Awesome receiver but lacking third height/ wide speaker connection.

Everything is good except for its ability to decode different codec. When you change apps frequently and its sound codec is different, sound wont come out at all or sound would stop after couple seconds before it finds better setting for the sound. Also that click sound when it finds setting for different codecs.

Thjs was an upgrade from my Pioneer Elite scl-701. Well worth the price.

I returned it after the Wi-Fi began cutting on and off. The sound was great initially. These issues coupled with Pioneer stopping their manufacturing along with the possibility of no warranty prompted me to return it. The BestBuy extended warranty cost over $300, but if you keep it, you need this warranty. There are lots of issues in AVS forum. It is worth the read prior to buying.

Purchased this on sale, and when it failed after 4 months of usage, i took it back. BB deemed it was unrepairable even though it was under manufacturers warranty AND i was a Best Buy Total member. So given they couldnt fix it, the best they could or would do is offer an exchange for the new unit, but only if i covered the price of the now increased price. Best Buy Total is worthless in my opinion and be VERY careful buying anything on sale!!!!

Less than 2 months of using and major failure, unable to get out of diagnostic mode, unable to even factory reset. Paying hundreds to ship under warranty. First pioneer receiver and likely my last. Completely unacceptable and among all the receivers I've owned, some for 10+ yrs, this one crapped out way too early. Lots of good features and specs, but lots of money for what I think is junk. If pioneer makes it right, I'll update but will avoid and not recommend based on my experience.

The item was ordered on July 18th. Initial arival promised July 21st. It needs to be signed for. It requires taking time off from work. Then the item went into an unknown status. My Visa was charged July 22 when a shipping label was created. New delivery date, it will be received by August 5th. UPS still does not have the unit and back office only gives generic please wait responces. Today I was told a refund will be processed as the item is lost in transit. Could this possibly be anymore painful as a customer not getting answers to an item that you were charged for. I know BB is restructuring and closing stores. Is this an excuse to drop the ball and leave me in this situation. Confused shopper here.

I purchased this receiver open box in "excellent" condition online, and spent 20 minutes or so wiring up my 11.2 speakers and zero sound. trouble shooted to the best of my abilities to no avail. I brought it in to get replaced and or repaired to Geek Squad. they said they couldn't give me a replacement because it was out of stock, I told them okay then repair it! 6 weeks later I get an email to come pick out a replacement because this receiver was unrepairable. I show up to get a replacement and they would only credit my purchase price paid and not the actual value, what a scam! Geek squad and total tech are a huge fail, do not waste your money or trust them they will rip you off!!!

Super dupa, lovely peice of kit, hope i dont break it. Takes a while to set up, but no problems.
