Customers love the PlayStation Classic Console's affordable price and the inclusion of two controllers, finding it easy to use and a nostalgic trip down memory lane. However, many are disappointed with the limited game selection and some have noted issues with the emulation quality. The compact size is also a frequently praised feature.

The PS Classic comes with very well known games, but it's lacking some titles that should have been a must for this system. The controllers feel exactly like the original ones. It's a shame they aren't the Dual Shock controllers as they would have been excellent to use on both the system and a PC (it uses a USB connector).
The system itself is very powerful and works very well if you manage to add games to it...

Comes with long HDMI and micro USB cables. Official USB Sony PlayStation controllers look and feel great. The PS Classic is beautiful with amazing attention to detail compared to the original. Even as a working model or boxed collectable this is %110 percent worth it. It'ss capable of running SNES and Genesis, also a pretty good reason to consider it.

3 out of 5 I want more games. Playing on the PlayStation Classic Console brought back good memories. I love the compact size. No need to have a shoebox of games. All 20 games are pre loaded. But would have loved to have the option to download. Sadly only 20 games...

The PlayStation Classic has well designed hardware and a true PS1 look about it. Unfortunately cheaped out a bit by not including a power supply (there's an HDMI and power cable, just no wall transformer) and the game selection is poor. To top this off Sony chose to use PAL titles for some games. PAL is a European television standard that updates the screen 50 times a second verse NTSC here in North America which updates at 60 times per second. The way they corrected for this causes a slowdown in these games. Not noticeable to someone who hasn't played them before but noticeable to many old timers.
BUT WAIT! There is hope. If you search on line you will find BleemSync and AutoBleem. These two open source develops allow you to add additional games to PSC using a simple flash drive. Everything happens automatically and the PAL games can be replaced by NTSC versions. This makes the game selection be what you want (e.g. adding Crash Bandicoot) as well as allowing you to play NEC, GEO NEO, and other games using the Retroboot game emulation system.
I couldn't be happier with my purchase once I made this addition. Just be sure to read up a bit on line to make sure you know exactly what to use and it will be super easy.

Pretty much a great idea, but a half baked execution. The controllers don’t have analog sticks, and many important classics are not here. On the plus side, it does look cool, and have seen this discounted to 60 dollars online. Much better than the 100 dollar msrp.

I had heard a lot of negative reviews when this first came out so I waited for a heavy sale before purchasing it but I have been pleasantly surprised so far. It definitely has its share of problems (just look at a lot of the earlier reviews) but at a cheaper price point they are as glaring.
I read that you can actually hook this up to the computer and fix some of the problems that way too, will be giving that a shot

I have to admit, when the PS Classic was announced, I was not impressed with the lack of games installed in the console. Once the console was released, it recieved mostly negative reviews because of the poor emulation especially at the $100 price point.
The PS Classic is at its best when modded, and hacked with more games and the added emulator features included with the hacks. This console is mainly for nostalgia.

I bought this st the right time, when it was I sale for $19.99. For that price, it is worth getting, but Sony really made a mistake on rushing this out and making some bad decisions on the game library included. Besides that, dual shock 1 controllers should have been made for the PS classic, and no power adapter included for the micro usb cord. If those 3 were met expectations, I would have given it 5 stsrs.

For a retro set, its what you'd expect, but the games included really haven't aged well compared to the ones we see on the NES Classic and SNES Classic. Visually the games look low quality, and the few good ones have mostly had better sequels made for newer systems, or revamped with better graphics. The 2D games present on the NES and SNES Classics can get away with looking old, but 3D games just don't fare as well.
On the bright side, its very inexpensive now and comes with two fully USB-compatible controllers. Getting the retro experience by using the controllers on a PC is arguably better than on the PS Classic itself. Like the NES Classic, the controller cables are a little short, especially for today's larger TVs which require a greater sitting distance, but being standard USB, extension cords are easier to come by.

Out of the box, comparing it to the nes and snes classics, it's simply not as good. The game selection is lacking, and the performance is just ok. However, there are many interesting things you can do with this. Google is your friend.

Good controllers for PC, mini is great if modified since the games that are on the machine where not properly emulated. Easiest mini to mod and add stuff and more powerful than the rest for that. Better than a rasp pi 3

Other than the obvious shortfall of game selection, I was disappointed in the exclusion of some sort of AC adapter. So you have to purchase, or have a USB wall adapter on hand. Overall satisfied, at the price I received the item at.

When this was on sale for $19.99 i picked one up. It's a nice little device but it doesn't have a lot of great games in my opinion. But for Final Fantasy 7 and the Resident Evil: Director's Cut I was willing to pay the sale price for this. Be sure to check if you like the games. Also, please note that it comes with a USB cable to plug it in but it does not come with the power adapter brick.

Listen, if you're like me, you pre-ordered this and felt really bad when it price dropped 40 dollars within 30 days. If you're also like me, you then price matched it and felt really good about what you got for the price you ended up paying. It doesn't have the most complete collection of games, but considering JUST Final Fantasy 7 is the size of the complete SNES collection of games, you get what you can.

I love hearing the old sounds of the PS1 as it starts up and starts a game. I just wish it had more games. I don’t know how some made the cut. I think it’s worth the 20 bucks I bought it on sale for, not the usual 60 bucks.

It's really cool looking and the controllers feel very nostalgic, but the emulation is quite lacking. I really only use it for Mr. Driller now as that game emulates quite well and I don't have any other way to play that game.
