Receiver is great. I had an old Pioneer Elite receiver and this is definitely an upgrade from the old model. Bluetooth and network capabilities make it a perfect home theater receiver.

This receiver does a great job! It has multiple ways to set up room correction, can power a good amount of speakers, and makes my home theater sound better. EARC works well for getting Atmos from the TV's apps to the speakers. I am happy with this purchase.

I too got this instead of the Onkyo TX-RZ50. I took it back and cancelled my Onkyo pre-order. The features on paper seem great. I bout a UMIK-1 microphone and boom for the Dirac calibration and did the full 17 position tuning tuning. The sound had good timing but was way too bright. I played with Dirac curves for hours trying to improve that and never found a sound anywhere close to my old Denon x4100. The Pioneer sound was harsh on the ears and just didn’t fill the room well at all. The sound was flat rather than three dimensional. I watched movies with this and them swapped back to my Denon, and the winner was clear. I hate it because this receiver has so many features. And I thought it was a major upgrade at over 60% higher cost than my Denon. By the way I tried both the amplified connections and tried the preouts with an external amplifier, no major change in the issues I’m talking about. I was so excited to snag one of these but ultimately super disappointed. I have a couple Pioneer Elite receivers I love and am not sure what happened. The sound on this one is clean but cold and kind of shrill.

adequate but not great power (with 5.2.1 B&W's & 12 awg wires), Dirac a plus but could be better (missing low end), wide range of surround options, remote should be bluetooth by now, unable to get secondary zone speakers to work (confirmed using separate older amp that everything else works)

A Very good AV receiver, But very complicated for an average person. The options and controls for set ups are kind of over whelming, the manual in the English version is over 200 pages. I used it for sending audio to 2 rooms and expandable.
