I will say that all the great things you hear are true. I'm not that great a techno-whiz so I'm probably not the best guy to go for for a review. All I know is that all that I want in a video game console is here. Great graphics, easy setup, a good controller (a major improvement to the previous Sony controllers), and it won't spy on me while I use it (stay away from the X-BONE!!!). I jut wish that it was backwards compatable. Maybe some of the best selling titles will upgraded like in previous generations, but it is still a major bummer.

I have no complaints about the PS4 so far. It is fast and the games look amazing. I only wish there were games to choose from, but, that just takes time. I would rather the controller had a changeable power pack. I tend to keep it plugged in while I play but I do wonder how many discharge cycles you actually get before the battery starts dying faster. Also, to charge the battery, any powered device with a USB port will work, you don't have to plug the controller exclusively into the PS4's USB port; the instructions didn't mention that.

My 12 year old son received the PS4 for Christmas and hasn't stopped using it since. The graphics are great, much more improved than the other systems - more life like. The system is easy to understand and operate. Great investment!

This is the best Playstation ever. The graphics are wonderful with a new touchpad controller that works great without the issues of the PS3's. We've had it for about a year and have had no issues with it during regular use.

Impressive graphics, great streaming device, sleek design, improved ergonomics on controller. Overall very impressed. My only complaint, if any, would be that battery life of the controller seems less than that of the ps3.

I will be honest by saying that I am glad that I didn't get a PS4 with day one issues. However, we all should expect that from a new console. There has never been a new console release without specific console issues. Plain and simple, they're expected. On the bright side, for those that had an issue, you'll get a new console, you're not being ignored. For those like me that have a perfectly fine functioning console, then you know the joy that I am experiencing. Sony has indeed delivered to those of us who like GAMES! This is the console that is focused on that very purpose. Even my 3 yr old daughter is obsessed with The Playroom (this works best with the playstation camera). That camera based game has proven to be a success based on the entertainment value that it holds, especially for children. All in all, I am overly pleased and I hope everyone else is too. It's a great value for a fantastic system!

While you may not think you need to upgrade from the 3 to the 4, I would strongly recommend you do so. The PS4 runs much smoother than my 3, has loads more storage, and has an interface that is much easier to navigate. I use my PS4 for watching Hulu and Netflix, playing games, and watching blurays. The only major issue is that the PS4 is not backwards compatible and their isn't a ton of new PS4 content available just yet. But even with those drawbacks, it's still a great purchase.

In the previous generation of game systems, I had the Nintendo Wii, the Xbox 360 and the PS3. Each had their pluses and minuses, so I was happy to own all 3. This time I wanted to choose platform only. The PS4 allows me to watch Blu-Ray movies, has the best resolution currently available, and one doesn't have to purchase a membership to get basic services on PlayStation Network, which allows me to watch Netflix, Crackle and Hulu Plus. In addition gameplay is smooth without delays, slowdowns or jaggies. If you can have only one system, it should be this one, and buying from Best Buy got me Best Buy Reward points. I also continue to get extra Gamer's Memebership points as well. I'm happy I bought my system there.

Outstanding system with great graphics. I purchased bundle with extra controller, charger and Killzone. Not disappointed with the purchase, just wish Sony made the PS4 compatible with my library of PS3 games.

My initial thoughts were that the PS4 was going to be practically an improved PS3. I guess I was wrong. I understand the lack of available games as it is a brand new platform, but the lack of PS3 features just bums me out on this system. There is no way (so far) to load onto the internal memory, songs or pictures like the PS3 did. In doing so, playing NFS Rivals, I can't use my own music as the playlist during gameplay. The menus seem a little more complicated (IMO), but I know that part just takes a little getting used to. Just don't like how it's missing several PS3 features so that's the reason for the 4 stars only. Otherwise the graphics and refresh rate #aka gameplay smoothness) is wonderful! I have NFS Rivals on PS3 and I can definitely tell the difference with NFS Rivals for PS4.

The PS4 provides cutting edge graphics, a great library of games and possibly the best controller available for a console. If you want to play all the latest big name games, this should be a no brainer

I've never been loyal to a specific company but I am very happy I went with a Playstation 4 over the Xbox one. The game play and graphics are superb as to be expected but the new controller design is really awesome. It sits in your hand way better then the ps3 controllers did and has a new big bottom in the middle that is also like a track pad on a laptop. The game selection is great and the Playstation plus has added tons of new features that make it that much better.

Solid console. First game was COD AV which blew me away. Great integration with services I already use like Amazon and Netflix. Easy access to demos and game purchases. Runs smoothly. Just love it.

Haven't gotten to use all the features of the system, but so far it's easy to start up and go, graphics look awesome for Call of Duty, and it does exactly what I want it to without a glitch.

I've had my original 1st edition PS3 for a long time and loved it. I definitely enjoy the graphics, details, and performance of PS4 much better. Plus I'm liking PS Plus for the free games.

If you want to play games, watch Netflix, stream music or movies than you have to get the PS4. It didn't have very much at launch but now it has anything you could possibly need. I regretted selling my PS3 at first because of the lack of music player and a decent media player that would pick up my home server but that has all been solved. I was almost convinced into buying an XBox One because of that but I'm so glad I didn't. This thing is a beast and it looks really nice with all the other stuff I have in my living room.

Sony has done it again. Another solid performer. Faster than the last Playstation, sleek new case design, and the new DualShock4 controllers are even more comfortable than the last ones.

Got my PS4 and am very happy with it. Obviously, since it just launched, the games library is in its infancy. And the graphical quality, while excellent, is not even close to where it will be once the developers have taken off their training wheels. PlayStation + is a great feature. The new controller is outstanding, although the LED light drains the battery faster than I would like. Bottom line, it is a truly next gen system which will only get better.

Moved to PS4 from PS3 6 months ago. Great console, no issues. The PS4 is noticeably faster than the PS3 and the graphics are much better. The console is so good I never think about it.
