By far the best case I've come across for my galaxy S8+

I tried several cases but needed one with a holster badly. I tried the big named one that makes your phone 3 times bigger and it obviously would protect it if a tank ran over it, but it made it way too bulky. I was concerned about the reviews for this case and holster as people were saying it was difficult to remove. I found that by pressing down on the rear of the case near the arrows (where the connection between the top and bottom piece is) it separates relatively easy. Is it still a little hard? Yes, but not impossible. The case protects the top, bottom and rear of the phone well, and the holster is nearly perfect. I recommend this case over more bulky types. Good Shopping!

Smartphones are getting more and more expensive, as they assume more importance in our lives. My husband wanted to carry his phone on his belt and I ordered an inexpensive case and holster from Amazon and in the meantime bought him this one. There is a reason some cases are more expensive, and I can see why this one was more expensive than the Amazon one. The clip is very sturdy-I have no doubt it will stand the test of time, and the clip is the weak point in most of these cases. The liner in the holster provides good protection for the phone screen. The phone snaps into the holster and holds very firmly-we literally tried shaking it out and it holds firm.

This carrying case comes in two basic parts. Part 1 (the "easy" part) clips onto your belt in an extremely snug fashion - so much so that my arthritic left hand needs help from my right hand to put it on and take it off. It has a kickstand (surrounding the belt clip) which allows for both portrait and landscape hands-free viewing. Part 2 (which surrounds and protects the phone) was placed on my phone by the salesperson; it actually comes in two parts, which are pushed together, meeting at the portrait midpoint of the phone. To date I have not be able to separate these two parts, although the good news is that I don't really need to at this point. This case also has a kickstand, but provides for landscape viewing only - that is, if you can get it to operate. The mechanism is so stiff that I can't open it using my finger or thumb nails. I have to use my small pocket knife to pry it open (there is an indentation in the frame, along each side perpendicular to the hinge, that facilitates opening). When everything is together in the holster and attached to my belt, it turns out that the spring-loaded clip (holding the top of the phone case within the holster) projects beyond the phone just enough to rub on my inner forearm just below the elbow. This pressure-point can be relieved somewhat by rotating the phone 45 degrees, or by carrying it vertically instead of in the more "normal" horizontal position.

I've found the Platinum phone holsters to be the most functional and sturdy for my phone. On my S4 it held up to the rigors of work, play, etc. So when I purchased a S8+ it was a no-brainer. The small kickstand on the back is useful but not used often. The rotating belt clip is handy for securing it to other articles of clothing or briefcase.

I've been looking around for a good phone for my Samsung Galaxy S8 plus phone and check out otterbox and an online places. The price of this case at Best Buy was too high of $99.99 I did see an open box item mark down to $33 and some change nothing wrong with it, but it was hard to get a part to put the screen protector on. Other than that not bad has a kick stand. Its a 4 star should be 3 star. My opinion everybody is different.

This case is well made. Feels sturdy and is not bulky. It gives good, but not perfect, screen protection. But it's the best you can do without interfering with the screen edge functionality. The kickstand works well. I don't like using the holster, but I tried it and holds the phone securely while making it easy to remove.

The S8+ with the full glass screen seems to beg for some additional case protection. Of course I added the screen protector but also went with the Platinum case for additional drop protection. The phone buttons are readily available. If you like a belt clip then this works well for convenience and damage protection.

i really like the hard case because it does protect the phone when dropped (ask me how i know that), and its two cases in one, the one works as stand and it is removable but you still have the other hard shell to protect it when you are not using it. I did already recommend it to a friend and he bought one also

I've dropped my phone several times with the case on already and it does the job as far as protection. The built in kickstand is great at watching videos, if you need to flip the phone the opposite way the clip also serves as a kickstand. Best purchase I've made for the phone yet!

I don't have much to say except for years I have bought this case for every phone I have had since the blackberry phones were popular and they never disappoint. Great protection, great holster, love the kick stand, and very comfortable in the hand with the soft grip texture.

Case is sturdy and protects my Galaxy S8 but you have to be careful if it is not placed exactly right on the inductive charger. A couple of mornings I found a phone that hadn't charged.

I bought this holster/phone protector for my Samsung Galaxy S8+. I inserted the phone into the protective shell and then put it into the holster, which clips onto my belt. Works great.

Left my phone on my car and drove off with it on there. The phone fell off a few blocks later but the way the case us designed no damage was done to it. Love the kickstand on the back.

This is a great way to prevent wear and tear on your phone. Much better than putting your phone in your pocket. The stand works nicely for viewing videos on work breaks.

great cell phone case that is light and durable. have used on my last 2 phones. love the kick stand feature for watching movies or video chats. must get.

It appears to provide adequate phone protection. It also has a kick stand for horizontal mode only. I wish it also worked vertically.
