When I bought it the guy helping me told me it had Apple carplay and when they installed it it did not have apple carplay so the radio is okay but it does the same as my old radio so the radio plays the radio is okay but I guess my review is over at the help I got sorry

Pros: Very nice 9 inch screen. LED with 1080 HD resolution!
Cons:
1. Made for iphones only! Do not buy this if you are an android user. However, I can play music from my android phone via bluetooth. It works just fine but it will not allow my android to connect to Weblink. Weblink is primarily so you can do smartphone mirroring. I don't know why Pioneer is using Weblink...weblink SUCKS!!!
2. Background is limited to 3 shades of mostly bluish green...yes that's it. If you like that color you are in luck.
Unfortunately my return window expired, I would have returned this!

i made the mistake but i had searched with specific parameters of Carplay and this receiver popped up below a receiver i was looking at. Noticed it was open box/excellent so not a problem wiht that but i noticed after receiving/installing unit, it indeed did not have carplay. i would have gone back to a higher price receiver if hadn't thought it would not have same search parameters that i used. otherwise, the open box/excellent condition was exactly as i had hoped it would be so no complaints there. Just beware of "Other Options" on lower part of page.

This radio is a hard pass. The price and looks of it might trick you into thinking it is top of the line but it has zero features no car play compatibility the bare minimum on tuning options. I got it and I hate it you cannot customize anything. Very let down from a huge brand I expected better from.

Cannot Walk and Chew Gum at the Same Time!

Absolutely TERRIBLE.
First of all- it does NOT connect to steering wheel buttons, and its bluetooth is limited to audio. You can't use bluetooth to say - project a map/nav app to your screen.
In fact, its "Apple Connectivity" means you project through a different app - not the Apple Car Play (which it
does say it does NOT include) - but on this app, you can not run Google maps while playing music at the same time!! So I had to play music through bluetooth while running Waze through its connectivity app...but Waze kept glitching and flashing constantly while I was driving.
On top of all that- its 9" display being "compatible" is not what you think it is. It means they install a mount in your dash that this pad mounts on to. It comes off easy...with the wires attached. Which means its very easy to steal, but impossible to remove and take with you (like those old removable stereo heads were able to do).
Do NOT fall for this price. You will not only end up returning it for something better/safer/harder to steal - but the amount of time it will take out of your day to schedule, reschedule, etc will cost you too.

One thing for sure pioneer isn’t what it use to be pioneer always had the best subwoofer adjustments but this radio isn’t worth the price its not subwoofer friendly im just mainly disappointed on the adjustments they use to have makes my subwoofers sound weak
