Easy set up. Integrates well with my Sony 930 HD TV. Plenty of power and features. Like the fact that it uses finger twist knobs instead of the cheaper springs even for the surround speakers. Trouble is the opening doesn't allow for the larger banana plugs. This is the only negative so far.

I have had this tunner for amo. I have had a pioneer tunner be for so I know how good the brand is. I just wish the remote would turn on all my other units. I think it has great sound. I replaced a Bose 48 system with this. I think it sounds just as good as the Bose and a lot less money.

I bought this amp upon recommendation from one of the Best Buy employees to power my home theater which was consists of 4 Klipsch bookshelf speakers, 1 Klipsch center speaker, and 2 Polk Audio subwoofers and I am very pleased. On -11 it still shakes my entire house. I love it!

This receiver appears to have many of the features of a similar Onkyo Receiver but I have liked Pioneer more in the past. I was not disappointed with its power, FM, CD, BD, and TV (including Netflix) features. I am pulling in over 25 good signal FM stations from 40 miles away in Atlanta. My Onkyo 6 CD changer's digital/analog converter does a nice job playing through this receiver, especially with good analog cables. The Toslink digital CD decoding was slightly bright. The amplifier sound quality and reserve punch power works very well with my big Paradigm speakers. This receiver is at least the equal of prior Yamaha, Denon, and Harman Kardon receivers which cost twice as much. There are fewer RCA analog connections in the rear panel but I haven't missed the snakes nest of past receivers. I hope it is as durable as past Pioneer equipment. I know that it is the entry level Magnolia receiver, but I am hoping for many years of listening pleasure.

The Pioneer Elite receiver has been a great purchase. It was an easy hookup and found all of the devices on its own. The adjustments to speaker volume couldn't have been better and the switching is great. I would recommend to anyone who wants great sound and easy operation.

It had everything that I needed, for the price I wanted to pay. Connected well, sounds great, and easily interfaces with the rest of my equipment. The only thing I would prefer is the ability to rename the labels on my remote since they don't properly reflect my equipment as programmed on the receiver.

Read some reviews and had to determine for myself whether or not this was a good purchase. After installing the unit, I felt that I made a great purchase at a good price. I have yet to use all the receivers functions beyond home theater but it provides great surround sound quality for my needs.

Great BANG for the buck$! Literally. Bought it as an open box item under $400 and the sound & power is great for music and home theater. For the person(s) who does not want build an elaborate and super expensive system I would highly recommend this receiver.

I bought this receiver to replace a Pioneer Elite VSX-43 receiver that was no longer working after Lightning struck a tree beside our house. Hated to have to replace a 3 year old receiver. After reading online reviews of other popular receivers, I decided to stick with what I knew and had really liked. I am so glad I did. This new VSX-LX101 was very easy to setup and I am loving the sound I hear. Dont like the new remote as well as the other one but overall I am very happy with my purchase.

Discovered the Elite on sale and bought it right away. Most Pioneer Elite gear is above average as far as I can tell. Needed to get out of the 20th century and integrate the system with the new TV. The power rating may be a bit optimistic, but it is adequate for our living room. Using a programmable universal remote, the system has come together nicely. Tannoy mains and a Polk subwoofer are the core, with some surround and center speakers coming some time later. The listening experience is very acceptable for music, and movies or TV. There are enough inputs and outputs to satisfy our basic system, which has a Roku device and a Blu-ray player, with a couple other inputs unused. I really like the built in audio EQ, using the supplied microphone. It eliminates much of the hassle involved in placing the subwoofer and finding the right EQ for your sweet spot in the room. Fine gear at a great price.

I was looking for a receiver that would work with my home theater and cover all my HDMI devices without having a switch. This fit the bill. It was easy to set up for my home theater. Price point was the other consideration. For me this was a good buy.

Upgraded from the 2014 model and couldn't be anymore pleased. This receiver has quite a bit of options and provide a well balanced sound stage for movies and music. Also definitely perform the firmware upgrade to take advantage of DTS.

I bought this to replace a more expensive pioneer receiver that had started to shut off all the time. It lasted six years and was great. This unit is cheaper with fewer features. Not bad for price.

I really like this receiver as it offers a lot of great features. You can stream online with pandora and the hook up is straight forward. I'm not technically savvy and was able to make all the connections without any problems.

Works very well as replacement for old Sony receiver that was going bad. Easy set up, lots of options. Only issue I have is the way it displays the sound level as negative db - very odd choice for non-audiophile users.

This is a very nice unit. It replaced a much more expensive Pioneer that had some additional features, but I never used them (multiple zones). This does everything I need an AVR to do, and it does them all very well at a far more palatable price.

I am extremely pleased with this receiver, my Bluetooth devices and airplay connect flawlessly, while it does play well out of the box for the best sound after using MACC I went in and fine tuned the settings and all I can say is it does not disappoint. Pioneer it is good to see some things haven't changed and you are still a leader in this industry.
