excellent disc drive fast and reliable good speed .

Bought 2 of these on a Deal of the Day under $19, pretty much use one as a windows 10 image backup and the other as a large flash drive. These are good a cheap and easy to store.

AT FIRST I WAS SEARCHING WITH A GOOD BRAND OF SOLID STATE DRIVE AND THE FIRST ONE THAT POPS UP WITH A TONS OF GOOD REVIEW WOULD BE THIS PNY SOLID STATE DRIVE. I COULDN'T ASK FOR MORE. FOR ITS PRICE YOU WONT GO WRONG. FOR ITS SPEED. ITS FASTER THAN YOU EVER THINK OFF. BOOTING UP WOULD USUALLY TAKE 30 SECS ON A REGULAR HARD DRIVE BUT FOR SOLID STATE DRIVE AN EASY 10 SECONDS AND YOULL BE RIGHT ON THE SPOT. PROS : BUDGET FRIENDLY GOOD REVIEWS GOOD BRAND CONS : TOO MUCH GOOD FOR ITS PRICE.

The original HD in my 1st generation i7 Dell laptop finally bit the proverbial dust. I decided to try out an SSD to see if it truly made a difference. I used to be able to make a PB&J sandwich while I waited to get to a truly usable desktop. Now its a matter of 40 to 50 seconds! I'm sold on SSDs from now on!

I recently upgrade my 5-year old PC to have my OS on this SSD and everything else (such as games) on my 1TB HDD. Once I migrated the OS to my SSD, boot time and application launch time were significantly decreased (as expected). The PNY SSD is a great (and cheaper) alternative to the Samsung EVO SSDs.

Affordable SSD, great as a boot drive and for a couple of programs and games. Faster reads and writes than hard drives too. Includes a spacer as this SSD is 7mm tall, so it can fit snugly in a 9.5mm slot. The Acronis software is also a nice bonus and you can use it with other SSDs HDDs.

Put it in an old Toshiba laptop that the mechanical drive was failing, C55-b5299 . Since I only use this Laptop to browse the web and check Email 120 GB is more than enough. I also run Linux on the machine. No issues with the PNY drive everything works wonderful and runs faster than ever before.

Super easy to install. Extremely fast. Boot times are 1/10th those of traditional hard drive. Comes with Acronis key to download necessary for migrating old disk drive contents to new SSD.

I've been using this SSD for a couple of months now, and I've had no problems. It definitely beats the heck out of every HDD I've ever had. It's too small for most people to use as the only hard drive in a computer, but it'll work for gamers who just want their system files on this hard drive and everything else on an HDD. Personally, I have Windows installed on an HDD and Linux installed on my SSD. I checked the read/write speeds. I did 10 trials of each within a 1-2 minute period. Write speed average: 444 MB/s Lowest write speed: 265 MB/s Highest write speed: 513 MB/s Read speed average: 3 GB/s That's right. I'm not joking. It's far above the advertised maximum read speed. But it's true, so I won't complain about it. Lowest read speed: 2.8 GB/s Highest read speed: 3 GB/s Both read and write speeds went above the advertised max write speed of 490 MB/s and max read speed of 515 MB/s. I'd say this SSD performs better than advertised, which to me, makes it a good buy.

I would buy this SSD drive again. If your wanting to improve performance on an older Laptop or PC, this is the way to go, and very inexpensive.

PNY is being a great surprise. I've been using those drives to upgrade some laptops, Macs or PCs... fast, reliable, and has an affordable price.

A 120gig ssd for $20? Yes, please. Perfect for setting up as the OS drive. Install and setup were easy and it is super quick.

This improved my laptops performance so much! Boots up instantly, and no lags anywhere. Easy to install and lightweight.

Good overall buy. 120GB capacity is a good starting amount of capacity but 240GB might be better for power users or gamers. Cloning software available from the internet with purchase. Would recommend this SSD drive especially for computers owners who are replacing their HDD for the first time. Easy install and good customer service available if needed.

This are really good prices compared to no name brands on amazon, that unless you find them for 40 on amazon. Always remember Sata3 is the best for these drive sata1/2 will bottleneck these you would be better off with hybrid drive or high cache 7200rpm drives.

I needed a smaller drive to use as an external backup for photos. It is the perfect size, fast, and inexpensive.

I've bought this for an old laptop (Turion series, Dell Latitude 1521, DDR2 ram) and installed Windows 10 on it. Boots quickly, great quality, installs easy! I've ordered a few of these, mainly in the 500gb size, but the smaller one runs smoothly! They are great for upgrading older computers that have a 2.5 sata port.

My laptop is 7 years old and the HDD eventually died. After replacing it with this SSD it boots up and shuts down at an amazing speed. I'm going to upgrade my new laptop just so it can be as fast as my old one. Great buy.
