Unfortunately, then sound would cut out at random, and the software would randomly reappear and then it would work again. After multiple attempts at a solution Plantronics has agreed to warranty this unit. I went past my return window for BestBuy, so I had to go through the manufacturer. I have a Win 10 64bit system.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I own both the 515 and 505 headsets so I can tell you everything you need to know. First of all, both headphones are using identical 40mm drivers. The 505 has a long 3.5mm cable and comes with a short pass through headphone/mic splitter in the box while the 515 has a short 3.5mm cable and comes with a long 7.1 dolby enabled (usb) adapter. 505: - Analog headphone/mic inputs (stereo) - Fabric earcups - Open ear 515: - USB input (stereo or 7.1 software) - Leather earcups - Closed earcups I think the 505 feels better and is more comfortable on the head. The material of the earcups is breathable unlike the 515 which can get warm. As for the 7.1 in the 515, it's simply software based Dolby surround using the USB adapter, nothing extraordinary and not something I use anyway (you can actually take the 505 and plug it into the USB adapter that comes with the 515 to create the same 7.1 effect) Both 505 and 515 are good headsets and sound fantastic (using stereo w/ eq settings) depending on your preference of features you will like one better than the other.
