I would recommend this phone to anyone that would like a folio style case/cover real leather and high quality construction

This case is very elegant and I especially like the pocket for my cards. I got rid of my wallet! Very nice case!!

I've had this case for about a month now and it is literally falling apart. My wife has had better luck with hers so far (ironically she drops her phone like it's the phone's job to fall on the floor). So this leads me to believe maybe there is a QC problem with the manufacturer. The leather seems nice and has held up to being in and out of my pocket all day long, but I wouldn't expect to see much wear on decent leather after just a month. The plastic, however, is literally just chipping off. The top left corner is where it began and it has since come off in about 4 separate pieces. I've found them while getting up from my desk. Just standing up out of my chair and my foot feels a piece of plastic on the floor. I look at my phone case and yet another piece of plastic has fallen off. Has occurred on 3 separate occasions but I have now found 4 different pieces of plastic almost always on my desk or just beneath it. I was explaining this to two colleagues today and when I examined my case in front of them I saw that I am missing plastic from the bottom right near the speaker. No idea when that came off but it's gone. For $49.99 you expect more than a month out of a phone case. Would not purchase this again. EDIT: You can't make this up. As I was removing my phone from the case to take photos for this review a piece from the bottom left came off. See photos.

Loved the product it did everything I wanted it to do

I searched all over on Amazon and other places to find a good wallet case for my iPhone XS Max, and Best Buy had this one! It's real leather, and feels smooth and of good quality. Not only that the leather smells good too so you can tell it's real leather! A key reason I like this case over all the others because the cards are held in from the side inside rather than vertically like almost all other wallet cases. The vertical ones tend to get loose and when handling your phone with the case closed they tend to drop cards out of the case and the way this one orients the cards they really can't fall out by just handling the phone with the case closed. The reason I give it four stars is I wish this case had some kind of clasp or strap to hold it shut, then a way to tilt the screen with the wallet open so you can watch videos, and a flap that goes in between the cards and your screen to protect the screen. Without the flap the cards WILL wear marks on the screen so make sure you have a screen protector on your phone with this case! Outside of that, it's a solid case and would protect against most falls though I'd feel a lot better if it had a clasp/strap holding it closed as it'd protect the screen more. I'd recommend it if you can live with the limitations as at the time I purchased this no other cases were configured like this with all the options mentioned.

Purchased this leather folio case for my IPhone X Max when it was on clearance in store. Originally $40, was marked down to $11.50 . Genuine leather - is good quality. Coloring was very nice when purchased. As is the case with any leather product it does show wear - however after only two weeks I already have a glaring "scrape" on the front of the folio. I find this discouraging as it has only been transported in my purse a handful of times, carefully stored in a pocket where there are no other objects. Most often it is just in the folio while I am home . I am hopeful that over time the continued wear / aging of the leather will minimize the appearance of this scrape. My biggest "complaint" with this phone case, was upon purchase the front of the folio when folded to close, had a severe roundness to where it did not lay flat against the phone. With some effort on my part to reverse the roundness the front now lays much closer to flat / against the screen. The interior is able to hold a credit card / other small personal items in a small pocket. I found this useful, and appreciated that it was on the interior - as opposed to on the back of the case. I would say that overall quality of materials and useful design, it is a good product and would recommend - but only at a sale or clearance price point.

Well I purchased this leather folio case because I had a Apple iPhoneX leather folio which I very much liked. After spending to much for the Xs MAX I didn’t want to spend another $129.00 for the case. This case is a nice functional case but it lacks the sleep awake option the Apple’s offers and that’s what made the folio worth it over other case options in my opinion. So I've been using this case with no issues it fits very well, the card pockets are a nice addition, and it’s ages well like leather should, but I miss the sleep/wake that Apples version offers and will be purchasing it shortly. Again this case is nice and if you don’t care about the sleep/wake option then this is the case for you.

I have not found many things not to like about this case. It fits the phone perfectly, and there is enough storage for me to store a few credit cards, my gym pass, my work ID, and a few bills. My only criticism is that sometimes wireless charging is a bit hard with the case on, so I have to remove my phone for that. Taking the phone out of the case is not always fast or easy, so if you’re considering this case just be aware that wireless charging may not work as easily with it on.

I went directly to Best Buy after buying my iPhone XS Max, looking for a case. When I noticed that Apple had their own leather case available (non-folio), I immediately looked for alternatives at a lower price. Seems this leather case fit the bill and even offered some additional protection over the screen. The only things missing, in my opinion, are a locking flap (to keep it closed) and a horizontal mount to hold the screen for movies. Other than that, I like it! It’s well made, attractive, and less expensive than Apple’s leather case!

So I love the look of this case. The leather looks amazing and it holds a nice number of credit cards or cash. It also protects the screen from scratches which I like, however, it does not protect well on the corners in a drop. I broke my screen in the corners more than once in a year but accidentally dropping my phone. The corners are hard plastic and don't seem to have the same protection that way that other options provide.

I had a 6s and went to the XSmax. selected this same style cover as the flip cover kept my screen in perfect condition. I think this leather flip over allowed me to skip the screen protector. Note careful putting hard CC cards in it as it does fold against your screen. Other issues is now with the new phone the camera lenses if far enough on the edge it is no longer blocking my camera

There weren't many cases available for my phone when I got this, but I am sure happy I picked this one. It is less bulky than my Otterbox case used on my previous plus sized iphone, and of a high quality fit and finish that at least compares to my Twelve South flip case if not exceeds it. The card/cash pockets are definately tighter. Now I don't have to worry about my stuff falling out accidently. Recommend you consider this if you like the billfold style cases.

I was disappointed when I saw the Best Buy was not carrying the new line of cases from Nomad, as they have been my go to for a few years, but I was surprised by the quality of the leather on this case. About my only complaint is the single card holder pocket rather than a layered 3 card holder.

Seems to be wood quality, but can be a hassle when trying to take quick pics as you have to open it and hold it half way open to ensure you don’t cover the camera. Had it for a few months now and am beginning to the vinyls on the edge coming apart into pieces. I don’t think I can personally recommend it to anyone, unless it is super cheap on price and you just prefer the style.

I bought this because I like leather and for the most part the style. Considering my previous phone case style, I felt this would work better. This is a good alternative to the $129 leather case that Apple recommends. It does not however turn the screen on or off. I don't like that after a few weeks of being in my pockets all day, it still has not conformed to the phone. I do not use the flap pockets. So I can't state how well they work.

Bought it for my wife. Very nice leather and the flap to cover the screen is waaay nicer than we thought it would be. Protects the phone very well when it is bustling around in my wife's purse. Classy enough for her to grab her ID, ATM card and some case and go out with her friends leaving the bulky purse behind. She loves it.

I’m honestly on the edge about this case and here’s why. This case is a portfolio style case. It’s impossible to text message without putting the flap of the case behind your fingers. So that means constant flipping and closing of the case. What worries me, is how long the leather and micro fiber cloth on the inside will last. In order to text properly, you will have to bend the flap back and forth. Bending the flap back and forth equals more wear and tear. Judging by even one days use, I truly do not believe this leather/case will last for more than 3 months. I am a heavy phone user, I use it for work, and I have a very social life with many friends. So a constant text message or reply is needed, which means opening and close the leather flap frequently. The design is overall really great, but even after one day, I’m starting to question if this case will last me for more than 3 months. Only time will tell with this case, and I guess there’s a 1 year warranty on the case. So if there’s any issue with it I return it. Ps: quick side note, there is not type of magnetic closure, or anything to close this flap if that’s a concern for you. It’s not a super tight closure but still protects the screen. Of the numerous cases available, I chose this as the best option for it's appearance, functionality and elegance. I know Best Buy stands behind everything they sell, and if there had been any issues after the fact there would have been no problems resolving it! Again - Chris was wonderful in helping me narrow down and select the best case for my needs and wants for my fantastic new iPhone!

This has been a good product, it seems to be made of good quality, as it has held up much longer than any of the others I have purchased in the past. However when it was new, it is somewhat challenging to remove your phone out of the case. I suppose that is the way they want it to be, so that it will protect your phone better.

I love the color and how great it fits my phone. It feels great and doesn't fade and the color is perfect. The price was reasonable. I would recommend this item to anyone. Plus the lady at the store was very helpful for me to find the right cover. Also at a great price.
