I really liked these wireless headphones. I only hoped they lasted longer. I purchased them in Nov. 2017 during the Black Friday sales and they only lasted until mid Jan. 2018 before the left ear piece died out. The only way I could get them to work was if I bent the wire a certain way. Luckily I purchased the 2-yr replacement plan so I was able to switch them out with ease.

The setup for the headphones was simple enough. I had to just hold a square button and the bluetooth turned on. My phone recognized it in about 2 seconds and it is named something recognizable instead of model numbers that are hard to identify. The key feature of these headphones is that they are meant for active users and are sweat resistant. Also, an subtle but very useful clip is attached to the middle of the cord that connects both ear buds. This clip is meant for you to clip is to your shirt in case you forget that you have them hanging around your neck and don’t feel them slip off. The clip prevents them from falling to the floor or getting lost. In my case, I had forgotten they were on my neck and went to bed with them. The earbuds stayed on my shirt all night thanks to the clip and didn’t get lost. The performance of these headphones is superb. One of the biggest problems I encounter with bluetooth headsets is that they may occasionally have a delayed audio when listening to streamed shows or when using them while playing video games. These don’t have that delayed audio problem. They sound great with streamed shows, music, or mobile games. On the music side of things, I could hear deep bass sounds without any distortion. The same can be said when using them to answer a phone call. On my end, I can hear people clearly and on their end, they had no idea I was speaking with them via a pair of bluetooth headsets. The headphones meet my expectations. The initial gel buds that it came with were a little too thick for my ears. However, additional gel buds were provided and I was able to switch over to some smaller ones. I did find it occasionally uncomfortable trying to put on the earphones, as they are in-ear headphones. I had to push so that it would stay in my ear without falling off but doing that caused a vacuum of air to push into my ear as well and caused slight discomfort. Other similar pair of headphones that I own do not have that discomfort when putting them on. For that reason, I deduct one star. The price of the headphones in terms of value is competitive compared to other brands in the market. I highly recommend this product for people who have an active lifestyle and enjoy listening to their audio collection while on the run...literally.

The Plantronics - Backbeat FIT headphones work great for me. They are easy to setup with my phone and they deliver amazing sound quality. I use them for working out most of the time and they fit in my ears very comfortably. I can wear them for extended periods of time without any discomfort. The microphone works great. No ambient noise from the background when I'm talking. People can hear me clearly. The position of the microphone is great for picking up my voice clearly. The battery life is great as well. A full charge lasts several hours of continuous use. I would recommend for anyone looking for a great pair of versatile headphones.

Purchased headphones based on previous product from same manufacturer....inexpensive but hardy workout earphones. These were a disappointment. More expensive but not as comfortable or robust and eventually stopped working within a couple of weeks of purchase. Thankfully, I was able to exchange in-store.

These in-ear phones sound spectacular and stay in during activity. That seems to be a mechanical feat few competitors can match. The sound is very detailed with plenty of bass, thanks to the secure fit. My only complaint is with the microphone. I was not able to answer phone calls without some echo. But phones like these would be wasted for carrying on conversations. They are for listening to the music and do a spectacular job at that task. Well done!

I wanted a pair of bluetooth headphones for when I jog. I am don't sweat a lot, but did want something sweat resistant, with a neck cord, and good sound (decent base, not all treble). The Plantronics Backbeat FIT 305 fit the bill. Sound is awesome for a pair of sports headphones, which often compromise on audio for "sports" features. The earbud piece has a smart design so it stays in your ear. tt's hard to describe, but better than those that you need to kind of hook into your ear canal. The nylon/fabric wrapped cord makes them much durable and hard wearing than typical earbuds. A surprising add-on feature is you download their app, there's a find my earbud feature. I wouldn't try it in your ear (you might go deaf) but if you're like me and end up losing headphones in the bottom of your bag, it's a nice add on feature that they don't advertise or promote. Recommended.

    Best Bluetooth Sound Quality Yet

These are the first Bluetooth earbuds that I can honestly say I enjoy listening to. The sound is clear and crisp, it's got very good bass too. When I received mine, it came with a full charge, and paired with the my Samsung phone in a matter of seconds. It was a comfortable fit for me out of the box. I was happy that it had a voice that tells you things like battery status, pairing, and that it's powering on/off; with some other Bluetooth headphones it's a guessing game as to the battery level if they don't tell you. I've been carrying wired earbuds on me because I was convinced Bluetooth could never get the same quality, but I think these earbuds may have convinced me otherwise.

    Comfortable fit, annoying cord sounds

I have several pair of bluetooth in-ear headphones, so I think I have a pretty decent comparison base. These headphones were super easy to pair, have great bluetooth range but the front facing wire harness that connects the headphones really bugs me. First, the fabric wrapped cord transmits and movement noise to the headphones. This happens on many headphones. I've notice the fabric wrap seems to make more noise than headphones with a rubber-type wrapping. Second, I would rather have the cord hang behind my head on my neck, versus on front (bouncing up and down on my chest when I'm running). Perhaps that's a personal preference. This headset was designed to hang in front to have better access to the control piece, which hangs about 4 inches below your right ear. That too seems like it could have been either placed in the middle of the cord - which could also be annoying on your chest - or just built the control into the earpiece. Sound quality is good though, fit and fit options are great and I had no problem wearing these for several hours at my desk or on a run/walk. If you are considering the headphones, I'd recommend that you try these headphones out. A couple of my gripes are personal preferences, so perhaps they won't bother you!

Thank you for taking the time to review the BackBeat FIT 305, however we are sorry to hear you're experiencing trouble with your earbuds.

The rubbing noise is a ‘stethoscope’ effect of any occluding earbud‐style headphone (fabric or rubber). This effect is slightly louder with a fabric cable rather than a TPE cable. As an active headphone, the fabric cable was intentionally selected despite this challenge because it has less friction rubbing on moist skin in motion (than a typical TPE cable has). Fabrics can also gather debris.

Blown away by the sound quality!

First off, I consider myself a bit of a headphone snob. I own several sets of headphones; I own in-ear, around the ear, and over the ear phones. I have a small fortune invested in finding the set of headphones that will make me stop searching for the 'perfect' set of phones. And trust me when I tell you, more expensive does not translate to better sound quality. When I received the Plantronics Backbeat FIT 305 headphones, I didn't expect much because I'm not particularly a fan of in-ear headphones. I'm a big guy with a big head who has small ear canals, and most in-ear headphones tend to bother me after a while. I honestly wasn't crazy about the sound quality of these headphones out of the box, until I changed the enclosed eartips to the smaller size, then...WOW! I listen primarily to jazz, and any set of headphones worthy of being manufactured should be able to handle those high and mid-range tones without a problem. Also, some headphones do fairly well with low tones and aren't great at reproducing highs. The Backbeat headphones blew me away with their ability to handle the deep bass response as well as mid-range and high tones. I put them through their paces, folks; I listened extensively to jazz, classical, rock and R&B, and I was very impressed with the Backbeat's ability to handle everything I threw at it. I constantly changed the EQ settings on my MP3 device to see what these phones could manage, and they performed well on every EQ setting. But the real litmus test came when I asked my son for some of his hip-hop and rap music (you guys owe me HUGE!). The Backbeat FIT 305 came though like the Wu (my son told me to use that line. I have no idea what it means...). The Backbeat handled the bass response beautifully! The Plantronics Backbeat FIT 305 is a fantastic product that I highly recommend. They are comfortable to wear for extended periods, and the sound quality is very impressive. I honestly had pedestrian expectations about this product, and was pleasantly surprised. I couldn't find anything about them that I didn't like. They paired effortlessly; I was up and running in seconds. These headphones are my new go to headphones.

These Plantronic inner-ear buds are very flexible with many interchangeable buds that make inner ear fit easy and comfortable. They synced and paired easily with any of my blue tooth devices without issue and have a decent range from your device of over 10 feet or more if you desire this...did not really test further. The sound is both sufficiently loud and clear to drown out background noise. They resist sweat without any issues. A perfect wireless headphone for all workouts or in outdoor rain/snow environments.

These earbuds are surprisingly good in all aspects. They come with the standard amount of 3 interchangeable ear tips that appear a little awkward in shape but actually work. The square wing tips seemed unconventional but are comfortable when seated correct. The ear bud tips are very soft and block out about 90 to 95 percent of ambient noise so you can get that deep sound from all your music. The volume doesn't get very high, I turned up to max volume and I could comfortably listen to my music. The cord is made of that nylon type material that is used on the new age charger cords. It seems pretty durable but not sure how long it will last. The only gripe I have is the huge control module for the power/sync button and volume control. It seems a bit big for the earbuds and is made of a cheap feeling plastic but it does not add any weight to the already very light earbuds. I can comfortably wear these buds for an extended period time without feeling pain in my ears or being annoyed with the cord. Overall this is a great purchase worthy set of earbuds.

I am really enjoying these earphones. They're light, fit well, don't fall out, and have acceptable sound (not great sound, but clear enough). These are now my go to earphones. If I have one actual complaint, it's that I don't like the look of the casing for the controls. That's a minor complaint, though, as the controls work fine and a better looking casing would cost more.

These headphones are very light and fit in my ear very well. The sound quality is at par with other head phones in this price range. I like the pouch that came with them. I also use them to make wireless calls and they work great. I have never had connection issues. There multi-function button can also be used to invoke google assistant which comes in handy (at least for me). Now, the bad part :). I can hear the sound of these rubbing against my shirt when I am walking. So, I assume they won't be very quiet if I wore them while running (haven't used them for that purpose so don't know for sure). Also, the microphone/inline remote is too bulky and kind of dangles which again I think will be a problem if I wanted to use them while running. Overall, these are good budget headphones with good sound and decent battery life. But I think you can get better head phones in the same price range if you are mainly looking for wireless headphones for your active lifestyle.
