Love it. The sound and quality is amazing! The screen is a pretty decent size. I connected my iPhone and I can use my navigation from my phone on to the screen!

I wanted to bring my 03 Maxima to the new age and with this life is so much better, and i was a little scared at first as far as sound Quality because it does not have bass boost or loudness like most Pioneer Decks, but trust me with these you don't need it, the 13 band EQ does the job, i have always owned pioneer i would never go with anything else, only complaint i have is sometimes when its really cold out it can be a bit slow on reaction after touching anything, but other than that everything is great about this unit , i would for sure buy again. Thanks!!

Excellent Technology & so easy to use; display & controls are easy to control all functions; backup camera which was included is a great bonus.

This is a multi- functional unit with great touch screen response and premium sound quality. Works well with multiple components, a great purchase.

So to pick a new radio can be a daunting task. whether to have GPS or Back-up cam connectivity or DVD player I weighed all these issues and decided on Pioneer - 7" - Android Auto/Apple CarPlay™ - Built-in Bluetooth - In-Dash CD/DVD/DM Receiver - Black First because i needed connectivity and hands free phone use 2nd because being a singer i use bluetooth connectivity for playing songs I'm rehearsing to sing to 3rd because of back-up cam ...these little babies are wirth every dollar you spend ..its already paid for itself 3 times in 2 weeks TOTALLY SATISFIED

Fantastic deck, loads of options, the Bluetooth works flawlessly, the backup cam is helpful, I can’t imagine life without Apple play ever again.

Using this in my 03 Camry. Brings much needed tech updates to the car. Android auto runs great on this, interface is similar to what you see if you just ran AA on your phone, so switching to this new head was seamless. Nice that this also gives option for Carplay, but for some reason switching between AA and Carplay cause some problems. Note, this unit is dual USB port. AA works only in one of the ports while Carplay works only connected to the other port. You'll need an extra USB extension cable if you want to use both platforms.

I got this unit because my factory Clarion head unit kept rejecting my bluetooth connections, and wanted to have a privilege of android auto, and I'm crazy abut audio. Its been about a month that I'm using the Pioneer unit and so far has exceeded my expectations. By the way i installed this unit on a 2015 Subaru forester, XT with upgraded Kicker speakers. My first after market unit was a pioneer tape deck, amplifier, and analog equalizer. Three separate units. Excellent sound quality, if you are an audiophile and was born in 70's you know what I'm talking about. That was a long time ago. Since I had purchased and used several different brands such as JVC, Alpine, Ten, Panasonic and a few more. They all have their pros and cons. Beeing an audiophile, there are certain factors in sound quality that I'm looking for. For this model like every product, there's a room for improvement. For instance, Abit pricey, although Best buy did match Amazon's lower price. There's a need for more custome equlizers, the screen could be alittle bigger, even chevy's stock units have bigger screens, the dimmer on the screen brightness doesn't work well with car's dimmer switch, sd card has limit of 1500 songs only, although i had about 1800 and it was displaying it. On the other hand, the sound quality is satisfying- NOT excellent- Android auto works with no hicups through my Note 5, i tried apple car play through my work phone and seemed flawless User interface is great Remote control works well from most angles menue acess and switching between applications is smooth Mixtrax, to my surprise, is a very helpfull tool to have if you playing alots of mixed songs color of buttuns exactly matched my dashboard illumination. As you see the number of pros exceeded the cons that's why this review got 4 stars. The lacking star is for future improvement. I installed the unit myself, I've done it before and it was fairly easy for me. I used the camera for front of the car, since my car comes with factory rear view. In future probabebly will upgrade my speakers,AGAiN. But for now it makes me happy. Other than that i can't think of anythingelse. I hope this review help you in your decision. Good luck.

This unit is awesome! It's far better than the 9703? I forget. I don't care that thing was junk. This pioneer is great. The screen is bright and clear. It gets everything right on the first touch, as it's a touch screen. It has a cd/dvd player and an SD card slot where i can load a ton of music. I have not yet figured out yet how to use the Auto EQ (I did buy that accessory) but i have the sound pretty good. Android Auto works well on this unit too. I like to stream Tunein, Iheart Radio, Audible and Amazon Music. I don't do spotify or pandora. I can customize the screen icons to a degree. I WISH i could add more apps, like a compass, hopefully if there is a firmware update someday. I can easily customize the screen though. HD radio is only "OK". I don't like how it goes from 104.1-1 to 104.1.2, 401.1-3, etc. i also don't like that the text is so large that the blasted radio has to scroll the text when a song is on the radio. I mean seriously... it should be adjustable so that i can see the artist, album and song title without scrolling. But that's little stuff. I also use Satellite quite a bit and i use WAZE for maps daily. In all, i'm totally happy with this radio. At least, for now. :)

Tons of pioneer pre-installed controls and apps. But the andriod auto makes this unit extra special. Great features for the price.

Backup Camera included with receiver - works great. Takes a bit to learn all of the functions, as there are many! Awesome sound, hands free mapping, hands free talking.

So I am rather P.O. that they released a newer model with no apparent upgrades except to put proper 24db/octave crossovers in the firmware. There should be an update for this one at this price level. It sounds good with a good source and serious tweaking. Auto EQ/Time alignment is fairly worthless. I had to tune out a resonance by ear and set up time alignment with a tape measure. Totally avoid using "sound retriever" if you have eq'd and time aligned it. It contributed to the resonance I had from my dash speakers.

Does all I want and more. Installation was great. Went over everything with me and synced my phone and iPod.

The Pioneer AVH-4201NEX is an incredible purchase for anyone that is interested in the luxuries of an updated touchscreen in-dash system for your vehicle. The newest 4201NEX model now includes a backup dash camera, which really solidifies the experience of having an upgraded vehicle. Pioneer is a great brand and I highly recommend this purchase!

Bought for Aus market and discovered the AM and FM radio jumps bigger than what we have. (I did research and asked and was advised it should work). this is not a great loss. AM Aus jumps 9 AM USA jumps 10 FM Aus jumps 0.1 FM USA jumps 0.2 . Now the really annoying feature. Bought for auto android. This is terrible. many times it just doesnt want to work even when connected. Restarting or disconnecting reconnecting phone doesnt work. Somes times you get the phone features and nothing else. I wanted the WAZE feature. When it does work its ok. . On car startup there is a long delay before it initializes and works. . Be sure you have 2 USB cables connected as only 1 port worsk for android and one for iphone. . Sound and audio controls are feature packed. You can change the colour and even choose your own screen background. . The included microphone is surprising good. I hear my friends included alpine mic and its pics up the car and wind noise. This mic doesnt. . I know its a safety feature but when scrolling through call history for phone after 2 page downs it locks up whilst driving. . Nice feature included is the ability to tilt the screen for optimum viewing. This is stored so when you restart the car it moves back into place from its off position. . A issue I found is even when you pause an audio track from the SD card, and make a call, when you hang up it automatically starts playing the file again. . I would wait for an open box or discounted price.

Love all the features and highly recommend it. Only wish it also had the HDMI and USB cable included.

We finally decided to upgrade the old 2005 stock Toyota Radio with cassette tape to this Pioneer system with apple play capable and back-up camera bundle. It is definitely a big difference no doubt. Although it did not come with built in Navi. the apple play allows us to use the google maps or waze app sync with our iphone. too many possibilities to connect to mobile devices. and with the back-up camera, it just placed icing on the cake.

This pioneer deck has everything anyone could need. It’s easy functionality and user friendly interface makes me very happy I purchased this model. I was more of a kenwood fan but this one was less expensive for the same options plus it had a back up camera which is why I switched out my radio in the first place. Very happy with my Pioneer
