    UV lens protector

I purchased a new lense and got a free uv lens protector. Well I did notice at first but the protector had some distortion which I could see while taking picture with a zoom lens. It wasn't worth my traveling back to the store so on my way to upgrade my camera bag I notice platinum UV filter. On inspection this filter appeared to have a better coating and optically look cleaner. The resulting picture turned out great with nature colors and no effect on sharpness.

Excellent build quality and fitment on my Nikkor 12-24mm f/4 lens. I think it's a great value for the money. I've used other quality brands previously like the Hoya HMC filters and I feel this Platinum filter compares well. I recently purchased another Platinum 52mm. Highly Recommended!

Excellent results and at the right price needed more covers for different lenses but my location is limited on stock here in Puerto Rico

This is a high end filter. Very well made. Glass with metal ring. Great for preventing damage to your expensive lenses and even filters out UV rays. Easy to clean as compared to cleaning finger prints off of a lens. This UV Protector Filter is a good investment to safeguard your expensive, and fragile, camera or video lenses A great value for a high quality filter. No lens should be without one.

This filter is not a name brand filter, it is one of Best Buy's in-house brands. That being said, it's a great value for casual shooters and beginner photographers. It is a very slim filter, so there should be none to minimal vignetting on an ultra wide angle lens. Threading is decent, and threads onto the lens easily. As a UV filter, the primary purpose for most people would be as an additional layer of protection on the front glass element in case of accidental bumps. In most cases, this filter provides good clear images through the lens, however, in strong backlit conditions a better filter may cut down on glare better.

I got to be placed on my RF 70-200 mm f/4 lens. I buy the UV filters for all of my lenses for peace of mind to use my equipment freely and how they were intended for. My pictures come out the way I expect them to and it fits snug like a glove!

This filter filters out a lot of UV rays. Helps improve colors in pictures taken on sunny days. The filter also save my lens when it wasn't properly mounted to my DSLR. The lens fell and the filter broke but the glass on the lens was not harmed. On my way to Best Buy to get another filter.

When you buy a $1000 lens, it is well worth the trivial extra $$$ to purchase a UV filter to protect the front of the lens from damage. This filter performs that role perfectly. I have not noticed any visual artifacts with this filter, distortions, color aberrations or vignetting.

I purchased a 70-200mm lens from Best Buy and bought the Platinum 77mm UV Lens Filter at the same time to protect the front lens element. I only use UV filters to protect the lens element from scratches, dirt, moisture, etc. The lens manufacturer does recommend a lens filter in order to obtain dust and moisture resistance. The filter does not seem to affect the image quality of the lens.

Whenever I get a new lens, I always put a Platinum UV filter on it to protect the front element. These are usually the best value. I've never had a problem with color cast or distortion with this brand

Paid a little more for this, but so far it's doing all I wanted. While serving as a protector for a more expensive lens, it does not color or effect my image quality at all. Well worth the cost over cheaper versions.

It's still fairly new per se. I've had it for about a month now and it works pretty well. Instead of getting smudges and tons of lint on my lens I'm only getting them on the filter, which I like. Easy to clean and put on. My only complaint is it's sometimes hard to put my lens cap on with it on and it fell off once. Other than that, great buy.

Never use a lens without a UV filter. Besides helping with the color, it seriously protects the actual lens glass. Rather replace the filter than the lens. This one is nice. Clean filter, clear, no distortion.

Bought a new lens but forgot to buy this filter. Wouldn't even uncap the lens until I got back to buy this. A very cheap purchase to protect an expensive lens and filter UV at the same time!
