I come from an older pioneer model in which the screen stopped recognizing touch. This was a big upgrade since it came with Apple carplay and an improved screen resolution. One highlight of this model is that it allows the use of Apple carplay wirelessly, with the caveat that If you have a passenger using it to watch videos through the wireless Apple carplay connection, there is a meaningful delay in which the video will not be in sync with the sound. The radio a few times has gotten a bit buggy but updates to the firmware have been available online. The screen brightness is great and has a way to dim via a 2 step button press, but at times I wish I could turn off the screen in its entirety like I was able to with my prior pioneer to facilitate night time driving. If you don’t plan to use the wireless option than go with a more affordable model that doesn’t come with it. If I knew about the video sync delay I would have gone with a non wireless model. Currently I tend to only use the plug in option, that way the phone charges while driving.

Installed in 2003 Ford Mustang GT by Geek Squad and it totally ups the vehicle. Coupled with the other mods I’ve made to the car, the refurbishment is now complete. Paired with my Apple iOS device(s), it’s awesome to get CarPlay capability without having to plug a lightning cable into my iPhone every time I get into the car. Also added a $70 backup camera to the system as well as a dash-mount dual USB port. Total system is stunning and I’m very happy with it. Geek Squad installation was phenomenal.

Works great and sounds good too. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay works without a problem. Great option if you want to use the unit for nav.

Every aspect of this unit is user friendly and operates smoothly. The sound is really good. The menu, screen, and all functions are easily accessible and work well.

Bought this radio around the holidays, had it installed xmas eve, had some issues with it, needed an update right away. Alot of the features wouldn't work, had to set up another appt to get everything fixed, with everything working fine it's the best radio I've had in any of my vehicles. Andy my installer was awesone

Love this stereo screen. Fit in dash perfectly, all features work really well in my Nissan Sentra.

When it came to finding the best in-dash receiver for my wife and my needs, it can become a little contentious because my wife has an iPhone and I have an android. This in dash receiver though works great with both. The best is that your phone connects for apple car play and android auto wirelessly, so we didn't have to worry about changing the cords back in forth to get it to work. Highly recommend!

Very pleased with my choice. looked at a lot of different receivers before choosing the Pioneer. The large screen replaces my need for a separate nav unit and the hidden CD/DVD played was just an added bonus.

I researched and researched pioneer alpine and kenwood decks and I always kept coming back to this line of double dins. I have not hooked it up yet due to other priorities but if it’s anything like the YouTube videos this is a sweet deck and thanks to Best Buy’s price match to make my life easier on getting the right nex deck

Unit is as described. It has Apple Carplay and Android Auto. You can extend almost anything from your phone to your car radio. I'm pleased with my purchase. The guys at Geek Squad were great with the install. Be Shure to get the brake bypass if you want to use your radio while driving.

Bought this to replace my 2007 OEM Honda radio. Didn't know what I was missing. Its an awesome selection and I have always had good results with Pioneer products in the past. Apple Car Play works very well!

I am so happy to have replaced the stock stereo to this one. Back in 2007 there were no options for hands free or Bluetooth with the stock stereo for a 2007 Mustang. This head unit rocks!

Have been looking for an Apple Car Play unit for my truck since having one in a rental car last Oct. This Pioneer unit fits the bill perfectly. The 7 inch screen gives the best presentation especially when using Apple maps for navigation.

My husband bought this to replace the one in my car. He didn’t have any trouble installing it himself. It’s easy to maneuver between the radio and car play. I do wish you could dim the screen a bit more for night time driving.

I stopped by my local store to look at a more inexpensive option but the display on this stereo was far superior on this one! The wireless Android auto and wireless car play is a great feature that works great with my pixel 2xl

This radio fit perfectly into my truck.The sound is fantastic and all the little extras make this one of the best. I am glad I spent the money to upgrade this before vacation.I am sure we will enjoy the music on our way to Myrtle Beach.
