Not what I had hoped for

First off, I got these on sale for $100. I've recently dived into the ANC headphones market, and read some good things about these earbuds. Reviews on this site are pretty favorable. These earbuds have some nice features. However, ANC isn't one of them. Not for me. I'm not sure what is going on with mine, but there is zero difference between ANC off and ANC on. I can still hear everything just as loudly and clearly as I do with the ANC off. I'm using the gel tips that provide the best fit (and they're still uncomfortable in my ears) as well. The sound quality is nice. Nice and rich for earbuds at this price. And I like the smart magnet. But the ANC ... meh. I hate returning things, however, and fighting myself on this one.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback on our BackBeat GO 410 Headphones. We're sorry to hear about your experience. As you know, you can enable/disable ANC on the device itself, but you could try increasing its intensity through the "Backbeat" app https://goo.gl/9Q3tsB. Please note that the Active Noise Cancelling feature uses additional microphones on the back of each speaker that respond well to low-frequency (80 to 700 Hz) background noise. These microphones pick up the background noise, feed it into the ANC circuitry, invert it, then direct it into the same audio path. This happens very quickly, <500 milliseconds, which is not perceptible to the user. This technology will mainly filter out low frequency, constant noises such as fans, AC units or engines but it won't completely block all sounds. In any case we do thank you for bringing this to our attention. We will forward your comments to our Product Development team as we appreciate feedback based on customer use to create the best possible products. Our Customer Care Team is available at https://www.plantronics.com/us/en/support/contact if you have any questions! plantronics

It’s hard to find good in-ear noise canceling headphones, but that is what we have here. When engaged the noise canceling works better than in other headphones I have tried plus the different size earpieces means it’s a comfortable fit. Recommended.

Seems to work very well, I really enjoy the ability for it to connect to two different Bluetooth services at the same time. The only real complaint I have, is that if the system is in my ears and idol, it seems to take a moment to play audio when I connect to something to use it get a phone call or listening to program.

Needed assistance to set up since instructions were not that user friendly. Geek Squad assisted and was able to connect to my new phone and demonstrated how to use it. Really like the quality of the sound and use daily when exercising.

Nice earbuds. Decent sound and not too bulky hanging around the neck. I know this is dumb, but my favorite feature is the magnetic buds that stick together when your not using them. Kinda a good way not to let them slip off your neck.

Purchased these to use at the gym. Have a set of Jabra, completely wireless, but they tended to fall out on occasion. The surprise I prefer the sound of the Plantronics to the Jabra. They connect with no trouble, and connect to two devices simultaneously. Very pleased.

For this price point it doesn't get any better than these. Great quality built, solid app to allow you to customize your buds. Sound is very clear and very loud if you need them to be. The ANC function has 3 modes and is very effective at eliminating the background noises.

Needed something to use on the construction site around generators, compressors, while cutting, drilling, etc. Works great at cutting out the noise around you and allowing you to hear your music or a phone call. Microphone works well and others can hear you clearly.

Very good sound quality on both calls and music. Connects to both my phone and computer and seamlessly switches from computer music to call back to music and then computer con call. Excellent for both work and play.

I needed a blue tooth listening device. One that would stay in my ears with a cord so it doesn’t fall in movement. The staff was great. Pointed this one out immediately and now I’m one on one with my audio books.

I've owned this product for almost a year. At first I thought they were amazing. I especially liked the ability to use wireless or wired. That feature alone made it worth me buying since I travel so much and and I wasn't always able to quickly charge the headset. They also have great sound. Unfortunately after about four months the issues slowly start to happen. Random volume increase and decreases, random skips, not being able to turn off and now the audio just drops. Thankfully I bought geek squad for this and I will definitely be using it. I hope other users have had a better experience but these issues in such a short period of owning them are what is causing me to give it a 2 star rating.

Hello! Thank you for your review on our Backbeat GO 410 headset however, we are sorry to hear about your experience. If the headset will automatically skip music or the volume increases/decreases, it could mean an issue with its firmware. You may want to try to reset the headset through the Backbeat mobile app and check if it doesn't have any updates available. You may also want to try resetting the Bluetooth connection with your mobile. 1) Unpair the headset from your mobile phone by accessing your Bluetooth settings. 2) Power off your mobile phone for 2 minutes and turn it back on. 3) Re-pair the headset. With the headset powered off, press and hold down the center button for at least 10 seconds until you hear pairing and the LED starts flashing red and blue. 4) Access to your Bluetooth settings and select "PLT_BBGO 410". Once successfully paired, you will hear "pairing successful" and the LED on your headset will stop flashing red and blue. If for some reason the issue remains, then it means the headset has an actual problem and it will be best to replace it. Remember this unit counts with a limited warranty since the first day of purchase and you can request a replacement directly through our official website. Please note the life span of the product depends on the usage but on many cases they last for way past their warranty period. Please don't hesitate to contact our Customer Care Team at 800-985-9815 if you require assistance. plantronics

I haven’t needed to use these headphones as much as I expected but for as much as I’ve used them they’ve been fine. Cheaper than the Apple option. I’d buy them again if I needed a second set.

They're ok. Nothing special and if they weren't on sale or if I used more than occasionally I don't think I would have bought. They are NOT noise canceling. I used and will continue to use only when I fly. I could still hear the kid several rows back lol.
