I was looking for an inexpensive radio to replace an din-sized aftermarket cd player that quit. This my "work" car and I don't need anything to interface with a smart phone etc. This head unit fit the bill nicely. MOSFET amplifier (clean, powerful sound) CD/MP3 playback as well as having an "1/8 (3.5mm) input jack. It was easy to install and to set up. I matched the colors to the existing wiring harness I already had, soldered it together and installed the sleeve into my existing dash kit. From there it was plug and play. It comes with a credit card sized remote. I had always thought that remotes for car stereos were a bit pretentious, but I like this one. It makes it easy to navigate through the MP3 discs where you have several albums on one disc I also feel like using the remote makes it easier to navigate through the menu on the radio for making adjustments: EQ, loudness, balance, fade etc. The buttons on the faceplate are a bit awkward. (at least there's a "back" button) I believe this unit was meant to work with the remote. Bottom line: I have a commute. I need to jam. I want cd playback, MP3 playback, and occasionally to pipe in a portable device. This is a hard radio to beat for the money.

I have been a professional in the automotive service business for over 40 years, and I just could not believe how GREAT this unit sounds. It puts out great high, midrange, and bass frequencies equally well. With its multiple equalizer and bass boost settings it provides incredibly rich, full range, quality sound at a price (about $60) that just seems impossible to beat.

I needed something for my work truck that would allow me to play more than CDs and the radio. I wanted something inexpensive but with good quality and also physically appealing. This pioneer in dash deck was the answer. I now have access to my music from my phone via auxiliary as well as the radio and CDs. It even tags the songs on the radio and gives me the name in case I want to download the song later. I would definitely recommend this to anyone if your looking for a simple, straight to the point music player for the car.

It was such a bargain price and easy to install in my 1993 Astro van that I also got one for my 1988 Ford F-150. They both work and sound great and the remote control make it easy to operate.

Great sound and the buttons are easy to find. Aux jack makes it easy to play music from other devices.

Has a great sound! Easy to use. Remote control is very handy while driving. You can keep your eyes on the road. Very affordable.

Purchased this for my Dad & his '96 Chevy P/U after his old radio started going out. Overall, does as advertised and sounds great. Plays any kind of CD and simple enough for him to use with no problems. Did have to buy a universal installation kit for his '96 Chevy Silverado, but it was less than $20 bucks so no problems.

I found the radio easy to install and easy to use. It has all the basic functions I was looking for . The sound with matching pioneer speakers is phenomenal especially when I plugged it to my external music device.

Best Buy installed this into my '81 El Camino. I love it for several reasons. The ease of use, the price,quality, and I didn't have to buy some high dollar unit with all the extra stuff when all I needed was a stereo, cd player and a plug for my mp3.

I ordered an open box (excellent) Car Stereo Receiver. The receiver arrived as scheduled, was packed well and was as described. The installation was easy and greatly improved the sound of my stock speakers. Next, I will be upgrading the speakers for a even better sound. Sadly, Installation and programing Instructions were not included. Otherwise, I am very satisfied.

I am not really entirely satisfied with this purchase. Honestly, I am going to return it. The sound quality is not exactly what I was looking for in a stereo system and I bought it without confirming all of the features. The sound quality isn't great unless you crank it up to about 20-30 volume, plus I have had some odd feedback with it while listening to the radio... SO.. Why four stars? It is honestly pretty solid compared to all of the other radios in this category. (Cd player, AUX input, etc.) I will only be upgrading because of a lack of features that I desire. But that is entirely my fault. Haha The sound quality wasn't a big thing for me because I usually have my music cranked up to 30 anyways. If you are in the market for a solid replacement that doesn't break the bank, this is definitely the one for you.

This Pioneer CD Stereo receiver sounds really good (even on lower end speakers like mine). It sounds a lot better and has a lot more power than the system that came with my car. The controls take a little getting used to although this is always the case for a new car stereo system. However, even the on and off switch took a little figuring out on this particular system.

For the price, this unit is a great value. Installation was straight forward. The sound from the unit is excellent with no distortion at higher volume levels. If you are looking for something to replace a factory stereo, this is a great choice.

Very nice stereo, I initially thought it had a Bluetooth feature and when I installed it I realized it did not. Now I have auto have an aux Cable attached to it so its ok since I don't use that vehicle a lot. It's an easy to use stereo, and very easy to install if you get the harness you need for your specific vehicle.

This is the second stereo I have purchased for my second family car. Easy to program, great sound, and the right lights match my dash board. Pioneer stereo's over the years have never disappointed me. Awesome stereo with great sound and easy to program the treble and bass to my liking.

Mysterio in which I bought was a very very fairly priced very easy to install and on top of that it has great sound and it also has Easy instructions in order to run it along with that you can do so many different functions on it that it was an excellent excellent by for the price
