This center speaker produce true sound quality. The price is fit small budget I like this speaker.

Good size speaker with good strong and clear sound. Fits nicely on the shelf under my flat screen. I prefer quality and balance when it comes to sound. Though I like visual effects in movies what makes it for me is how the sound in the movies brings it together. I like the sound effects from movies but I always find myself turning the volume up during quiet dialogue and then all the sudden I am blown out of my chair with all the dynamics of music and explosions and try frantically to turn the volume back down so I don't disturb the neighbors. I got this center speaker to give me more of a balance between all the sound elements hoping that it would bring in more of the dialogue. I haven't found that balance yet but keep trying. I am sure it is not the speakers fault but it was the reason I bought it in the first place. Again, by itself it can be a very loud and crystal clear but hasn't found it's place in my own home theater system.

This speaker has very good sound. Depending on which angle you have it resting on its rubber spacers the height of this thing is around 7". I actually like how you can adjust the angle of it slightly without having to buy anything extra. If you have the room for it this is a great center speaker.

Nice center channel speaker that is not muddy at all. Be sure to check the size as this thing is big. I have it on a shelf below my tv and the curved side works perfect to angle it upward towards my ears.

The sound quality on all of these Andrew Jones designed Pioneer speakers is amazing. This unit centers my 7.1 surround sound system and the clarity of the front channel sound is excellent for my home setup in a medium-sized apartment. Highly recommended.

Bought this for the downstairs system. I figured I would be returning it, but thought what the heck. Going for another today to replace my high $ Yamaha on the killer upstairs system. And yes, I did compare it next to the Yamaha. It doesn't compute that this $69.95 speaker could perform this great, and I operate at full throttle on the volume! Just go get one, you won't regret it!

This is, along with the other speakers, in this Pioneer - Andrew Jones Line, a VERY - VERY - GOOD - Speaker System. You can use it as an intended Center Channel, or as a L + R , or as LCR set up, or even as the rear surround speakers. Put them wherever you want, they will do the job. Hook them up with an 8-10-12 Powered Sub, and You are in Business, Full Range, Sound Wise. First class for the money, and way beyond. You will be Happy!!!!

Pioneer did a great job in designing these value priced speakers. I bought the center channel and a pair of towers to upgrade my modest home theater system. These speakers deliver rich sound at a very affordable price!

I bought this speaker to finish my 5.1 surround system. It was the matching speaker for the two tower speakers. The sound is very clear but lacks a little on the lower end "bass". The tower speakers make up for the lack of bass. If you have the money to buy the complete set i would suggest doing so. It will save you a little money in the end. The only problem i have is that the speaker cabinet is rounded so they give you 2 rubber docking cradles for laying the speaker flat. It could be hard to find something flat to set it on that is the right height for your setup. Other than that this speaker will be handling most all of the speaking "people talking" in 5.1 surround sound. Its a great speaker for my setup, very happy with its performance.

Works well as part of my surround system and looks nice mounted directly above my Panasonic TV. It's a heave little beast and I had to use a sturdy wall-mounted shelf to support it.

I got this speaker at my local best buy and it was on clearance for only $50!! The sound quality is excellent and for what I paid for it, what a deal!

The center channel is the most important speaker in a home theater setup. That being said, the SP-C22 does not live up to the requirements placed on it as the center of a HT. It's not necessarily a bad speaker, especially for the price, but the key thing it should do, reproduce dialog, it does not do well at all. I struggled to hear conversations in movies, especially when voices dropped low and there was a distinct lack of fullness. I moved one of my cheap Pioneer surrounds up to the center channel and I could actually hear dialog significantly better. Everything else sounded tinny (as in thin and metallic), but this was somewhat preferable over the muddiness of the SP-C22. When I eventually replaced it with a Polk CS10, the difference was night and day. Dialog was easier to hear, there was a bottom end that was present and a fullness that I just couldn't get from the SP-C22. All that being said, this isn't a bad speaker and there may have been some more receiver settings that I needed to tweak in order to elicit better sound. The build quality was great and I appreciated the rubber feet Pioneer includes to help you angle the speaker to fire at the MLP. However, as this was my first HT setup, I went with what sounded good on the first run and the SP-C22 just didn't hold up.
