I love the PNC SSD. The drive is very fast and easy to setup.

My ancient computer needed speeding up. I got this drive. I transferred my old HDD to it and fired it up. The computer now has new life. Much faster booting and operation. This is on an old SATA 1. The SATA 1 is much slower; but the drive works. The only problem is Windows 10 still wants to defrag it, rather than Trim it. So, I had to use an external trim program and deactivate the automatic windows optimize. I'm not sure if the drive or the SATA 1 is the cause of this. The only drawback, is that it doesn't include any utility software for maintenance. The firmware update utility didn't work.

Fast and reliable. Looks good and is very quiet. I’m using it for Mac time machines.

I have a few older desktop computers around the house that are good units they are just slower and I had been considering recycling them but I put this unit in one, loaded Windows 10 and some basic music and video playing software on it now that PC is my entertainment server/hub. This drive is quite and runs great. I got it for a great price as well. Glad that I purchased it for sure!

Sure Samsung Evo's are better, but these come at less than half the price and are on sale quite a bit. For workstation computers these get the job done and some of the older ones have lasted over 5 yrs.

Bought this to replace a failing HDD on older laptop. Easy install. Computer is very snappy now.

Decent cheap SSD. Installed it in an old laptop with no issues, and saw a pretty big improvement in performance. 120GB is good enough if you're just going to be browsing the web; for most other applications I'd recommend getting more storage. But for the price, it's a great way to squeeze a little more performance out of an older machine.

Keeping things very simple. This PNY SSD has one job, at least in my system, and that is to boot the main OS as fast as possible so I can get things done. That goes for either work or play. I chose 120GB to run the system, but not to host any important work. I have that data on the old beefy HDDs. This will allow your system to boot in under 30 seconds from a cold boot and within 15 seconds on a system restart. There are bigger names and faster drives, but for just running the Window 10 operating system, it gets the job done--Quickly and quietly.

overall system performance is impacted by CPU/Disk/Memory/Network Traffic; any inefficiencies will be noticeable. Loading the OS on SSD eliminates excessive CPU cycles to assemble the data [data gets scattered on HDD & needs to be regrouped]. Adapter brackets are available for installs in a computer case. For evaluation, I bought this SSD; worked great, bought 6 more. as a ++ SSD have an extremely high MTBF.

This is the perfect upgrade if you have a super slow computer. This thing is fast and cheap!

Installed in a desktop that is probably 12 years old. I don't use it as a main computer for anything just to play music. It came with a 80 gb hard drive. This SSD made it like a new lower tier desktop and is pretty quick now, Boot time is about 15 seconds now compared to 60 or more minutes. So I would recommend it. I did have to use software I had to clone this SSD.

This was easy to install, works well, and the computer boots up much faster with it!
