I have a half dozen USB to gigabit ethernet adapters, both USB A and C devices, all from different manufacturers. They all work well, but this Platinum adapter would not work at all on any of the three computers I tried it on. Maybe I just got a defective device. Best Buy kindly gave me a refund. With so many similar devices to choose from, all of which are priced about the same, I would have to recommend you try something else.

Its overpriced but it does as advertised. I really can't let go of this price issue. It does just as good as dongles that cost a fraction as much. Too bad they don't stock those locally. Just open up the store please, I have to run inside to pay as is.

I'm sure this thing works fine for what it's designed for. I was trying to use it to create a hard line for the Nintendo switch. This will not work for Nintendo switch

It's okay, it does not work on game system so it was not what I needed to get I guess u have to order a certain one for game systems.

Does not provide consistent connection. The body has to be supported or it does not connect.

I was looking for a direct connection to my chromebook. It connects but doesn't stay connected

The delivery was left by the garage door late afternoon. Shortly thereafter my wife was backing out of the garage and ended up knocking down the box. It would have been to hit the door bell or get out of the way than you to drop if off and take off. Very unprofessional. I have not a chance to see the damage as of yet.

It did not work for what purchased it for. Will not support Ethernet to smart tv by using usb port.

Expensive for the value and use. Cheaper options on Amazon

I’m sure it works on laptops & such, although I bought it for the purpose of using it on my Nintendo Switch. That I attempted multiple times to connect to lan cable with sadly it was an F in the chat.

After purchasing this adapter that had RAVE reviews I was excited to use it for my Nintendo Switch. Turn out it's incompatible... which sucks, but I was thinking, okay - that's fine - I'll just use it on my laptop. STILL DIDN'T WORK. This adapter only works for very specific devices. Make sure you look into if your device will work before buying. There's no documentation in the package that assists with this. The quality of the materials is great! It has a fancy look and feel, but it's not user friendly.

Bought this for my wife on May 2nd, 2020 to access the internet as her computer didnt have an ethernet port. Today - 8/29 - after only 119 days - it completely stopped working. It often got hot when in use. Sorry but I think a simple thing as a plug should be able to work for longer than 119 days. Dont waste your money.

I bought this for speed and it worked fine for about 2 month. Then the speed reduced, I get less then 300 Mbps and it gets hot. It says "lifetime limited warranty" but whenever I call I am told to call another number. I don't recommend this product. I bought a different adapter (J5) and that works fine.
