So I purchased these specifically for the new PS4 VR system. They match the VR headset and allow for ambient noise to enter. Out of the many reviews and recommendations, these were always mentioned and praised so I gave it a shot. First off, they really do have some fantastic sound. The mic sensitivity and quality is very good. It does a decent job of minimizing ambient noise too. So those are the two main things that should concern you about audio. Obviously, comfort is high up on the list of things to consider too. I really like how quickly you can change the fitting of the headset so it feels comfortable and secure. Thankfully, my boy and I share the same head size genetics so I don't need to constantly change the size. But if I needed to, it would only take a few seconds to do.
-1 Star: Here is my issue with these...there are no dials or adjustments that can be made on the headset or wire to adjust the volume. It has to be done through the controller options on the PS4. It simply is not convenient in my opinion. It would be much nicer to fine tune your desired volume levels using a dial or dimmer switch on the headset or on the cable.
Considering you advanced the VR and PS4 system are, I am really surprised that they do not have a better wireless functionality. Bottom line is there is definitely some issues with wireless and using the VR. I personally do not like having wires dangling between the controller and me but it is something you get used to considering you have wires dangling from the VR system. So specifically using these for VR, you have some ambient noise that comes in. This is meant to help with having a better feel for your surroundings. I am not certain I have noticed any difference to be completely honest. We have some incredible music studio quality headsets (better than any headset Best Buy sells) and the sound is off the charts BUT it is indeed a wired headset. The audio quality for wireless is simply is not on par with wired in some situations.
I have used these for non-VR games too and they do provide an enjoyable gaming experience by letting you hear things you would not typically hear just from your tv and basic sound system. They are a good option! I would not say they are your best VR option. Do not let that deter you though. For the price, they are absolutely worth it.

Bought this to play online gaming. Has great quality sound and is very comfortable. Downsides to it is there is no volume control on the headset itself. Also if you're using the PlayStation 4 controller as the audio output device the 90 degree angle on the 3.5 mm jack is awkward and has a tendency to get in the way. The microphone picks up EVERYTHING in the room when used, even when the PS4 controls in the settings menu is adjusted, and sometimes when the mic is stowed (supposed to be the mute position).

Tailored Fit!

I tried these headphones at E3 and I was blown away by how comfortable and tailored fit they were to the Playstation VR. I thought about just using my Beats but as you can see from the photos of the VR , many "generic" headphones come in contact with the headband that lies above the ear. These allow enough clearance and the cables are filtered through the backside so your arms in motion don't yank of the device unintentionally. These cans do a great job enhancing the 3D audio coming in as well. Pick these up if you are looking for a PSVR headset.

Simple set up. No batteries required. No issues regarding sound quality. It does not have a noise cancellation feature which is not deemed as an absolute necessity unless you are using it in an extremely noisy environment. It's greatest strength is comfortability. It is a perfect fit for PSVR users.

Light weight, good sound, affordable price. I love the multiple cables it comes with, especially the short one that is perfect for the PSVR. Also if you aren't using the boom mic it folds up very flush and unobtrusive.

I bought this on recommendation from someone in the store, and I tried this along with the Sony brand gold wireless set. The sound quality is great, but it's not wireless and is missing volume/balance controls that the Sony set had. I returned this one and kept the Sony set. For the price of this one, it should have controls built in so that you don't have to use the PS4 system settings to change the volume. It's a pain.

I bought these headphones for the PSVR Rig and I couldn't be more pleased. They come with a really short cable (and a longer one). The short one is great because it is all you need with the PSVR. There are already enough wires in the setup so the lack of another longer wire makes it great. They sound great also. Finally, and probably most importantly, they match the VR rig perfectly. They look like they go with it. I am surprised Sony didn't do this. If you have or are getting the PSVR, I highly recommend this product. The PSVR rig only comes with some earbuds and honestly I didn't try them but I doubt they would measure up. Also, having to put earbuds in would be just another annoyance to putting on the rig.

Picked these up for the PSVR and ended up using them for all my gaming. I have worn them for 5 hours straight for Titan Fall 2 matches online with co-workers and not once did I feel any discomfort or even really notice them on. The sound is Great, from COD battles to soft footsteps in the shadows, they do a great job at picking up noises and relaying them perfectly. Friends said the mic comes out clean and clear, and I'v always liked the flip up out of way design that these use. I own and use many brands, I.E Astro, PDP,Skull Candy slyr ect ect and these have become my go to. Only complaint is the cord is a bit thin, would have liked to see something thicker and sturdier. Aside from that, love these.

This headset works great for gaming. The sounds are immersive and provide a robust experience. I tried this with 3d movies on PSVR and the sound was way to soft. I believe this to be an issue with the PSVR and not the headset as the sounds are great for gaming. Overall a thumbs up....

At night when my finance sleeps, I get to play games addictively. Since she sleeps, I use these headphones, plugged into my controller to get the full effect of gaming while respecting her sleepy time. I love the sound that comes through these headphones but my one grip is that even when the game volume and ps4 volume turned all the way up I still wish these headphones could be just a little bit louder.

I had turtle beaches that were top notch but the earphones were very quiet I bought these and the sound is crisp. Love how to mute the mic by flipping it up and you can also take it off.

Great sound and perfect fit for the PlayStation VR setup. My only issue with them were the smaller ear cups... I guess my ears are big. I'm used to the larger-than-needed ear cups on the Astro A50 setup, but I couldn't use those with the VR headset (thanks for that Sony).
