People can hear me well. The sound quality seems good. @@@@@@@@ I have only had for a few days) Seems to die quickly. It said I had 6 hours of use but didn't actually last that long, if that keeps up that could be annoying. My biggest con is ear pain. I am hoping my ear will get used to it but for now no matter what size ear piece I use it causes pain after wearing a while.

Great Bluetooth for talking. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is it hurt my ear after awhile.

Have used Plantronics for years. This one is one is the only one I've had that hurts my ear after wearing for a while and doesn't pick up my voice when I say "answer" or "ignore" - you almost have to yell it.

When we design a specific headset we aim to accommodate around 80-90% of different ear shapes and sizes but unfortunately one size (or in this case one style) doesn't fit all. If the headset is uncomfortable to wear, feels loose in your ear or just seems like it'll fall regardless of the eartip size you are using we do recommend trying a headset with a different wearing style.

We will also forward this feedback to our product managers for them to consider when designing future products. Plantronics

The Voyager is slighter fatter and hurts the back of my ear while the Legend II did not. But the product works great (and my ears are super sensitive -- most people would have no problem @@@@@@@

Holding a phone to my head literally hurts my neck. This headset is always reliable and has good sound quality. No complaints.

I tried about 3 different bluetooth, some hurt my ears and some were poor quality sound. The one I ended up with is pretty good. Each time I got them at Best Buy, and there was never a problem at all to return/exchange them.

It works well in general and has good sound quality. The buttons are useful, though a little awkwardly positioned. Ultimately, my biggest complaint is that having it hooked over your ear with the earpiece inserted begins to get painful after a while, and it's not completely clear how to best situate the device. A perfect device would sit snugly and comfortably on your ear without any real other way to sit, but this one I find myself adjusting constantly, looking for the best combination of sound quality and comfort.

The function of this headset is excellent, it reconnects up itself and the range is remarkable. The battery life isn't bad, 7hrs., and it charges up very quickly. It isn't very loud though, in very noisy areas it's difficult to hear anything clearly. It does hurt the back of my ear after wearing it for a couple of hours, but it's really easy to change it over to your other ear. Overall, so far, I do like it.

The electronics of this device, clarity of calls and features are great however it doesn't stay in my ear. I do admit I have this problem with using the Apple ear pods that comes with the iPhones so it could just be that I have an oddly shaped ear canal. When I do get it to stay it hurts after being there for a little while. Would be a 5 Star product if fitment was correct. It does come with 3 different size ear pieces.

The headset doesn't fit as well as the voyager pro hd. when you try to adjust or push the earpiece back into the ear, you are either covering up the mikes, or pressing the mute button. also having the call disconnect button on the back of the boom instead of the side, is a pain. I wear glasses and plantronics says to put your glasses arm on the outside of the unit, another pain, just doesn't seem that the earpiece sticks out as far as the voyager so it just doesn't go far enough into the ear. People say that my voice goes in and out alot, didn't happen with the voyger, I think that its because the mike boom sits farther away from the face/mouth. it cuts out the extra noise I guess but just doesn't fit well and doesn't go into the ear far enough for me. I work in road construction, drive a dump truck and when i'm bouncing around, the unit just feels like it gets loose in the ear, so I have to be constantly adjusting the unit, trying to push the thing back into the ear so I can hear. If you look at the units together, you can see that the voyager pro's earpiece actually sticks out a tad further, probably why it fits into the ear better. if they would have made just the behind the ear piece smaller and kept the ear piece the same, probably would work better. This is strictly what i'm experienceing. Others might have better luck and maybe don't have to constantly adjust the thing as much, as well as non glasses wearers. Should have just bought another voyager pro hd. I do recommend this, its just not working that great for me.

If the headset's design doesn't properly fit your ear and it doesn't feel secure we recommend trying other ear tip sizes.

In case the headset is still uncomfortable we definitely recommend trying a headset with a different wearing style like our Voyager Legend (which is more similar to our older Voyager Pro HD) or our Voyager Edge.

To troubleshoot acoustic issues we do recommend that you try updating your headset's firmware using our Hub app for Android and iOS. You can find this app here: http://www.plantronics.com/us/product/plantronics-hub-mobile

I've been using plantronics headsets for 10 years . The sound quality and battery are great. I use these all day long, so I wear them out. That being said, I go buy another one when they die. This newest version is nice because they went back to the plug in charger. The magnetic charger was a pain. Only real complaint would be that they are pricey, but worth it.

It is durable, but trying to make calls with it's eternally frustrating. I'd pay $20 for it, but not $100+ I hold down the button, and wait for the lady to ask for a command, but 9 times out of ten, it's not even remotely close to what I said. A lot of times, it's just easier to dial directly, completely bypassing the intended purpose. I know it's not me because Siri, Cortana, and multitudes of dictation software work fine, but this one? I have to hold the mic, overly annunciate like a cartoon slow motion. Ridiculous. don't buy it. Voice is clear, but volume is too low prolonged usage hurts your ear.

Thank you for your honest review on our Voyager 5200 series headset.

The voice assistant on your phone is in charge of listening to your command and performing the appropriate action, holding your headset's voice/mute button only tells your phone's voice assistant to start listening to your voice.

If this happens consistently it may be an issue with the headset or with the connection between the headset and phone. You might want to try resetting the Bluetooth connection between your phone and headset to see if that helps the issue.

      To do so:
      1. Delete the headset from your cell phone's list of paired devices.
      2. Once deleted, power your phone completely off, then power it back on. This resets the Bluetooth stack in the Bluetooth software on the phone.
      3. Re-pair the headset with your phone and test.

If the issue is the same we recommend testing the device with another phone to determine if it's on the phone or headset. If the issue persists even on a different phone we can replace that device, it comes with a 1 year warranty from the date of purchase. Best bluetooth headset I have had yet - no surprise, Plantronics has been around for quite a while, so they've had time to get it right. Good noise reduction, exceptional call clarity. It IS a wee bit bulky, and with my tiny ears + glasses it's a bit of a pain to get used to how to put on, but IT WORKS so I don't care. Comments from callers: "It sounds like you are in the seat not the next state!" "I feel like you are standing right next to me!" "I need one of these for my job." "There is zero road noise!" I am able to hear callers exceptionally well also. Using with a Pixel2XL

First time using a Bluetooth. I did read reviews before choosing Plantronics Voyager 5220. Watched a video about it. It is helpful having hands free to walk around (not too far away from where cell phone is) or driving. No one can hear any noise. People can hear me clearly. The devise does hurt my ear a little, and is sore by end of day. Doesn't seem to get use to that. I'm not good at pushing the little button to mute anyone, guess I need to practice more. It is worth having, so I would recommend this brand. Good quality, looks good, does what it says it does.

This ear piece worked great. Very clear even in noisy places and with the wind blowing. Still, I returned it because of how uncomfortable it was. The main part of the ear piece is THICK. It will push your ear out pretty far. After about 20 minutes, I had to take it off. Maybe I just have big ears.... Just be warned, it may hurt your ear. If it doesn't hurt your ear, you'll love this earpiece. It works great!

    Voyager 5220: Worth every penny!

I was a little hesitant in purchasing this BB Exclusive Voyager 5220 only because of the price point. When there are cheaper alternatives inches away on the shelves it can be difficult to opt for one of the more expensive choices. Then I read the reviews, put trust in the reviews, and ultimately bought it. I'm very happy I did as the sound clarity is excellent (even with the windows down). Fit is extremely comfortable with the stock ear bud (you have two additional in the box). Battery life is good so far and recharging is fast. I do have one small negative. This unit can be charged via the micro USB [included] cable. The problem is the access cap that must be opened on the Voyager is a pain to open. So difficult that I didn't want to go through that process again so I ordered the Plantronics Voyager 5200 charging case/charging stand for $32.00 [even though it states "5200" in the title, it works with the "5220" wonderfully). If this charging application/unit was included that would have made things outstanding. The micro USB charging option is still there if I don't have the stand/case or need an emergency charge somewhere. I'm happy as is and would recommend the Voyager 5220.

Plantronics - Voyager 5220 Bluetooth Headset

I got this Bluetooth after returning the Blue Parrott. While I loved the Blue Parrott the headset itself was painful to wear so I decided to give the traditional type Bluetooth another try. The Plantronics Voyager 5220 is a great Bluetooth. It can be worn on either ear. The sound is pretty clear with no static. It is crazy but sometimes it will read out the full name in my contact list when they call but most times it just says answer or ignore. Sometimes I have to shout at it cause it does not always pick up on your voice the first time. Also the Google voice sucks as it does not work most of the time, so it isn't truly hands free.I probably need to download the Plantronics app to make these issues go away. There is occasional static & the earpiece does hurt after long periods of wear. The battery life to me isn't that great. @@@@@@@@ Remember I returned a Blue Parrott that could go for 24 hrs without a recharge so I am spoiled! @@@@@@@ But this is a adequate for daily use. It does come with a car charger so it can be charged on the go. A USB is included but no plug. I guess they figured you have enough of them laying around. That may be an issue with it keeping a decent charge as it seems to deplete itself of energy pretty quick. The range isn't as advertised. I think when they say range they mean unobstructed, like nothing between the Bluetooth & phone. If I go out on my porch or from the bedroom to the kitchen the call become very static to the point I sometimes cannot hear my caller so you may need to carry your phone with you while walking around. I like to pace when I am on the phone. It is as stated sweat proof. Once I download the app ( I so hate having to add yet another app to make a device work properly! @@@@@@@ I will come back to give an update.
