It required extra work to get the rear back up camera installed but it was worth it. Got Android Auto connected to it and no need for the higher end built GPS Navigation stereos. Only downfall is that you need to have your phone connected through the USB ports in the back of the stereo at all times to use AppleCarPlay or Android Auto. Otherwise you can connect wirelessly through bluetooth.

The receiver is so easy to use. I set up my blue tooth connection first thing and now when I am in the vehicle it connects to my phone automatically. I also really enjoy the Apple Car Play feature although you do need to be connected to the unit by USB cable to use it. The sound is exceptional and the included rear view camera is a great bonus.

This radio is pretty great so far. I had to get it professionally installed. The backup camera is pretty clear but the park assist lines are at an angle that would be of no help to anyone. The Apple Play works well and I really like being able to listen to my texts and respond while driving. I also really like how easy it is to use Pandora on the radio.

I thought the Alpine ILX-207 was great until I purchased this radio instead. I love this radio more than my wife and kids. The radio does everything I ever could dream to do! It comes with a free camera! Picture is amazing! The sound quality is amazing! I can’t hear my kids in the back! I can’t hear my wife talk to her man friend named Andy who she goes out of town for many extended business trips. Andy is a lucky guy to be working late nights with my wife. HD radio is something new to me and I love it! Satilite radio sounds great and came with 3 months of free radio subscription! It has a built in DVD player! It has an HDMI for my phone! It has a Remote! It has a CAMERA! This is the radio that is so loud I can’t hear the brats in the back screaming I have to use the bathroom daddy.

I love the device but the operating system isn't smooth. Just seems cobbled. Once you find what you need you get through it ok but it's not as user friendly as one would hope. CarPlay is cool, backup cam is great to have. Was able to connect it to another tv in the car too.

I just finished installing this thing finally. So far I love it. The bluetooth syncs rite up no issues. Sound quality is good. I'm running amps to all.speakers so love the 5 volt output. Touchscreen works great and picture is crystal clear. I use android so had to find something that would work with it. Couldn't be happier. Only thing I did change was that I opted for a diff backup cam due to how the one that comes with it mounts with double sided tape. My subs would have rattled it off the first day I'm guessing. MIc pics up good. I always buy alpine so was skeptical going with pioneer but I'm not disappointed at all. Gonna take a lil time to learn the unit but overall very happy.

I was looking for a lesser expensive head unit that supported Android Auto. This was "last years" model so marked down. Good sound, a lot of features. A little laggy going between screens/menus, but great for the price I paid.

I purchased this unit for Apple CarPlay and the backup camera that was included. Once it was installed, I found my sound system really came alive. Great buy!!!

Grear sound and both Apple and Android comparable. Instalation was easy and fit perfect in my 2007 Silverado. Back up camera included!

Got this for android auto and the backup camera. Brought my car to the 21st century. Only issue is the brightness settings do not lock into place once you turn off and on the unit (as in starting the car from an off position). Colors become washed out during the day without adjustments, and dimmer settings cannot be accessed unless your parking brakes are on. There are ways around this, but you can look it up online. Dimmer settings become too bright at night and there is no way to darken it without the parking brakes on. Other than that, spotify and GPS works really well with my car. Would only get this when on sale or if there is a deal.

So I had the NEX 3100 system installed in my 2012 Honda Ridgeline to replace the stock radio about 2 months ago. After using it for 60+ days here is what I think PROS - Great HD reception - Apple CarPlay & Android Auto - Nice customization features such as background and illumination color choices - Up to 3 phones can be "register" to Bluetooth. Only one of them will connect at a time but you can switch from phone to phone without having to erase or add new phones all the time CONS - Apple CarPlay take time to start after phone is connected. Sometime this could be 20+ seconds (which feels like eternity) and sometime it can even fail in which case you have to disconnect and reconnect the cable to phone (yes Apple CarPlay requires the phone to be connected via USB and will not work via Bluetooth) - The unit has separate USB inputs for Apple and Android. That means I had to get TWO USB cables run from the back side to the dash to be able to connect both type of phones. The unit came with just one cable so I had to provide a second one and now I have two UDB cables hanging above my glovebox instead of one. The other thing which I think is true for all such after market units is that you need to provide a bunch of parts for the install. Best Buy sells most of them online and in the installation bay location but be prepared to spend an extra $100 or so for the accessories which are not really "optional". I had to get the trim kit, the HD antenna connector, an extra USB extension cable and a controller unit to allow steering wheel controls to work with the new unit. There isn't a whole lot other than this that I don't like about this unit. And even with these CONS I think this is a pretty good unit. One word of caution about Best Buy "Geek Installation Included" pricing. If you buy this or any other mobile technology with the "Geel Installation Included" option know that the installation only covers the basic install. NEX 3100 comes with a backup camera and I was told that I will have to pay $99 for installing it. I also had to pay $50 for installing the controller unit which allows you to keep you steering mounted stereo control buttons. My final installation bill was approx. $190 which I was able to get a bit discounted after talking with the mobile installation manager but I had purchased the unit and walked arrived at the appointment thinking that the installation was fully covered so this was definitely a shocker for me. But beside the additional charge issue, my experience with Best Buy Mobile Service was great. The installer, Jose, knew what he was doing, was courteous, polite and informative and did an excellent job installing the camera, the head unit and nicely hiding all the cables as best as possible. And the mobile manager was very understanding about my concern regarding the additional charges as well.

This is a good, solid, receiver/phone interface, with a decent back-up camera as a bonus. The Apple Car Play interface is seamless, and the hands-free phone sound is crystal clear. The unit has plenty of native power for most people, and the sound quality is outstanding (although, to get the most out of its potential, I do recommend replacing the factory speakers, and adding a modestly sized powered subwoofer, like the 125 W, JBL 8" unit).

Best unit I have owned. Paired with my mids, highs, and subs made great clear sound. Hdmi input is great for mirror cast. Android auto works well. After some trial and error figured out how to listen to music apps not powered by android auto while making the android auto connection. It's nice to be able to use Google maps instead of being forced to pay for navigation. Only complaint is that voice activation to send texts and make calls works like half the time i try. Everything else works well and easy that it doesn't bother me too much.

LOVE THE BACKUP CAMERA AND THE SMARTPHONE CONNECTIVITY. GREAT SOUND AND USER-FRIENDLY.

I am extremely pleased with this receiver. My OEM receiver, which was from 2007, was only AM/FM and CD. I was looking for a receiver to play AM/FM/CD and also to attach my phone by either bluetooth or USB. This has all of those, android auto, DVD and plays music from my phone/pandora/etc. Happily, it also came with a backup camera and installation in the price. Great package.

I got this mainly for my truck to use the backup camera for hitching up a trailer. Didn’t use the camera that came with it. Instead I hooked up tailgate camera. Don’t know if it was the install by geek squad or camera but can’t adjust the park assist lines. Think it was the install job. I was able to before but couldn’t play dvd. They fixed dvd but then can’t adjust parking lines anymore after that.

I installed the unit myself. If you are a regular Joe, better off letting the Geeks install it for you. It has a TON of great features. I suggest you watch video reviews online. If you want simple, this is not the unit for you. If you great custom sound get yourself one. Beware, there is no built in GPS. Must use your phone.

Big screen with nice features. It is my first after market radio. This radio includes camera. I love it because connection is a breeze. I definitely recommend the best buy car installation squad. They know what they are doing. They suggested that if you the camera be installed in the center you buy another Metra accessories.
