    The choice is scratch the prime lens at $150 or scratch the UV filter at $20. I take the filter. This is the 3rd purchase of this lens I've made for each lens I own. Good value

    An excellent optical quality. Can compete with OEM produced products. I had it on an optical bench to test the distortion, not significant worse or equal to the OEM product

    This is a store brand filter, but still works great for protecting your lens's glass. I love the value and the quality is nearly as good as the Hoya filters I have.

    Using a UV lens insures you from damaged photos where too much natural light distorts the image. I had one for my Canon, and I needed a different one for my Nikon!

    Lets be honest, you don't need to protect your camera from UV rays, but you do need protection on the front of your lens. put a layer between elements and your lens
