This is more of a lens protector than an actual filter. But this is a good way to keep your lens from getting accidentally scratched.

I purchased this lens because my 18/55 lens, while I really like it, just didn't get the distance I needed for some shots. I haven't had it very long but it seems very adequate for a cheaper lens. Very light and cheap feeling, but seems to serve it's purpose just fine.
