    5220, “sounds” appealing . . .

I have been a fan of Plantronics products since 2008. I started with the Pro, moved on to the Legend, and once the 5220 came out, I just knew I had to have it. The Plantronics Bluetooth headset quality just keeps improving from generation to generation. If you are looking for a product with superior sound quality, amazing background noise cancellation, comfort via all day wear, long lasting battery life, easy to access micro USB charging port and just a stylish design then this headset is for you. If all of the prior mentioned “sounds” appealing, then the 5220 is a definite must buy.

The Plantronics Voyager 5220! This thing is amazing! I have seen several people using and asked their input on the device. They LOVE it. Comfort: I'm a real estate agent and I can wear this several hours with no discomfort at all. At times I forget its there. Capability: This device does it all! I can listen to books in a not too noisy environment. I can answer calls just by saying answer. This works for ignoring them as well. Battery: Practically an all day battery. I do own the carrying case/charger but its rarely used. This is one of my longest lasting units when it comes to having things that use rechargeable batteries. Overall, I Love it. I have used others in the past and just dealt with the shortcomings, with this, it's hard to find things I don't like!

First off, initial set up was super easy and fast. The only thing I would change about that is to include the blue tooth dongle for computer set up. The reception isn't good enough for a quality sound. Also the switching from phone to computer is relatively easy, however I found on my new Dell laptop I had to manually switch the audio and microphone preferences once in a while. My only major complaint is that there were no options to buy the ear piece with the foam covers to help keep the ear piece in place. Also it does not come with the charging case, which is a must have for people who travel. All in all though I would recommend getting a cheaper Bluetooth set that works just as well if not better like the Skullcandy Ink buds that I use more than this ear piece.

I needed to replace an old wireless headset that had a mute button that was no longer working properly. So I went to this model based on reviews. I use it for primarily business office calls. Overall it works ok. At times others have said my voice cuts out, but I haven't been able to isolate whether it is this unit or my Panasonic bluetooth desk phone causing. I am within 2 feet so distance should not be a problem. I only have used with my cell phone a couple of times, and haven't noticed the problem with that. I previously used an expensive Savi model with a different desk phone and definitely had better luck with it, but while it was wireless, it wasn't bluetooth from the phone itself.

Best bluetooth headset I have had yet - no surprise, Plantronics has been around for quite a while, so they've had time to get it right. Good noise reduction, exceptional call clarity. It IS a wee bit bulky, and with my tiny ears + glasses it's a bit of a pain to get used to how to put on, but IT WORKS so I don't care. Comments from callers: "It sounds like you are in the seat not the next state!" "I feel like you are standing right next to me!" "I need one of these for my job." "There is zero road noise!" I am able to hear callers exceptionally well also. Using with a Pixel2XL

I bought a lot of bluetooth headsets, and by far it is the best even it looks a bit larger then a regular headset and a bit pricey, it actually feels good on my ear. And I lost a lot of the small ones away in the past. Most importantly, you and others you're calling can tell no different if you're using a landline, and no lags or drops at all. Wonderful Bluetooth signal and noise cancelling engineering, really worth even pennies you spent on this headset. And I use it listening to my music on my iPhone during in the office, the battery does last long enough for my work hours. It get some uses to find a perfect position on your ear, and once you find it, you won't even feel it hanging there much. I also recommend to get the case charger too.

At first it’s a little scary because the device is big and looks heavy You then find out that is not the case in fact it is one of the most comfortable earpieces I’ve ever worn for eight or more hours a day. The sound quality is near perfect the battery life is amazing The overall day today function worked perfectly without a hitch does not ever drop signal with my phone which most others do Occasionally there is a beep that I’m not sure what it means yet. In the app for your phone is very helpful to fine-tune your device

I have had the Plantronics Legend for several years and it has finally started having issues with connectivity (works great for music but switches off and on during calls) so I treated myself to the plantronics voyager 5220 and am very happy with it! Connectivity is great and still has an amazing sound! Find this type much more comfortable than other styles. I tried the Bose soundsport, great sound but just couldn’t believe how large the ear buds were, tried the apple air pods, which I loved all the features and how simple the commands were with my iPhone but didn’t like the way they felt in my ear, so I returned them and went with my first style Bluetooth, the Plantronics. I love it and will stick with this style!!!

I needed a good quality BT headset that would connect to my work phone (iPhone) and my personal phone (android) simultaneously. I bought the Voyager 5220 because it was "Designed for iPhone" but compatible with android. I need the hands free capability mostly at work where I am constantly driving and receiving calls. I only gave it 3 stars because while the sound quality, battery life and comfort are all great, it constantly looses connection to my iPhone but not the android. For the price, and the fact that it was designed for iPhone, I expected a lot more. If you only need this device for one phone, you'll probably be happy with this one. So, I would recommend it, but not for use with two phones.

Thank you for your honest review on our Voyager 5200, we are sorry to hear you experienced trouble with your unit.

You might want to try resetting the Bluetooth connection between your phone and headset to see if that helps the issue. To do so:

      1. Delete the headset from your cell phone's list of paired devices.
      2. Once deleted, power your phone completely off, then power it back on. This resets the Bluetooth stack in the Bluetooth software on the phone.
      3. Re-pair the headset with your phone.

If this does not fix your issue, we suggest pairing the headset to another cell phone as a test. If the issue is not present on the second phone, then the problem may be with the first phone, rather than the headset. If the issue exists on the second phone as well, you will need to replace the headset.

I have owned many bluetooth headsets. My favorite was always a BOSE one. It finally broke after about 5 years, and they don't seem to make them anymore. After reading LOTS of reviews and talking to many people, I settled on this one. So far I love it! Although, I wouldn't have it without buying the carrying case. The case is the only protection the headset has., as it doesn't come with any case. The case also serves as a charger. I am on the phone for 5+ hours a day with work and this has stood up beautifully. Between calls, I can put it in the case and it is charged up when I go to use it the next time. Highly recommend! So far the information from people I have talked to on the phone is that they can't hear background noise, and it comes across very clear.

After a Year+ of use plastic broke but other then that it works great sound and voice quality exceptional in price range. Plantronics support is #1 in industry no question ask they are willing to send you a new product during a first year There is only one thing that this product has it's a glitch or a bug that shows % of charge been incorrect after few recharge spoke to Plantronics and they are still working on it for past year+

This is the third voyager headset that I've owned. I started with the Legend and moved to the Edge when I managed to break the boom on the Legend. The edge took a little getting used to, but after a year or so, it stopped connecting to my phone. So, I decided to go back to the over-the-ear style of the Legend. I saw that the 5220 had four mics for adjusting to environmental noise which is important for me as I work in a factory where it can be rather noisy, but I also spend a lot of time in an office at my other job. This headset works great in both situations where my previous headsets did not. I can also use this with both my cell phone AND my desk phone at the same time. Whichever one rings, I can pick it up with my headset. It's a handy feature.

I was very excited when I saw this, a direct replacement of the Voyager Legend model I used for several years, I was buying one Legend after the other, even knowing it was already an old model, but trustable. When I saw this new version I got excited, looks exactly like the previous one, so it had to be as good at least with the plus that this one has already the Micro USB connector, big mistake, this is a piece of junk, just impossible to maintain the connection, when it actually connects; there is no call where you have to manually re-connect at least once or twice... it is now sitting in my desk, I already bought again a Voyager Legend without Micro USB connector, but working great. Stay away from this "new" expensive worthless model....

That may be an issue with the headset or with the connection between the headset and phone.
      3. Re-pair the headset with your phone and test.

You might also want to ensure your headset's firmware is up to date through our Hub app for Android, iOS, MacOS and Windows and disable the wearing sensors if the headset doesn't disconnect but the call audio switches back to your phone automatically.

If the issue is the same we recommend testing the device with another phone to determine if it's on the phone or headset. If the issue persists even on a different phone we can replace that device, it comes with a 1 year warranty from the date of purchase. This headset has worked great for conference calls as well as voiceovers on videos. I'd buy this again and would recommend it to anyone needing this functionality. The controls are simple, the battery lasts a bit over 6 hours new and it's comfortable to wear with unlimited movement and adjustments. Clarity on the headset is good to listen to others and others say the sound quality is good on their end too. It would be nice if Best Buy carried the Plantronics rechargeable case/stand (recommended also) but it was available on Amazon.

First, the noise cancellation when talking to someone else is great. They can't hear most of the noise around you. That is a 5! The fit, don't care for that, it is bulky around the ear and when you wear glasses like I do it is a pain and tough to get used to. Probably a 3. A couple weeks ago I would have rated this a sold 4 and say go fo it. BUT, mine quit exactly 30 days after purchase. Used it for a few minutes one day, put it down and it would never turn on again. Tech support was usless, I thought they could walk me though a reset or something. Instead they sent me a brand new complete set, BUT I had to pay the shipping to send the old set back. So back to a 3 for the rating. If it had not been for the failure I'd say 4.

Worked perfectly for 4 months, then it didn't, had issues with callers telling me they cannot hear me; noisy background lots of static, item boasts and is sold on the idea that it has noise suppressing when suppressing background noise Quiet call, etc.tech support had me check firmware update turn off body sensing and it should take care of the problem, it didn't; now I have to send this one back and they'll send me another, I need to pay shipping, kind of a hassle I'm a bit disappointed I've had many platronics products before never a problem up until now. Would I refer this for someone else to buy at nearly $150;?? I don't know go figure !!!

I purchased the Voyager 5220 based on reviews stating how well it performed. These were magazine reviews so I should have dug deeper. Anyway, mine has been wonderful the few times it has worked. But that is not very often. It disconnects for no apparent reason. It does not always respond to voice commands. Recently, the charging cable and convertor get extremely hot while charging the battery so that I am constantly checking to be sure nothing catches fire. Now, the charging cable will not plug into the Voyager. The tab in the center of the receptacle has moved so the plug won't slide over it. Another over-hyped product.

This little guy did exactly what I expected it to do. I drive all day and need something to overcome the road/wind noise and still provide clear communication. I have asked many people on the receiving end about call quality when I KNOW there is background noise and they always say it's Crystal clear. I bought the battery accessory for it separately and it's awesome. Charges the headset several times and provides a strong travel case. Only gripe is that the rubber earpiece that goes into your ear is proprietary and cannot be swapped with any aftermarket silicon piece. Very impressed with this device after trying so many others that just couldn't make the cut. Very much recommended.

This has been the highest quality, most comfortable headset I've ever owned, and I've gone through quite a few. My previous favorite was the Jabra Supreme 2, and this Plantronics surpasses it in every category except one: longevity. I usually have to replace mine between 5-18 months after I get it, either due to it developing connection issues or just starting to fall apart. To be fair, I wear and use it between 5-10 hours every day of the week, but I usually got between 2-3 years out of my Supreme 2. Thankfully with Best Buy's replacement plans, I haven't had to outright buy a new one since my very first one. Thus I give 4 stars, but I'd make it five if you include the 2 year replacement plan

I was looking for a Bluetooth headset that I could use with my work phone and my personal phone due to the new hand's free law set to go in effect in Georgia on July 1, 2018. This works like a charm. I love that both phones connect easily. I love that there is far less background noise when using this compared to having the phone on my lap using speakerphone. In fact, I've driven 72 mph and people could not tell I was in the car. It's light and it is comfortable. I've worn it yesterday while driving approximately 200 miles in the car yesterday for work. A great purchase and a lifesaver because it keeps you from having to search for your phone.
