Filters do two things, it protects the lens from scratches, and it does that perfectly and it filters the light. My favorites are UV and Polarizing filters. I've bought one of each from Best Buy and very happy with the results of both. I'll be there again for my next filter soon as I need one.

I need to play catch-up on my filters. I just started purchasing them with each new Canon lens that I buy and now I need to back track and buy filters for my prior Canon lens purchases. Not only does the lens filter out the UV rays so your pictures will look amazing but it also protects your lens from scratches.

When taking photos on a sunny day using my Canon T6s with the Canon 55-250mm lens I was getting a lot of haze in the photos. After a little research I found that using a circular polarized lens filter can reduce or eliminate the haze and reflections. I purchased the Platinum 58mm Circular Polarized lens filter at my local Best Buy and wow what a difference. The filter did clear up the haze and it also made a very noticeable difference in the clarity and color brilliance. It's a must have if you shoot landscape photos.

Easy to install. Keeps you from having to constantly clean and possibly damage your primary lens from dust and debris.

Can't say much for filters. Either they do the job or they don't. I like the Platinum - 58mm UV Lens Filter and use it on all my lenses for my new lenses with my new FujiFilm camera! They do the job for me and are reasonably priced. I would NEVER let a lense go unprotected!

I have always bought UV lens filters to protect camera lens. This lens filter is a good quality and came in a sturdy carrying case. Best Buy had a good selection of the various sizes and had the one I needed in the local store which was a plus.

Useful and protect the camera lens so well. Not ruin the pictures’ quality.

This is a decent quality filter for the amateur photographer. Threads on the lens of my Canon DSLR very smoothly without the fear of binding or cross threading. Protects the glass on the front of the expensive lens. Good Value without breaking the bank.

I love the planning Platinum UV filter. It comes in good packaging and it fits perfectly on my lens. The price to protect the lens is much cheaper than the lense, so I would definitely recommend getting this UV filter!

I've always been impressed with platinum filters. They aren't terribly expensive and they seem good quality.

I have been a big fan of the Platinum series of lens filters. Quality construction and decent profile. I don't see any degradation of image quality. And you can't beat the price.

We purchased the lens filter to serve as a protection device for our camera lens. It's an inexpensive way to protect our investment. I wish the camera had come with one to start with but it was easy enough to find the filter at Best Buy.

Purchased this lens cap for my new 50mm Nikkor lens. Why a person with any detachable lens would not buy a lens cover is beyond me. Any slip up and the lens is scratched is protected by this unit. Fixing a $400 lens or replacing a $15 lens cap is a easy choice.

As a self taught photographer, I have great appreciation for a clear and exceptional quality filter. With the work that is done with the filter, it’s as thought it really is not on the camera. Very well crafted!! I will but again if broken.

UV Filters don't really do anything to enhance your photography. What they do is offer protection to your lenses. This filter has a high end feel & look. The price is just right for what it is. I wouldn't buy a new lens without putting a UV filter on it.

Platinum UV filters are excellent quality for the money. I'm quite satisfied with it. The filter is multi coated and the glass is optical grade so there is no loss of image quality.

I bought this after security dropped my camera by accident. The plastic to the lens cracked but it was too expensive to repair. So I bought this to cover up the damage. Worked great. at the same time, it also protects the lens from further damage.

They really have no effect on any photos, more of a protective filter from the sun and say if you drop them lens instead of breaking the glass on your lens you’d just break the filter.

There is no better way to protect those expensive lenses than with a Platinum 58mm UV protected lens cover to protect and to filter in perfect lighting for those perfect digital pictures and videos. It's a great protective filter/cover!

I am new to photography but while teaching myself i came across this little must have for outdoor shooting, and i must say, it may not appear to be much, but it most definitely makes a difference.
