Excellent hdd, very fast, does not sound or heat.

I wanted the nvme, but my mobo won't work with that. It is an i5 and a slightly older Gigabyte motherboard. I also was concerned about the caching, rewrite, etc. But I have to say this SSD did well. I have not had any problems, especially playing games. Loading is fast. I don't fear the reboot, when updating. I have no data loss. Runs well.

i'm a frugal shopper and PNY is reasonably priced performance, if you haven't made the switch to solid state drives you need to.... computer, playstaion, xbox... trust me reduced loading times and stable construction will have me picking up inexpensive and easy to install drives like this all he time

I installed this SDD into my mid-2010 iMac as a replacement for the internal HDD that died. It's not unique to this SDD, but the only caveat to this replacement was that the new drive did not support the HDD temperature sensor. I was able to fix that with a software app that could control the HDD fan.

Easy to clone never have errors and this drive is super fast with a lot of space. Use them in high performance machines at my job

Bought this in-store on sale. Good price for the performance. Bought this as an upgrade for my wife’s gaming computer. This drive will blow the doors off any standard 7200 rpm hard drive. Comes with a free copy of Acronis Data Migration Software for cloning your current drive so you can make this your main drive. Software worked perfectly and even changed the assigned drive letter of the new drive to “C:” and the old HDD it was replacing to “E:”.

My HP laptop was suffering from a long start up - whether the HDD was failing or I have loaded too many startup programs, I don’t know, but decided to go SSD. Wow - laptop now boots to login in about 3 or 4 seconds! You can download a free bit of software from PNY that mirrors the old HDD, simple!!

Fine so far. Honestly is what it is: budget storage from a brand you know. Will update if they die, but I put six of them in a server in RAID 10 and will be adding two more. One star off mostly with a finger pointed at Dell, as their servers are picky about the drives and since this drive is not certified you will get alerts and alarms about storage.

I got this 480gb PNY SSD a couple of weeks ago --- and it is working fine. It was easy to install. What else is there to say? I guess the most important info besides this is --- how long it will last. That I cannot know at this time.

Replaced a smaller 240 GB SSD. Easily cloned and replaced in my full sized tower. Speed is as expected.

This is my second PNY 480 gb and both work sooooo ROBUST and are easy to install and format !! Its always good to have a identical size SSD for any issue that may arise so you can have a CLEAN install of windows of your choice or for backing up system that said it does come with a Arconis software for cloning your drive if you have to but i recommend a clean install of windows.. The drive performed excellent and installed windows very quickly from the flash drive with no issues or errors so if your looking for a solid SSD drive PNY is the way to go i have been using them for the past several years with not one problem ..

friggin' wicked fast hard drive. strongly recommend putting one in your laptop or desktop.

I have an older desktop which came with a 3.5 HDD 5400 RPM. This SSD was used as an upgrade. I am very pleased with the performance. The boot time and transfer speeds are a lot faster. It boots in about 30 seconds where it used to take up to 2 minutes.

The price compared to capacity is quite reasonable Everything that runs off of it loads extremely fast. It says it's for laptops, but I just custom mounted it inside my PC case and it's been running perfectly.

Made a huge difference on the boot up time on my older laptop

My HP Pavilion 23 hard drive was failing and causing distress to performance of the computer. The G.S. installed the CS900 SSD, and gave me the confidence it would perform much better than the 2011 hard drive in my desk top that was operating at 50%. The boot-up time (for me) is incredibly fast. I've only had the software installed less than a month; right now it's performing as advertised.
