I had to replace my Denon receiver and was looking for a zone 2 Not really enjoying the digitaization of the sound I can't get the depth of my klipsch and polk speakers i used to with my deceased Denon receiver

Makes my theater room come alive. Looks good had all the right connects and top of the line. Very pleased with the performance.

it has a lot of options compared to other receivers, and at this price it was the best option we saw.

We saw this as part of an in store demo and were really impressed. I found an open box deal on Best Buy.com in “excellent” condition. It was a Christmas present so we just got it hooked up. It worked perfect for 2 days and now none of the buttons will respond to be pushed. We’ve tried using the remote, resetting it, and unplugging it. Nothing is working. It’s like it’s locked up. Of course we are past the return period so now we are stuck with a $750 paper weight. Do not buy this receiver.

Never did receive the product so I really can’t give you an opinion. Really don’t know why you are asking when you should know it hasn’t even been delivered with all this technology these days

I have had to send this in twice to have it repair. I’m not happy because it takes weeks to get it back.

My personal setup- All Klipsch-2 floor, 1 center, 2 atmos, 2 bookshelf surround, 12 inch sub for a 5.2.1 set up-until we bust down some walls, or move to home with a bigger theater room-this suits us just fine. (or I can afford to buy more speakers) I would also suggest the definitive audio brand-it may be better-they have a great center speaker! Yes-if you want to control through the eARC function (which I suggest you do) you must go through the menus to figure out how to do this-save yourself some time and google!! Perfect sound-play with crossover/configuration/channel level and look at your speakers to make sure the settings match as far as wattage/ohms go-it does make a difference! Connected devices-make sure that whatever you are listening to, whether it be a streaming device, tv, dvd, bd player etc-is dolby atmos compatible, thx, all the good stuff. This pioneer receiver does a great job converting sound and producing a great listening experience. EXPERIENCE-speaking of this-I do consider myself an audiophile (someone who likes good sound? good music? sound effects?) I mean, go to an AMC movie theater and watch a film in the DOLBY enhance theater-this is what I'm talking about!!! I use very expensive headphones, my car has one of the most trusted auto brand sound systems! THAT BEING SAID-I've never gone wrong with Pioneer sounds systems-this is my 3rd. I've made mistakes, or received hand me down systems in the past...Onkyo, Sony, RCA-yes they used to make them! But hands down PIONEER, even 20 years ago (they actually had a whole system set up with a precursor to the atmos speakers) has never let me DOWN. Go with this-its the best bang for the buck-the only thing its missing is 4k@120hz-which I heard would come along to this unit with a software update. I have listened to Denon receivers, and they are good-but sound pretty much the same for a more expensive price.
