So-So

I really like that its a solid connection between earpieces and not some dangling wire. The volume is good when listening to music. I really wish the earpieces were the gummy type that you stick into your ear-canal. The loop around your ear is good, a little big for me but still passable.
Now my biggest gripe about the product is the volume when making phone calls. For some reason it is very low, so unless you are in a dead quiet area, you will not be able to hear. Definitely cannot use to make phone calls with. I have no idea why this would be and why it would be any different than when listening to music.

Thank you for your honest review on our BackBeat FIT, we are sorry to hear you are experiencing trouble with your unit.
In order to troubleshoot connectivity or audio issues you might want to try resetting the Bluetooth connection between your phone and headset to see if that helps the issue. To do so:
1. Delete the headset from your cell phone's list of paired devices. 2. Once deleted, power your phone completely off, then power it back on. This resets the Bluetooth stack in the Bluetooth software on the phone. 3. Re-pair the headset with your phone. If this does not fix your issue, we suggest pairing the headset to another cell phone as a test.
If the issue is not present on the second phone, then the problem may be with the first phone, rather than the headset. If the issue exists on the second phone as well, you will need to replace the headset. Please don't hesitate to contact our customer care group at www.plantronics.com/support if you require assistance.

Paper work is awful

I purchased the wireless headphones and when I open them I looked for the instructions on how to use them. To my surprise there were no instructions other than two pictures that showed where to find the place to charge the phones. These are the first wireless headphones I have ever purchased and I had no idea how to turn them on, volume control, how to take a phone call and most important how to pair to my I Phone. I went to my I phone and went to Bluetooth and it said devices and had a circle that was working trying to find something but it didn't since I had no idea how to turn the headphone on.
Do you assume that everyone who purchases these phones know how to pair them and how they work. There was at least five pieces of paper with instructions in about 20 languages but not one on how to use these things. I boxed it up was going to return it the next day until my daughter and son-in-law came by and I asked them if they could get it to work. They found a YouTube video and showed how to set it up and how to use the features of the phones.
When I purchase anything, I expect instructions on how to use the thing. I can't believe that you would sell something with no instructions about how to use the thing.
They are now working fine but you get one star since there is no way I could have ever gotten them to work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a hard time hearing from multiple years in the military and being around a lot of gunfire and explosions overseas. I would think there would be a way for the volume to be higher. They work for me but if I am in a crowded gym or something to that affect they aren't loud enough.

Disappointing

I didn't even have them for half a year and they stopped working due to sweat which was incredibly disappointing. They also didn't seem to get loud enough, I would find myself trying to increase the volume time and time again only to have the headphones tell me the volume was at the maximum level. The headphones also did not stay in place as well as I thought or hoped they would. It is very distracting to deal with slipping headphones while jumping rope. At least when I would run my hands were free to constantly readjust them and push them back into my ears.

More Garbage From Best Buy

Purchased these from Best Buy under 2 weeks ago.
- Poor Sound Quality
- Low volume overall
- Left ear considerably quieter than the right
- Right ear has stopped working altogether.
- Bluetooth connection constantly disconnects.
This is the 3rd pair of Bluetooth headphones I've purchased from Best Buy in the last 2 months - all different brands and models. All of them have been defective or failed almost immediately. I am coming to the conclusion that Best Buy has become a clearing house for defective electronics.

Hi! Thank you for your honest review. We are sorry to hear you had a bad experience with multiple products. If your BackBeat FIT has audio and connectivity issues you may try to verify if the headset doesn't have any updates available through the "BackBeat FIT Companion" app. You can search the application on your App Store or Play Store. Once downloaded make sure the headset is paired and connected to your mobile phone so you can check for updates. You may also want to try a simple reset on your headset. To do so, with the charging cable plugged into a power source, press and hold down the power button while plugging it into the charger. Then release the power button and unplug the charging cable afterward. If you are still experiencing the same issue please don't hesitate to contact our Customer Care Team at https://www.plantronics.com/us/en/support/contact

I bought these headphones so I could do laps while listening to peaceful music. Soo I bought the new Apple watch series 3 and synced it with my new BackBeat FIT headphones and the connection sucked. I would lose the music when ever my headphones or my watch were more than a inch under water. I'm going to try the waterproof Apple shuffle. The FIT is good for outdoor training on rainy days.

Hi Arthur! Thank you for your honest review. Please note the Backbeat Fit has an IP57 waterproof rating as a layer of protection against sweat, rain or splashes but it is not intended for constant submersion or underwater use. Bluetooth technology does not transmit underwater. Waterproof in fresh water up to one meter (3.28 feet) for 30 minutes, but it is important to consider that Bluetooth technology does not transmit underwater. Used these maybe 2-3 times a week for hiking or just casual listening. Stopped charging and won't turn on. This is a problem for many. I have tried the various suggestions, but I believe it's a problem with the charging plug. Other than that, they worked ok for a while. Awkward controls.
