I'm a big fan of the Planet of the Apes series, but I have no problem with recognizing that the latter films were really milking the premise, though they did get very creative in linking all of the films together. They definitely got every bit of story they could out of it. The set is bare bones, but when the average of each blu-ray is $4 it's hard to argue. If you're a completionist like me it's hard to resist every movie in one package like this!

Have been a fan of these films since I was a child. Love these movies. I am impressed with the video quality on these Blu rays. An excellent set with a wealth of bonus features and very affordable. Someone had noted that the Beyond the Planet of the Apes documentary was not included in this set, while it is not included as a separate disc, it is a special feature on the first disc.

I think that the "Planet of The Apes: 5-Film Collection" are the greatest and creative classic films of all-time and they quickly became my favorite classic films of all-time. I've been a fan of this entire film series and these films are very entertaining and enjoyable and have a lot of action, mystery, suspense and drama including really great and amazing casts, plots and storylines as well.

Like most series, PotA had its ups and downs. The first is an all time classic, not just in Sci Fi, but cinema history (with one of the great twist endings). The finale went out well and the ones in the middle make for good entertainment. If you consider yourself a cinema fan and haven't watched these, do yourself a favor and pick it up. See the first one, at the very least.

It was great to watch all of these classics again. These Blu-ray versions are culled from the same masters used for the most recent anamorphic DVD transfers. Note that 'Conquest of the Planet of the Apes' and 'Battle for the Planet of the Apes' include both the original theatrical and unrated extended versions. There are also lots of special features - some new ones in HD plus the original features in SD. Enjoy!!!

At $19.99, I couldn't pass up this five film set of the original Planet of the Apes films. The quality on the blu rays looks fantastic. Conquest of the Planet of the Apes comes with the unrated version. Each film has a quick introduction from the LawGiver. There are special features, but I haven't watched them yet. Love this purchase and highly recommend! Go Ape!!!

This entire set cost me only 14.99. The original 1968 film is worth that by itself! While the other films range in quality from exciting (Conquest, with the superior original cut included on this release) to awful (Beneath), to have the whole series in one compact box at this price point is impossible to not recommend to fans of the original or of classic science fiction.

This is a great collection of the original 5 Planet of the Apes movies. Also gives you a glimpse into what inspired the Planet of the Apes movie starring Mark Wahlberg and more importantly the current new franchise of Planet of the Apes with Rise of the Planet of the Apes and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. Either way its a great collection to watch and show to your kids.

I had seen these as bits and pieces as a kid on TV, and never really knew the full story. So with the new movies that came out, I really wanted to see all of originals. On Blu Ray, the picture quality is as great as it can be for movies this old, and the sound is more than adequate. At this price, every sci-fi buff can now afford to have this superb set in their movie collection!

I've been a big fan of the Planet of the Apes franchise since I was a kid. To see it finally released on Blu-ray was great and the fact that the price is beyond reasonable. The quality and sound are what one would expect from Blu-ray material. If you're a fan of the series you won't be disappointed with the purchase of this set.

My wife has listened to me reference this series countless times since we met and she has never watched the movies. I researched the different packages from the different outlets and found the best buy package fit our needs perfectly. We watched all five movies over the course of two weekends. She isn't into sci-fi like I am, but she really enjoyed the movies. The packaging is basic with a single case with 5 disc slots. I like the basic design, the low price, and the quality of the blue ray dvds.

I have always loved the original APES series, i have many fond memories of watching ALL 5 films back to back at the drive in 1 night with my mom. AWESOME! so finding the entire set on blu ray with bonus material cheaper than the dvd version - jack pot! This is going to be an excellent gift for mom for christmas!

This is an excellent collection of the original series of The Planet of The Apes movie franchise! Charlton Heston makes this series a must with lines like "Its a madhouse, a madhouse!" and "You maniacs you blew it up!" The only thing that would have made this better is if it came with the 4K Ultra version too!

Its a great bargain for $20 to get all five original Planet of the Apes movies on blu ray. Its not only cheap but its in a slimmer dvd case which takes up less room in the cabinet. Also including an offer for a discounted ticket towards Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes! An offer you cant beat if your a fan of these films and want to upgrade!

This set is essential for any fan but due to its more than reasonable pricing, this set is perfect for the unitiated as well. If you've never seen them all, this is the best way to view them. The transfers and sound are above average for most of the discs, with the exception of Battle for the Planet of the Apes, where it's unfortunately disappointing at times. The high here is obviously the first, classic film, and the picture, sound and extras for it absolutely deliver the goods and then some. Highly recommended.

This is the first time I've had the opportunity to watch the series as a whole. The later films had some weak moments, but they were interesting to view again now that I am older and able to grasp the underlying social commentary. I would recommend this set to anyone that has an interest in the new series of films to see how it all started. My suspicion is that the current films will be re-telling the story chronologically, and won't be linked to this set of films as prequels as I first presumed.

First two movies are excellent, other 3 are fair. Now I am 47 and remember that I saw only the first 3 as a kid, now I understand the whole story better. I also remember that they made a TV series from the fifth movie, also remember my parents bought me the action figures from them. I got good memories. Have to remember that these movies were made decades ago and visual effects were not as good as today. I watch them with my 12 year old son, I was surprised that he got interest in the whole cycle.

Being a Planet of the Apes (POA), fan, this was an easy purchase choice. The reproduction in Blu Ray is pretty seamless and the cost for the first 5 POA movies in a pack was a steal! I thoroughly recommend this pack to all avid fans and newbies. You won't be disappointed!

Great collection with new extras and movie cash for the new movie which I used! The extras were very cool! The video transfer and sound was excellent as well! Brought back memories when I was a kid watching these! My only negative was I couldn't get it to be full screen on my 1080P HDTV but could be since older movies!

I grew up with these movies on television, and bought this collection on a whim. I sat down to watch the first one. Within three days I'd watched ALL the movies! Three of the Five really tell an incredible story. Well acted, well crafted. Fun and not a little shocking at times!
