Like many people I bought this to protect the front element of one of my lenses. It was quite affordable and I haven't noticed any aberrations in my photos, so it'll do.

This filter seems to work well, has protected our lens from dust and scratches. It seems to show more dirt and dust than other filters I have used in the past, but I'm not sure why that would be.

I always use a UV filter on my lenses. Mainly for lens protection. This one works well and makes very little change of light and color.

I use UV filters more for lens protection than anything.Dropped my 18-140 lens and all that broke was the filter. Cheaper to replace a filter than a lens.
