Best used outdoors where there is UV light near your subject. This filter works well near any reflection of water. Can be used as a protection filter to protect your lens from damage. Recommend it.

A must to protect your lens. Will keep it nice and clean.

I bought a whole slew of these. Why? Better this to break than your camera. Also, the UV filter protects your sensor from UV wear which can break down the quality of the photos after time. Don't risk your investment. Buy a lot of these. They will save you a TON of money vs replacing your lens. Scratch this, or scratch your lens. Your call.

It's nice to have this simple piece of glass to take care of an expensive lens. It's very easy to install and forget about it being there. Cleaning is very easy and there is no image quality concerns.

Purchased for a 50mm 1.8 lens also ourchased from Best Buy. I have UV filters on all my lenses to help protect the front glass from dings and scratches. The filter is much cheaper to replace than a damaged lens.

I learned a long time ago from professional photographers that a UV filter is virtually a necessity for any lens, as it's far less expensive to replace the filter than it is to repair a scratched lens element. This filter provides the necessary protection, and handles its filtering duties well.

This lens was purchased for my Canon M50 mirrorless camera. It fits well and looks like its a part of the camera. It's purpose is primarily for lens protection but the UV light protection is a plus. However I have not used the camera outdoors enough yet to make a review about this UV filter feature. My overall summary is that it is cheap protection for a relatively expensive camera.

I bought this as a lens protector. UV Filtering is nice, but the protection it provides at the price is worth it. Going on to Africa on safari and this will protect the lens optics from dust, dirt, scratches, etc. If the filter gets scratched, etc, it's a lot less expensive to replace than the whole lens.

Basic medium to higher quality UV filter to protect your lens. Does the job very well and fits on snug even with the cap. Best one I could find locally

Not only a good UV filter but also an easy to use item that will protect your expensive camera lens. I always install one on the end of every lens. They screw on very easily. I think they are necessary just to protect your lens from scratches and dirt which will ruin any photos. Note the size of your lens before purchasing because they come in different sizes.

Got this for a Sony 50mm lens. It works like it should. I just want something to to protect the glass. I’m not hard on my lenses but this is a nice buffer

Overall this was fine; I don't have a comparison but it seemed to withstand lots of handling and be semi-scratch resistant at least. If you are interested in more waterfall shots, I would recommend going with the additional UV filter for a cooler fuzzy effect; otherwise for basic portraiture, landscapes, and night time photography this was good.

Works great with my EOS M50 Mk II lens kit. I know that a lens kit is a lens kit, but I do like to protect my lenses. Lens filters for protection, at this size, are hard to come by. Not Promaster, Hoya, or B + W quality but still good protection.

Went to Nevada for the strip and natural surroundings. First day there, 50-60 mph winds were announced on the news channel. Sure enough, at the Hoover Dam, Lake Mead Drive, and the Valley of fire the winds were exceptional! The filter protected my lens form the sandstorms and the UV rays. Wasn't especting the winds, glad I bought the filter!

This helps so much to make photos clear and without glare.

Mainly bought it to protect ny lens, idk if it makes a difference in photos. I’m hoping it does hehe.
