Decent lens hood for the price - but doesn't fit!

Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Most lens hoods provide specifications to match it up with your lens, such as 58mm, 55mm, etc. This one simply says it fits the Canon 55-250 lens, which I have, and it doesn't. However, the "Bower - Pro Series Tulip Lens Hood and Lens Cap for Most 58mm Lenses" fits perfectly! I will be returning the Platinum Lens Hood to Best Buy. Having said that, other than not fitting, it seems to be fairly well built and probably a good deal for less than $10.00. But then again, it doesn't fit and the description is way to vague. For that reason, I give it a 1 star rating.

It can easily be bumped and knocked off. You can reverse it for storage but falls off easily. The threading / mounting needs improvement.

Lens with No Purpose

Only to receive this hood in the mail that I have absolutely no use for. It was $10 bucks so, I shrugged it off and count it as trial and error. However I was very unsatisfied.
