This is a near perfect fit for the opening on a third gen Tacoma. Offering wireless Carplay/AA, this unit outshines most competitors with it's performance, display quality, ease of use, and ability to retain steering wheel/information cluster communication. While this unit is indeed expensive, the pros out-way the cons in my opinion ** You will need to buy additional accessories to have this unit communicate with your vehicle successfully. Do research before you buy. Pros: - Wireless Carplay/AA is amazing, using Waze (with it actually being accurate) is awesome. The UI that Pioneer created is streamlined, unlike the complex mess the Joying was. - I have OEM speakers, and they sound REALLY good now compared to the older Entune unit. - The provided Mic seems to also work well, I've called a few people and the consensus has been positive so far. - The display is gorgeous, large, and really fits in well with the truck. The screen glare is also not as bad as some other units I've seen. Cons: - I really hate not having a volume knob anymore, and that's something I'll just need to get used to the more I use this. - This is a very expensive upgrade, I feel like the price should have been a few hundred dollars less. - Getting the firmware update to work was annoying at first. - The CarAVAssist app isn't designed well, and I'd expect a more intuitive and informative app for the premium price point Pioneer offers. Apps are always subject to changes, so I'll keep my fingers crossed that they have something lined up to improve their app.

Despite what the Best Buy app says, this model does fit into a 2018-2024 Toyota Camry with a 7" screen. However, it does not fit if you have the 9" premium JBL sound system. It was very easy to install (with an external amp) into the Camry. You don't have to cut any wires if you are just replacing the head unit. You will need to splice into the speaker wires if you add an external amp. The Pioneer GM-DX874 amplifier integration was also super easy - especially because I used a 18/9 wire. It fits nicely under the passenger front seat. It was also very easy to change out all the speakers in the Camry. Don't be intimidated with DIY, there are YouTube videos that will show you step-by-step installation; I rate the difficulty a 3/10. Don't forget to set the gain on your amp, it makes a huge difference. The sound is absolutely impressive, with unmatched clarity at all volumes. Four loudness settings will meet your bass needs too! You'll feel like the artist(s) is playing in your vehicle.

I’m usually a Sony guy but this is the only unit that will work in my generation of Camry so I gave it a shot as the factory unit was slow and glitchy. It was an interesting installation but I got it all in there and it is such a fantastic upgrade over the factory unit. Sounds fantastic with the Focal speakers I installed and has some great features. Not only that, it was on sale for the lowest price I’ve ever seen for this unit. Very happy with the upgrade and Best Buy!

Wanting a bigger screen, wireless Apple Car play, and retain all my functions from my factory radio, I researched a lot of forums and FB pages. There are a few other alternatives out there, but you end up spending about the double the price. This Pioneer performs stellar, has all my factory radio options (temperature, gauges, etc.) and much more.

Its a very nice radio. I had mine professionally installed and i cant a bad word about it. It makes a car ride so much nicer, especially the long trips. When you have to professionally installed all your apps that you have on the phone are compatible with the modes in the car.

Love this radio. Connects with my iphone and makes it easy to listen to my music and reads my text messages for me as I'm driving.

If you are looking for a new head unit for your vehicle look no further! This unit has completely changed my driving experience!

Most cost effective option that I’ve seen when it comes to head units with Apple car play and Android auto. Highly satisfied.

It has less to do with the product and more to do with the service. Aaron and his partner were amazing! We had some hiccups but we worked through them. Can’t say enough great things about the team!

Very inconsistent. Sometimes it works properly but mostly it does not. The CarPlay is always malfunctioning so Navigation and music is not available. It’s an expensive radio or Bluetooth receiver at most. The functionality is also horrible and not user friendly at all. Coming from a highly savvy technology user.
