Customers are saying

Customers regard the BackBeat PRO Wireless Over-the-Ear Headphones favorably, particularly praising the excellent sound quality, impressive battery life, and comfortable fit. However, some customers noted that the headphones are large and heavy, which may be uncomfortable for extended use. A few also mentioned that the bass response could be improved. Overall, the positive feedback on sound, battery, and comfort outweighs the concerns about size and weight.

I use this for my Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and my Kindle Fire HDX, wanted something for music and audible books, and let me say that these sound wonderful. I had also ordered some beats studio's (wired)and they sound about the same, returned the beats. The music sounds great.Okay ,I got this on price match for one forty nine, I had my eyes on these but was waiting on a good deal. 1.very easy to connect to bluetooth, 2. They have NFC pairing, 3. They can connect to multiple bluetooth devices unlike some others that only allow 1 0r 2, these can go with much more.3. Great price and sound.4. They have this built in microphone, with a click of a button it lowers your music and amplifies the outside voices or noises and puts the sound through your headset so you don't have to take off your headset to hear what people are saying. 5. It paused your music when you take off your headset and automatically plays your music again once you put them on.6. Has a 1 year manufacturer warranty 7. Has active noise cancellation, now it may not be the best active noise cancellation bout it's good. 8. If you want to take off your headset the ear cups rotate so you can lay them flat against your neck. 9. They are so comfortable, I see some people saying that they are heavy? Well, not for me, they feel lightweight and I'm a female that is 5'2. 10. The battery life on these things are ridiculously long lasting. I used them daily for a week and they just barely needed a charge. Well just get a Pair! There are so many good things that I'm sure I'm leaving more stuff out.

This NC headset is comfortable wearing over my glasses and provides a noticeable reduction in office area "white" noise. Prompts are welcomed on battery level and active connections. Good battery life is a plus too. This pair were not the "top of the list" but perform better than I anticipated at this price point.

I commute in van pool and have alot of back ground noise; high way, alot of cross talking in the van, radio play, ect. So instead of using a standard headset I went the noise canceling. There about 80+% effective in keeping out the out side noise. In a airplane flying there about 90+% effective. I am very pleased with the technology involved in the head set, rechangable battery very long lasting, bluetooth is near flawless in connecting, can take phone calls and sounds reasonable recieving/transmitting, also enjoy the usage of the button to mute audio to listen to a conversation with out removing the head set. I like the comfortable ear peices and the simple volume control. The music I play seems very crisp and clean in full spectrum stereo. The best part of noise cancelling head set is that feature to hear with out having to turn up the volume to eleminate the outside noise levels. This is my 3rd generation head set from Plantronics and the first old generation head set still working like new, and thats about 7 years old. I shopped and compaired with other major brands and did not find all the features that Plantronics has to offer that this one has. Although I took the extended warrenty because of the Lithium-ion battery, some times that type of battery goes dead out of the blue from past experences. It was no brainer for me and I have a great head set!

I liked it a lot for the best features ever exist in a headphones available in the market but 2 major issues 1- was putting too much pressure on my head so i give it 1 out of 5 for comfortable 2- voice quality is not that crisp and pure sound so i give it 3 out of 5

    Real World Good

After spending over a month trying to find something suitable with Bluetooth, and some trial and error, I settled in on the Plantronics Backbeat Pro headphones, and being an audio/music reviewer, here is why. First let me set my position to help you understand why I say certain things. Bose head/earphones, great noise cancellation technology, middle of the pack when it comes to musicality, okay build. Anything by Beats. Really??? To each his own, yeah I know, but let's be serious for a moment. Overly elevated bass does not qualify anybody's music equipment offerings as being good unless you're a DJ working in a dance club. Folks there could care less about musicality as long as members can get their "swerve" on. Just my opinion. Remember, we're working with ear canals here, not a large clubs. Now to the Backbeat Pro headphones. First of all, you get a lot of technology for your money. You can read the reviews, and better yet, see YouTube videos that touch on all that the Backbeat Pro has to offer. All of the conveniences seem to work very well and make the listening experience that much more convenient. Fit and finish of the Backbeat Pro is also very good. I am a big man at over 6'4" and 280 lbs, with a very big head, I am told, and I have no problem fitting these headphones on my head comfortably and with no fatigue on my ears. I haven't tried to go 8 hours yet, but I have gone 4 hours plus listening to music and watching videos and was still comfortable. Whomever said they were too small for a grown man must have been trying to put them on a pumpkin, perhaps. j/k In terms of sonic performance, Plantronics is no different from the majority of headphone/earphone manufacturers in that they have to get full range (bass, mid-range and treble) musicality into such a small space using small drivers just so our brain can tell the rest of our body, "Wow, doesn't this experience sound and feel like the real thing". Most of these manufacturers have to cheat, even just a little bit, to elevate the bass and treble to give you an enjoyable, believable listening experience through headphones and earphones. Some manufacturers do a very good job of allowing you to enjoy the recorded event without having to overdo it when it comes to the highs and lows. Others don't do a very good job at all, but some of you will bob your heads if you get enough bass and say, "These headphones are the BOMB!!". Yeah, right. Plantronics is very balanced and coherent. Keeping in mind, that though some of you are listening to hi-fidelity files, a lot of you are listening to MP3 quality files, and there is no redeeming musical quality to be retrieved from them whatsoever. Well, maybe a little, but you can't always blame the headphones for sonic short-comings. Please forgive the audio snobbery. Everything being equal, the bass on the Plantronics is very good and achieves this without intruding, much, maybe a little, on the mid-range. Not enough intrusion on the mid-range to make you feel you're missing anything at all, unless you're listening critically to some chamber music by Bach or Schumann, and nothing close to what some other headphones do. The mid-range is open and clear, present sounding, the highs are extended and detailed without being etched. The Backbeat Pro does an excellent job with most genres of music, though I must confess, I didn't try any head-banging rock on these and can't comment on that. I would say that Plantronics has done a great job with the Backbeat Pro. When the salesperson at Best Buy recommended them, I rolled my eyes and had doubts she knew what she was talking about. I wound up with some $170 Sony's with bass-boost that crashed on me, sonically, 3 weeks after I purchased them and couldn't return them. Yeah, I know; should have purchased the extended warranty. I went back to Best Buy, ate some humble pie, and decided to give the Backbeat Pro a try and was very pleasantly surprised. I didn't think Plantronics had anything like this inside of them to build. I have been enjoying them ever since.
