    When it says "for laptops" thats just advertising to let people know that they can use it for a laptop. I have it for a desktop and works as intended

    Best Buy Geek Squad went over the top to help me recover material from the dying drive. Just be forewarned that music, videos and photos do not back up well on one drive and google cloud storage (or the recovery does not work well)...

    I bought this drive to take on OS & program operation instead of a 3 TB drive. I only want to clone over the OS and program files. The free software provided assumes that you are moving to a larger drive and makes you pay an extra $30 if you only want to clone a portion of the drive. Terrible business model, very silly to make any assumption about consumer needs and place this type of limitation on the software provided. I would not buy this drive unless you are moving from a smaller drive. No proble with the drive, but PNY and Best Buy lost 2-3 sales from me because of this limitation.
