Very Glitchy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this unit specificly because of the Wireless Android Auto capability. The usb cable brand is very specific and will not function properly with just any usb cable. I have only been able to get the usb android auto to function and it disconnects randomly. I've had the navigation drop at critical moments causing a very unsafe situation for me and drivers around me. It turns out this unit does not play well with a Galaxy S7. Wireless android auto is a fail on this device. Stay away. I will be returning this for a kenwood unit.

Too Many Bugs
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this for the wireless android auto and wireless carplay. I have android and my spouse has ios. This unit does a very poor job of switching between wireless android auto and carplay. Plugging into USB still works. When I take a phone call from a bluetooth connected phone, audio stops working until a restart. Speaking of restarts, you can put your car into accessory and the radio will remain turned on. If you go from accessory to turning the car on, it restarts which is annoying. The fan is pretty loud. Voice prompts don't work reliably in Android Auto. Maybe it's an androidn auto issue but it doesn't seem likely as it's such a basic feature. I'm using the latest Android Auto on the Pixel 3. often the unit will not recognize that I am saying anything. I am definitely speaking loud enough and the mic works for phone calls and voice prompts work occasionally. Hopefully Pioneer releases a software update. These bugs should be simple to resolve with a bit of testing on their part.

Do not buy pioneer

Checked online and saw the firmware needed updating. Followed their instructions and now it is bricked. Complete waste of money and I will NEVER buy anything with the pioneer name on it again.
