I have to admit that I was not blown away with the first two movies, but it definitely improved, especially with the last two films (including the one currently in movie theaters.) Great set to have and great price to have it at!

Absolutely love the Blu-ray transfers of my favorite movies growing up. Each movie has some great behind the scenes documentaries. A must have for Planet of the Apes fans.

And the intro is part of the "Blu-ray" experience. It's alright, but the CGi really makes it weird. Overall all that was said on Blu-ray.com is true. Fox did an amazing job on transferring the movies. Really nice.

I love these old movies coming to blu ray HD to add to my collection. It is great to see these old films prior to watching the new series Rise of & Dawn of the Planet of the Apes which is one of the best movies period and terrific in 3D .

I grew up with these movies, the first time the apes are on screan I was freakeThe make up was cutting edge for 1968 and was so cool to boot. If you like the new Ape movies do yourself a favor and check them out.

Couldn't believe when I saw this at my local store for $20, what a bargain!!! Blu Rays of all the original movies and with the current series well underway good to catch up on these. Obviously the effects are not as good as nowadays but the ape make up is pretty impressive for the time. Nicely packaged and a great addition to my collection

Great box set only complaint I have is that it doesn't include the Tim Burton one so I'd have to find that one to own all the apes films but besides that it has great picture and audio along with special features

What can I say about PLanet of the apes and its sequels that hasn't already been said. The Blu Ray quality was great and made these films look like new to me again. And for around $4 a movie, you can't go wrong.

I picked up this 5-film complete collection for a steal when it was on sale. This is the stripped down package in terms of bulk and size but all of the movies and all of the same extras are included as in the larger set. Fantastic purchase.

Few remember, especially since the movie series declined in quality, that this was the real, first multi-series sci-fi that we are so use to now. A modern classic, with interesting questions in the first few films.

I love planet of the apes this is something you should add the your planet of the apes collection or your just getting into these movies I love all 5 movies even battle for the planet of the apes haha but yeah great quality nice box

Loved these movies growing up. I loved to watch all the special features talking about the production etc. I love the movies and it was great to see where the mythology started and the history behind it all. Perfect for a marathon.

Okay, who did not watch those 4:30 movies every day and feel like the Planet of the Apes was on all the time. Then nothing, and you missed it from your life. Relive those days and enjoy some of the cheesiest, best movies ever made.

These films are amazing and the blu-ray editions of them are as well. It comes in space saving, sleek packaging, and pretty decent artwork throughout the case. I highly recommend picking one up, you can't beat the price.

The blue ray release appears to have more features including unrated and theatrical versions of conquest of the planet of the apes as well as extended and theatrical versions of battle for the planet of the apes

The original collection Planet Of The Apes is just awesome. The blu-ray quality is excellent and it is just exciting to see the video and special effects used in the late 60' s and 70's. Must have for any blu-ray collection.

I have waited since my childhood to "own" these movies. I feel a deep connection with my childhood and the birth of my love with science fiction! I feel like this set is something worth passing down to the next generation.

This is a nicely made collection of the five original movies. The first movie is a classic, and rightly so. The second movie is a pretty good sequel. The final three movies, however, just stink. The plots are weak, production values are low, and they just look cheaply made. I only recommend getting this collection on sale, for the first two movies.

This box set is great. The HD presentation is fantastic, and the special features are great. I am particularly fond of the the Behind the Planet of the Apes documentary. The price was a steal for the quality in this box.

If you are a fan of the classic Heston/MacDowell Apes movies this is the set for you if you don't own them in on BD yet comes in a small compact collection for those worried about space and no burton film in sight
