Excellent Product, Steal for the Price!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have more than a few filters lying around including a handful of ND filters. I have only had this filter for a few days now and WOW... I love it. I get the same results with this as I do stacking my other filters. And for doing landscapes, which I love, I often find myself spending too much time wasting on setting up and changing out filters. With this I just turn the filter one way to increase the darkness and the other to lighten it up. Skies are bluer Grass is greener, and best of all those at longer exposures those clouds are super smooth. From what I can tell the build quality is very good/sturdy. Time will tell but as of now, an AMAZING product... Wish I would have gone to Variable long ago! Going to the Anna Maria Island Beach Saturday and I'm very happy to have this in my arsenal!!!

Ok at low settings
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Decent build quality, and performs well at low settings. However at higher settings this is is plagued by the black "X" that is common on Variable ND filters. Starting at around 80% of max its very noticeable, from 70-80% one corner on my filter starts to show un-even shading. It works well but only up to about 6 stops at best,

Don't Waste Your Money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Don't waste your money on this variable filter, or any variable filter for that matter. Once you go above 3-4 stops, you get uneven coverage from the filter, you're photos will look terrible. Spend the extra money on separate filters for different stop levels.

advanced to professional photographer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Variable ND is especially suited for landscape photographs. Typically used to capture sense of waters movement. Must focus before image is made and use a tripod as slow shutter speeds will be used.
