Customers regard the Bluetooth In-Dash CD Receiver favorably, particularly praising its sound quality, Bluetooth connectivity, and ease of use. Many appreciate the inclusion of a CD player and the value for the price. While some find the display could be improved, the positive feedback on the audio performance and features outweighs this concern. The unit's installation is also reported to be straightforward.

I picked this up on black Friday, an amazing deal at $55 but at at $110 its still a nice deck. The sound is just as good as other more expensive pioneer decks i had in the past. Connected a sub (other speakers are a work in progress). Very happy with it. My only complaint is the face can scratch easy. On a side note I did have an issue with best buy that did not effect this review score. I ordered for instore pickup and was supposed to get free installation. I never recieved my email to make an appointment, and I got tired of calling them so I did it myself. So i would recommend if you are going to buy any deck that qualifies for free installation. DO NOT buy online, do it in the store.

Lots of saved channel options, LOVE microphone speaker which works wonderfully. CD player works fine. Always looks smeared and smudges very easily but for the price works excellently.

Good basic radio for replacing a factory radio.
Bought this for my '06 Ford Expedition.
Although I miss the factory radio's 6-disc CD player, I wanted a Bluetooth connection.
I do have the factory rear seat DVD player. I connected the audio from it through the aux input on the front using adapter cables (Metra 70-5520AV and an RCA female to 3.5mm plug).
I have the factory subwoofer as well and bought the wire harness which included that connection. An RCA plug connects to the radio RCA sub output.
A PAC steering wheel control interface was easy to connect and link to the radio to keep the steering wheel controls.
This links easily to Bluetooth and my Android phone. It will display what I'm listening to, including song title, artist and channel. I use my SiriusXM app and info displays for that as well.
And for us old school folks, it has a CD player as well!
One downside is the display is pretty basic. Just two lines. Probably due to it just being a double din version of it's single din counterpart.
A comparable Kenwood and JVC had 3 lines and various display effects.
Although I plan on getting a radio that fully complements all the features of my Expedition (rear seat controls and dual zone listening), this is a good radio for the money. It will likely end up in my daughter's first car when I upgrade.

The system is sleek and simply stylish. Big display, easy to use buttons and functionality. With very "attention to detail" oriented staff at the Sawgrass location (Rey), I was able to have this radio installed. The function and features are far superior to my factory system, at a very reasonable price. With CD, Bluetooth, aux, and USB capabilities, you can listen to music whatever way you want to. You can answer you phone or make calls through it as well. There's even option for Spotify on there too. Rey was able to adjust the output settings to make even my 12 year old speakers sound amazing. I love this system. Just gotta keep playing with it a little more to find out everything it can do.

Just wanted to replace the factory setup, bought on Black friday for half price. Unit sounds nice & connects w/ bluetooth easily (think up to 10 phones). Illumination is good & has enough EQ customization options for a basic user. Not sure if it's because my windows are tinted really dark but i don't have the issue w/ seeing the display. Overall happy w/ my purchase

Great Head Unit

Bought this as a deal of the day for my 1996 Toyota Tacoma and I am extremely pleased with it! I replaced an older, single slot Pioneer Premier unit that was about 11 years old.
Using the factory brackets, it fit perfectly in the slot. Hoping that I could use the previous wiring plug from the old Pioneer, I was a bit disappointed to find that they flipped the pin layout on the new unit. No worries, i just cut the old one off of the wiring harness and soldered the wires together with the new wiring layout. Since I work a corporate office job, I won't turn down a chance to play with my soldering iron if the need arises!
I'm loving the bluetooth connectivity and hands free calling features. I can have it set to FM Radio and if a call comes in or I need to make one, it seamlessly picks up the call. Call audio quality is great!
The ARC app is a bit useless, if only to keep the time sync'd on the head unit. To connect it, you have to first set up the bluetooth connection to your phone, then center press and hold the dial on the unit until it launches the App on your phone. The Pandora and Spotify features don't work for some reason, but I am fine controlling those through my phone. I also had no problem starting Spotify on my phone and having it auto connect and play my music every time i turned my truck on during a recent road trip.
The box also advertises that the radio is fast-charging compatible, but I am not sure if that works on my Galaxy S10; It seems to charge at normal speed. I turned the USB auto-play feature off so it won't play if I just want to charge my phone by plugging it in.
Sound qualiy is much better than my old head unit, I'm not sure if there was a bad connection in the wiring harness before or if it was something else, the audio would clip out if i turned up the volume too much. This radio also allows you to amplify the signal on individual speakers, which is nice for my truck because the left side sounds way quieter than the right on default settings. The 1st gen Tacoma wasn't built for a premium listening experience by any means.
Highly reccomended, and if you can find it on sale, I'd go for it!

this Pioneer CD auto receiver has enough power for 6speakers with great sounding bass,no need for a subwoofer!.it is intuitive to use
..as far as i know, it only emits a bluish light,w/c is adequate for viewing at night, but difficult to read in broad daylight..it has blue-tooth also

I replaced my factory radio in my 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan with this radio. It works great. Calls are clear in bluetooth. The color can not be changed, it stays a blue light. I also feel like it takes too many turns on the dial to turn volume up, but it's not a big issue. Skip button to go through stations is not ideal for me. I would rather push a button and let go to search, but you have to hold this one down and it skips fast. But, again not too much of an issue. Sound quality is great. Easy hookup for bluetooth.

I bought this as a replacement for my factory installed CD changer that stopped working after many years of use. This Pioneer unit fit the bill perfectly and the sound is greatly improved over my original CD Player. Bluetooth for phone calls and music streaming works flawlessly. Considering the cost, I wish I would have bought one a long time ago. The display is bright enough (no issues for me at all) and I like that is has a nice sleek look as opposed to the over engineered multi-colored face plates that many of these aftermarket players have. It looks like it was designed for an adult instead of a teenager. While it does not have earth shattering power, it does get very loud if you need it to. It was a very affordable upgrade all things considered. Also, the Best Buy installers did a great job. Highly

Great receiver for the price. Got it half off on sale. It still qualified for free Geek Squad install, but i chose to do it myself in a '99 Honda Civic. Installation was straight forward. Bought the DIN adapter and wiring harness and all went well. Unit sounds really good and has some great features; remote, Pioneer ARC, and I particularly like the hands free phone. The display is hard to see in the daylight, even with the brightness turned all the way up, but who needs to see it, just hear it.

Install was done by geek squad for free. Unit was less than $100 even with wiring harness and mounting hardware. Unit has a lot of power and great sound compared to the stock unit that it replaced. The only con I have at this point is the visibility. Sometimes it is difficult to see the screen due to glare/brightness. The screen only has 2 settings, bright and dim. Dim is too dim except for night driving. All in all a great replacement for my stock unit and I can now be "hands free" on my phone while driving and know what the names of songs are that are playing on radio or ipod.

First off, I am writing this review to help anyone with installing this unit in a Nissan Pathfinder 2003 or similar Nissan vehicle. I ran into issues and thought it would be best to help others out. First things first, you do not need an installation kit with this unit. Mounting brackets from the factory radio are used to mount the new unit in place so there is no need for that. What you will need is the wiring harness adapter for your model car/truck and an antenna adapter. The antenna adapter will be a two prong female to single prong male to connect to the radio. I also had a major issue getting the screws out of the factory radio brackets and had to use extractors to get them out. Be extremely careful doing this if you have to as to not ruin the bracket holes. When in place on the new unit, it will only utilize 3 of the 4 holes on the bracket. Once in the car, the unit looks and performs great and I am very happy with purchase. Lots of features and extras for a basic head unit. I purchased this on a daily deal for $55 for a steal. I hope this review helps and will answer any questions if I can.

I purchased the double din pioneer receiver with blue tooth capibilites. The receiver works great with quality sound and charges my iPhone max 10. It has a remote that makes it very easy to use while driving. It has plenty of power to push my four 6x9 with great response and crisp highs and solid bass.

This set has the brightest screen among equivalents available at Best Buy. Still, I wish the screen could be brighter, especially on sunny days. (Best Buy was kind enough to switch it for the illegible Sony unit that I had originally purchased. I paid for the price difference, but not for any removal or stocking fee.)
I listen on my commute to podcasts and audio books that I have copied onto a USB stick. Two issues: (a) A slight bump on the road could skip the audio back a random duration (typically 2-5 minutes) requiring manual fast forwarding, and (b) If the audio file is large (i.e., long, say, 6-10 hours), then the unit loses its place when I turn off the engine, forcing me to FF again, occasionally for a long time. (I ended up manually breaking the large file into smaller chunks using the freeware Audacity. BTW, this problem also afflicts the CD player.)
The power output is sufficient for my Toyota stock speakers and for my purposes.
Finally, the Bluetooth connection to my cell phone is convenient although I seldom use it. (Nobody calls me. Sigh.)
All in all, it is satisfactory for the price. If only it were perfect for the way I use it.
