Customers are saying

Customers admire the Pro Studio Flash Kit for its easy setup, portability, and unbeatable price. They appreciate how simple it is to set up and transport, making it convenient for various projects. The kit's portability is also a plus, allowing photographers to use it for both large and small projects. Additionally, customers rave about its budget-friendly price, considering it a great value for the features it offers. However, some customers have concerns about the flimsy stands that may not support the weight of the softbox, and a few have reported missing parts in their kits.

Stands need a bag or two of sand to help make them sturdier. Other than that, the strobes are awesome. The softbox is a plus and the model light bulb can be easily swapped out for something a bit bluer in color temp. Great solution for a studio kit, portable or not (though it is VERY portable, especially with the included roller case it comes with.

Just diving into Studio work - complementing my background in landscapes. These lights are great! One large softball setup and one umbrella, or you can configure both as umbrellas. Easy to travel with for mobile locations (as long as you can plug in) make these a great way to dive into advanced lighting setups. Really good kit!

The lights look professional but the flash is so strong that you definitely need to have knowledge about aperatures and camera settings to make your pictures not be blown out.

Great quality, and easy to carryout. I just buy one yesterday and is very easy to install and you can add other flashes slave and controled direct with the camera with out used the trigger or the cable. And the price was good too. I get open box and was in excellent condition.

    Not Compatible with Canon t3i

I like this kit and think it's a good value for the right person. Advertised as "Compatible with most DSLR cameras with flash or hot-shoe mount," the trigger kit is not, so far as I can tell, compatible with the Canon t3i, one of the best selling DSLRs to date. The rf trigger is one of the primary reasons I purchased this kit. I read the other product ratings on the Best Buy website prior to purchasing but because of the lack of non-compatibility reviews, did not anticipate the problem. I called the customer support but they are not technical support... the guy simply read, "This product is compatible with most DSLR cameras with flash or hot-shoe mount" after putting me on hold a while. Maybe someone out there has a solution to get the trigger kit to work with a t3i?? I could not find one online.

    Decent starter lights

These lights are decent. Some pros: easy set up with multiple trigger options. Cons: 1: tripod stands don't stay tight. Its impossible to raise them up, the center post keeps slipping. 2: light isn't measured in percentages (ie: 1/4 power, 1/2 power) its measured in 1.0, 2.0, 3.0... which takes some getting used to. 3. No zoom feature on light to focus the beam You can get lights with better functionality cheaper elsewhere.

    Awful customer service

Recently bought these lights and they did not come with a reflector. Called customer service and was told they don't have replacement parts for the product. I then asked about purchasing a flash tube as a back up in case one blew, and they said they do not stock them. They stated that the flash tube is not covered under warranty, and as such I cannot return the product. DO NOT PURCHASE THESE LIGHTS! If you are looking for something short term they are fine, but do not buy them if you intend on actually investing in a set of lights you can use for a mobile studio.
