This was super easy to set up. It controls all of my devices with ease. The sound is incredible

I am happy with purchase of this receiver. I was not able to use my Pioneer receiver that I have had for 20 years because it could not have the correct interfaces (HDMI, USB, etc.) used by newer electronics. There are not enough inputs for even 2 or 3 for legacy pioneer stereo components. The receiver works perfectly with my 4K TV and 4K Blu-ray and the receiver products excellent sound from my speakers for both CD and MP3 from my Media server.

A great little 4K AVR for the price that checks off all the boxes. It's got a good compliment of HDMI ports (3 HDCP 2.2) and connectivity apps including chromecast, Pandora, and Spotify. It's a 7.1 receiver with Ultra HD and 3D passthrough and does DTS:X and Atmos. This is my second Pioneer AVR, only upgrading for the 4K support. This does not disappoint! Best part is I got it on a 1/2 price sale!!

Read all the reviews before buying. I have not been disappointed. Highly recommended by BB Geek. Meets and exceeds my needs. Was surprised to learn that Onkyo and Pioneer had merged and quality of both companies show in this receiver. Easy to setup. Nice features. Upgradeable for future firmware. Real value for the price.

I love this A/V unit. I have been able to integrate everything I have in terms of components - bluray, CD changer, video components to include 4K passthough, Xbox One and Xbox 360, speakers/surround, etc. Sound is great through my old Cerwin Vega speakers. I have the apps to manage the system over my home network (Android Apps to allow for Pioneer control). Yes, I love this! Very pleased.

WOW. ive had the same receiver for about 18 years and figured it was time for an upgrade. not only did i get this on sale it they also had an open box. this thing added so much power to my speakers its incredible. lots of cool features including bluetooth connectivity. thanks to the best buy team for recommending this to me. i also used my best buy credit card and got 6 months no interest financing.

I have never been a big fan of Pioneer but this unit is excellent. Setup was relatively easy and quick. Some of my peripherals did not have HDMI connections but that was easily remedied. Most units do not have connections for Phono without using a pre-amp. This one does. Very impressive. Great sound and easy control. I will definitely look to Pioneer when I add new peripherals.

This was the easiest surround sound set up I have have ever done. I have a Cable Box, 6 disk DVD player, XBox 360, XBox ONE & a WIIU hooked up to this receiver. My kids (8 & 6) are able to easily use it to switch between their game systems and TV. If you have a ARC HDMI input on your TV you will only need one HDMI cable running from the receiver to the your TV. Its pretty awesome.

What a great receiver! I have used Sony receivers in the past with great luck, so using a different brand was a little worrisome for me, but I am very happy that I did. This receiver is so much better then my Sony. I even had a brief thought of replacing my Sony up in the living room, but I will wait until it dies someday. Over all, very easy set-up and use right out of the box.

This is great entry level receiver with bluetooth capabilities. Easy to setup initially however, do not try to update the firmware via Wifi. Make sure you have plugged it via ethernet. Update over wifi stopped in the middle and the device went to an error mode that was difficult to clear. I had to exchange it for a another one and updated via ethernet and it works flawlessly.

this receiver has the ability to control all sound from it.there are settings after settings.I found going in and setting speaker location,height,distance and level manually paid off.before sounded great but was muted.as auto calibration muted speaker volumes a lot.after new settings my klipsch speakers scream if I want them to.night and day difference.

Previous 10 yr old receiver had ALL THE BELLS 'N WHISTLES, many which we never used. It still DIED on us. This new one does just everything we need to run DVD, TV, VCR, and AM/FM. Was easy to install and very easy to use. Also did not break the bank, either! Looking forward to using the USB adapter on the front when we stream TV from the computer.

After having a few sound bars and not being happy I knew I needed to really step up my home theater experience and the only way to do that was to go with a wired 7.2 system. But I also didn't want to break the bank, so the guys at Magnolia helped me put together a nice setup using this AV receiver, I couldn't be any happier this thing delivers!

After looking through so many receivers and reading different reviews, I decided to buy the Pioneer Lx101. Its a powerful, full featured receiver. If you are on the fence about buying a receiver that will last you many more years to come, I would definitely recommend this. It has dual band WiFi support, Bluetooth for music streaming, a front USB and aux port, and future support for google cast (stream video or tabs from your phone or laptops chrome browser) and DTSx. What makes this future proof is that it supports HDR for new 4k TVs, it up scales 1080p resolution to 4k, supports Dolby atmos, dtsx, google cast, and has other apps you can stream music from. Music and sound in general sounds crystal clear, I have no complaints at all. Can't test the 4k image upscale because I do not own a 4k TV.

System has all current features required for a 4k tv. System provides excellent sound for every audio connection. Speaker connections are very easy. Pioneer customer service is very knowledgeable and easy to work with. System has 7 channels if you have 7 speakers. I use 5 because i have 5 speakers. I strongly recommend this system.

Lots of great features, and works well with all of my components. Wifi and bluetooth is easy to set up, and the AUX plugin is great to plug in the computer. Until I checked online, I wasn't aware of a potential issue. The Phono in plus can sound really staticky. I used the DVD in since all the TV stuff goes through TV anyway and it all works great.

This receiver is amazing!! Sound is well balanced, if you can get the Class D3 amp choose that over A/B. AB amps have a harsher tone of sound. DAC is a SABRE DAC which is a plus. There's so many features in this unit it's well worth the price. Dual zone works fluidly, Bluetooth, usb, internet radio, pandora, etc etc. Remote is cumbersome but I just use android app. What I love most is the sound. Don't get any of the VSX models, spend the money and get the SC line of receivers. Picture quality of the output is amazing, connecting xbox one, PS4, and cable TV works well also. The menus screens is hard to use. connecting to wifi took a bit. Still, the sound on this blows any of its competitors in this price range.

Good easy set up, nice Bluetooth good quality good sound

Bought this to update an old Yamaha which did not have all the current connectivity. Really like the built in wi fi, blue tooth works great. Have smaller wall mounted speakers and this amp drives them really well. Did not give it 5 stars only because the remote, as mentioned in other reviews, just seems like it could be more substantial.
