The sound from this center channel speaker, in one word, is sweet. Or for purists, not tweety, not thunderous, but, just right. It does kick out a soothing bass though. There were no reviews of this center speaker on BestBuy.com when I purchased it. I did review and compare the specifications. I also went to Pioneer's website. One of my concerns was the material it was made out of. Not until I went to the store did I learn it was not a wood box (which all of my other speakers are). It has a wood laminate type look, but it did not make an audible difference in the sound. However, the center speaker I was already using and had for more than 7 years was one of the predecessors of this speaker, obviously also a Pioneer. I purchased an Onkyo A/V Home Theatre system receiver years ago and hand picked everyone of the 7.1 system speakers. This has an incredible sounding dynamic range. One of the most important things I learned in the first time I setup the system years ago was that you need to make sure and set the frequency/range for each speaker and what is most important, I learned, was crossover ability for the center channel speaker. That way I wouldn't blow out a cone. This is mainly for TV viewing even with an HDMI connection on a digital signal. Otherwise, the distortion is ridiculous and you can blow out a cone.

The center speaker was huge compared to my Bose speaker I had. The sound is great and easy to install long as you have a big enough area for it.

I bought the pioneer 5.1 set of speakers based on reviews on line . Although Best buy sells all the speakers individually they will match the price on internet for the entire set. The set has excellent sound and is pleasing sonically for a medium sized room. I do find that the sound output is a bit low, meaning you will have to increase the volume a bit more than you might expect.. However the sound stays well balanced and the center channel keeps the conversation audible despite the effects of the program. A good, if not GREAT, buy.

My center speaker was an old Polk Audio speaker that was starting to sound a little muffled. My son was visiting and wanted a new center speaker for his system and settled on this one. In order to check it out, we hooked it up my my system, and I was impressed enough that I left his in my system and went to Best Buy and bought him another to take with him. I would like the highs to be a little more pronounced, but it is sounding better every day. I recommend this speaker if you want good sound without spending a fortune.

Make sure you check the size of the speaker, it is quite big, bigger than some bookshelf speakers. It does the job well, if you crave a 5.1 speaker setup you can go no wrong. I bought it store-used and it works like new

Purchased this for the bedroom. I wanted a decent center channel, since most of the dialog comes from the center channel. This speaker is more than enough, at a great price, for my bedroom surround sound.

This speaker has a great range of sound, only down side is it is kind of big and was hard to fit into my TV stand

The sale man (or should I say teenager) that sold me the speakers was astonished by how we navigated through the floor options. We took a little more time than most customers, but the sale man enjoyed it as much as we did. Not only is it well priced, the sound is amazing...Great Job Pioneer!

Sounds great - nice change from the tiny speakers I have gotten used to. Really a terrific deal for the price - as long as you can find a place for it - it is extremely deep/long. Luckily it fits in my entertainment console :)

You know when you can’t hear the dialogue during a movie but everything else is loud? A good center channel fixes that problem. This center speaker really rounds out my speaker system and makes for clear, precise movie watching. I love this line of pioneer speakers. Highly recommended.

I had a good but very small center channel speaker and just wasn't getting the sound I wanted from it. I listened to several speakers at Best Buy, several had good sound but I wasn't prepared to spend three hundred bucks on one so I settled on the Pioneer for under a hundred. Very happy with the sound and it gives me that fuller sound I was looking for. Definitely a good buy......

I upgraded my speaker system to the Pioneer SP-C22 center,SP-FS52 towers and the SP-BS22-LR bookshelf speakers. Currently hooked up to a Sony STR-DN840 with a BIC America F12 subwwoofer. Great sound and you can't go wrong with these speakers for the price.

I bought this on sale to replace an Atlantic Technologies speaker I need to use else ware. The AT speaker was way more expensive but was about 15 years old. The sound quality from this Pioneer center channel speaker was much better than I expected. My wife says she can understand the dialog better which generally comes from the center channel.

But this for a theater that I created in my basement. The surround sound is absolutely wonderful!

BOUGHT TO GO WITH MY YAMAHA SURROUND SOUND SINCE CENTER SPEAKER STOPPED WORKING. FANTASTIC SOUND. MUCH BETTER THAN THE ONE THAT I HAD. I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THIS SPEAKER AND WOULD RECOMMEND IT.

Compared this with the Sony equivalent setting on shelf next to this one. The sound difference is amazing especially considering this speaker is half the cost.

This center speaker is on the bulky side, but the value is just great. Great sound and it looks really nice.

This is a great center speaker for my surround system. Have had it for 3 years now and it sounds as good as the first day I hooked it up.
