So far this is probably the best PS5 console I've owned since the launch of the PS5 but it is definitely been overhyped because PlayStation or game developers or whoever is not owning up to their end of the deal because most games I have played since purchasing this console at launch to date still have not been optimized for the PS5 Pro. Long story short I do not recommend buying the pro if you already own a slim PS5 but if you don't own a PS5 and you're looking to get one I would go straight for this console you won't regret it. Only downside is not being able to purchase the disk drive as promised because of the scalpers buying them all out doesn't matter anyway because I also own a PS5 slim and it's plate for the disk drive is definitely too short even though it fits you can tell it's not meant for it even the aftermarket this drive if you can get a hold of one the didk drive cover plate is obviously designed for the PS5 slim. Also plan to invest in a dust screen because I don't know why I like the PS5 slim or any console before it this thing is a dust magnet opened it up less than a month after running it because it started overheating and the heat sinks was packed full of dust in less than a month of operation.

If you like high quality gaming and have the time for it the ps5 pro is definitely worth it usually you have the option of 60 fps with performance with it looking a little worse or quality lokking really good but at 30fps on the pro you can run quality at 60fps looking stunning

The PS5 Pro improves on the standard PS5 experience meaningfully by boosting frame rates in unlocked titles, and providing improved graphics in a number of enhanced titles. It’s early days still, but I’ve seen noteworthy improvements in games like Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Stellar Blade, Visions of Mana, and Dying Light 2. However, not every game benefits from the increased power, and some games have been patched with changes that arguably reduce the image quality.
At $700 (or $780 with the disc drive), it’s definitely not a mandatory upgrade, but it’s nice for die-hard fans or PC gamers looking for fewer compromises on their console titles.

I'm a bit mixed on the Pro, I knew they were going to make a Pro PS5 eventually and I held off in order to get it, but $700 (now $750 with the price hike) and no disc drive is a lot of money for a device that's mainly just to play video games. I did get the disc drive separately so I can play physical games too, so after tax I'm over $800 into this system.
If you're a console player and you want the most powerful hardware you can get, that's what the Pro is. You can play games like Ghost of Yotei and Death Stranding 2 in the best quality they can be on the Pro since there's no PC versions right now, and that will be true for Wolverine and GTA 6 next year. Having 2 TB of storage space is nice too, I still haven't filled mine up all the way yet.
But that's my hang up, at $800 I really think a PC is a better value. If you don't care about discs and catch the Pro this Black Friday at $650, then it might be more worthwhile. But you can get a decent PC for $800 that opens you up to more options like Steam, Game Pass, emulating older games, ect. and you don't have to pay a subscription to play multiplayer games online like you do on PlayStation.
All that being said, playing on the Pro is simple, you download a game or pop a disc in and it just works. PC gaming can be complicated, and a lot of people don't want to deal with the headaches that PC gaming can have with drivers updates and just random weirdness that needs troubleshooting here and there.
Ultimately, it's up to you what makes sense. If you want a simple console with the best quality that offers, that's what the Pro is. But I honestly think this is a case of paying for convenience, I really do think PC is the better, long term bang-for-your-buck route if you're looking at spending this kind of money

PS5 pro takes it to the next level but you have to have a good TV to notice these changes. I have mine paired up with a Sony OLED TV and games are much sharper without dropping frame rate using the most recent PSSR technology.

I love it! As a lifelong PlayStation user, the PS5 didn’t miss with looks and performance! The only downside is that it doesn’t come with a disc drive, but it’s not a problem since Sony makes it easy to install if you decide to buy one down the line.

The ps5 is great. Runs really well has plenty of storage. If youre on the fence about getting it, you need to hop off of it and go and buy one right now!

Great purchase from Best Buy. I bought this to be a dedicated media player in my living room, with the bonus of being able to play video games. I have the original disc drive ps5, so thus would be a second model, and the newest! Bought open-box and waited for a great sale. I added a disc drive and glistco black plates. Added a 2 TB M.2 SSD into it, with Death Stranding 2, the Death Stranding 2 controller, and a media controller for the console. Happy with this purchase!

I upgraded to the Pro after having the original PS5 for a few years and I’m really glad I did. I love the design. It's cleaner and fits my setup better than the OG.
The performance upgrade is noticeable. Games run smoother, load faster, and everything just feels better. Definitely happy with the upgrade. PSSR2 is going to make it that much better!!

The PS5 Pro is a game changer. The improved graphics and faster load times are truly impressive. While the price tag is steep, the performance and features justify the cost for serious gamers. If you're looking to push the boundaries of console gaming, the PS5 Pro is the way to go.

At first I was a bit skeptical about the possibility of getting one at the store but upon arriving at the store, I got one and I was so happy. I think the pro runs smooth than the other ones. Overall, it was a good purchase for my birthday.

I been waiting to buy the PS5 pro and it doesn't disappoint. The 4K gaming can’t get enough. The storage capacity just amazing. So happy I went with bestbuy. Great deals at BestBuy!

Awesome! definitely worth buying. There were cheaper versions of this game but I got the best one out there. Has a lot of storage space and comes with an Astro bot game that helps you learn how to use the controls. Only downside is that it come without the disk drive which you have to pay $70 extra. If your okay with digital games then you don’t need the drive but if you have disk CD’s especially if you I want to play PS4 games you might want to buy the drive. Honestly though it’s worth it! The graphics, quality, remote play and accessibility are the best!
