I purchased this SSD to replace a 256GB Adata that was about five years old. It was still working just fine, but I wanted a little more space so that I could have multiple games installed simultaneously. Installation, configuration, and OS install were easy peazy, but then again, I'm an old tech with 20+ years of IT experience. Its a good drive. Read/Write speeds are comparable to Samsung. If you are one of those people who isn't bothered by the fact that it doesn't say Samsung on it, its a good SSD at a good price. Mine is proudly displayed behind the tempered glass side of my NZXT S340 Elite case. It looks great.

PNY 480GB internal solid state drive, works as it is supposed to and was less expensive than the rest.

Its slower than a hard drive. Read speed tops out at 37MB/s write at 34MB/s. Bought it to help with a project and its slower then the hard drive it was supposed to replace. Not sure what the problem with this one is, but its junk. I've attached screenshots of what windows says to verify my situation. I have other drives and they all work well. Won't buy another PNY drive again. Its not my pc.. Threadripper 3960x here.

Nice amount of storage and installation is easy. It comes with an adapter in case you need it. So far it has been reliable and the speeds are great. My laptop has been given new life with it, boot times are almost instantaneous!!!

Excellent SSD price to performance! I have been using PNY SSD's since they first came out.. I have had only 1 failure and PNY customer service was excellent in replacing it. Perfect size to use as primary drive for Windows and software in conjunction with a traditional drive for data storage. Note: mounting bracket, SATA cable, or screws are NOT included. Please make sure you know what you are doing if purchasing to replace your existing drive.

Setup was easy, just download the software and use a USB to SATA adapter cable to copy HD to SSD (SSD was connected externally) and swap drives once completed. I was surprised at the ease (do have substantioal PC experience, but just follow the instructions and you should do fine). Once installed, the PC will bark at the drive size change, updates the BIOS for drive size and reboots and continues to work as normal. Brings a slow machine back to life. Pictures show 2 types of cables, USB 2 (2 connectors for additional power for SSD) and USB 3 (single USB connector, Blue). Also shown is an optical drive tray conversion, replace the exiting CD/DVD tray with adapter for the SSD for laptop or desktop if you don't have open bays to add.

When i checked out the price was even lower than advertised. Hard to beat that. EASus "easily" transferred the data from my existing 120gb ssd to the new ssd and everything is working flawlessly.

What can I say? They are fast, reliable, and the prices are coming down. I can't tell you how many of these drives I have purchased over the years and have never had a problem. If you are still using a mechanical drive, I can't emphasize enough how a SSD will boost the performance of any machine by 10X.

I am very impressed with the access and write time with the PNY drive. It made a world of difference with the performance of a three year system as if it was replaced with a new laptop. I was amazed with the boot up time and how quickly the programs loaded. For the price you can not beat the performance.

This drive brought back life to a 2011 MacBook Pro. Very nice and a good price.

I had Dell Inspiron 13" 7375 that was great for about 6 months, then the HDD started having issues. Every time I turned it on, I had to wait about 20 minutes for it to boot up because the disk usage was at 100%. I tried repeatedly to wipe it and put a fresh install of windows (without dell bloatware) and it still had the same problem. I had basically stopped using it and was ready to sell the thing when I saw this SDD. It fixed everything and now my laptop runs like a dream. Great price too!

Outstanding replacement for OEM hard drive. Super fast in comparison to an old mechanical hard drive. Low noise and very little to no heat produced. Highly recommend!

Deal of the day, great price. Very easy to swap out my smaller SSD. Purchased program from BB to transfer files. Worked perfect the first time! Fast!

I love this solid state hard drive for my laptop. Rather than taking up to 45 seconds to boot up, it takes 12 seconds. Operates quicker than prior hard drive.

This is my fourth PNY 480GB SSD drive. I used them as boot drives in laptops and desktops. None have failed so far. They are fast and roomy.

Excellent entry level SSD It will improve speed over mechanical drive Take in consideration that in an old rig (PC) it will definitely improve overall performance and speed, the best upgrade for a PC with mechanical drive... I been using this and other brands and consistently have been good drives, trustworthy

I purchased this model to replace a common hard drive, and the difference is night and day. Good performance, stable, and the price is right. If you need speed for your laptop, desktop, older Macs, then this one is right for you.

Great internal SSD for desktop upgrades. Replaced an older SSD that was failing, this one was twice as big and cost less than I originally paid for the old one, it's faster than the old one was when new, too. Not using as a primary drive, but I would if that's what I needed. I've used several PNY drives before, all have been great.

My computer wasn't very old but it was slow. i bought the new drive at the suggestion of the best buy rep. I was ready to get rid of my computer. Now I love it. Really fast !!!!
