only used it less than a month. Fits bade in the vehicle. Doesn't always work in reverse (back up camera). Wireless android auto drops out 1 foot away (it says to move closer?) Mode switch on steering column doesn't work with stereo, eventhough I bought extra accessories to make that happen I was told. Now it's locked up with my dvd stuck in it. I have to put it in reverse to see the home screen. At all other times it's a blank screen. Now with the virus thing I have to wait for best buy to get up and running to take it out. Not a good experience. Not too satisfied.

This radio couldn’t sound or functions any better .wireless car play ,navigation ,blue tooth ,just rocks .brought a new level of quality to my motor home .great job On the install ! love it thanks

Great radio, connects to my Samsung Galaxy Note 10 wirelessly with android auto, love the old scanner, and the navigation is great it shows address on both sides of the road as you drive.

It's easy to use if you buy after market speakers you really don't need a amp of any sort unless you desire bass by all means get a sub bc this pioneer is awesome as well as my customer service at Best Buy!

Had Best Buy install this radio and I love it. They even hooked it up so I could still use my steering wheel controls and my cars factory usb. Great product, and the Android Auto is amazing

Good headunit for the most part. screen response as well as controls are clean. one major thing I dont like about it is the lack of finding nearby places on the GPS, which is the main reason I bought it. I'm not sure if i need to update the maps or if it does it during the search but I feel like for the price I should be able to find locations that have been on the map for a while. Also for additional car feedback features you will need an mistro kit which will run you another 80$-130$.

Owning this product close to a month and wow is all I can say. I upgraded from an old school Pioneer double din (AVH-P8400BH). The features are amazing. The only con I think of is when using Apple CarPlay, the interface can be a little slow in response when trying to access the input selection or any menus. Other than that it’s a great unit at a decent price. Pioneer has yet to let me down coming from a person who was a major Alpine fan.

Excellent product for cars, very easy to use and helpful when driving at unknown places.

Pricey but worth every penny! Pros- Love the display, built in gps navigation, android/apple CarPlay, CD/DVD player, SD reader. Geek Squad did a great job installing it! Cons - Price Overall I am very happy with this purchase. Highly recommended!

Best radio ever!!! It is the best thing in our vehicle! It mirrors your phone identically which is such a joy! Very nice lighting so you can see it even in bright sunlight!

This Puoneer Avic is a Grady full capability unit that looks and works great but was tricky to install in a Mercedes due to fiber optic cabling best to have a professional do it!

I wish I would have bought this one long ago. Very stable, the touch screen is great and the screen quality is amazing. CarPlay runs great on this unit.

Has all the greatest features you could imagine! Android Auto user here with Note 10+, and works great once setup. The menu is super easy to navigate once you make a full round. Wish I had upgraded my stereo sooner.
